    Hot tip : Record audio on TWO sources. Any old Android phone with a headphone jack and a $10 lapel mic makes a great audio back-up or even "wireless mic" alternative.
    PS : Set the phone to flight mode to vastly extend battery life !

    This is really helpful. One of the things I like about modern mirrorless cameras is the ability to store presets. That can cut your list down maybe in half. Of course, even with that I still, well, you know...

    Hello, congratulations for the content, excellent quality, I am an enthusiast and I am very excited to start my tests, for now I have only been filming with a motorola e22 cell phone (bad times), I live here in Brazil for the time being (unfortunately), and about the basic camera for beginners, do you still recommend the same one from the last video? The CANON rebel SL2 24.2MP SLR camera? I can't find it for an affordable price, the fee is too high, any alternative recommendations? And once again congratulations on your extraordinary achievement!

    24p is for cinema only. For everything else use television related framerates, for 60Hz countries 29,97p or 59,94p; for 50Hz countries 25p or 50p.

    Can you please make a video about comparing all the different stabilisations? IBIS, EIS, IS in lenses, IS in an editing software like Final Cut and finally a gimbal. Please talk about all the different combinations of these stabilisations. If I can use for example IBIS with an IS in lenses and so on. This part of filmmaking is really confusing for me, because I can not decide if I want to buy a camera with IBIS or if I can just rally on the lens stabilisation.

    In which country do you shoot interviews at 24 FPS? This is the standard for motion pictures, but not for television, where 30 FPS (29.97) or 25 FPS are the standards depending if you are shooting for NTSC or PAL.
    Also, you watch your footage in REC709, while you are really color-grading your footage. Why don't you advice using a monitor with a custom profile? Then you can make your own LUT and see what you are doing. If you don't do that, working and watching in FLAT is the best experience, but you must understand your FLAT profile.

    I don’t think telling people to shoot in a flat log profile is necessarily accurate. Due to the fact, some cameras bit depth doesn’t really support log formats i.e. 8 bit versus 10 bit. HLG on an 8 bit camera is much more suitable.

  • @iamhossamabdelhadi

    Don’t always shoot in log, shoot it for dynamic range situations sometimes just more neutral picture profiles especially if you aren’t great in coloring

    • @garrettagainpogo4902
      @garrettagainpogo4902 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed. As a hobbyist, i dont always need to color grade. And the first thing i ask myself is am i shooting today in standard or neutral. If its just for fun or to hand over straight to friends or family same day, i will shoot everything in standard profile.

    Monitoring your Audio doesn't mean watching the waveform. Monitoring audio requires headphones. You are not wearing headphones how do you know the sound is clean? You need to listen to what is being recorded don't just look at the levels. That is like leaving the lens cap on and hitting record then not watching the monitor to see the shot is black. "The red light is on must be a great image, I guess we will see in post"

    Who does not like to save money right? We all have heard this economical principle. But...as my teacher said. Prospects want better quality products not cheaper prices.
    U invested so much time, have to pay regular bills...especially electric bill..and you sell Tomorrow's Filmmakers LIFETIME Membership for 97$?
    I know you won't share real economic reason why you went from 4000 $ down to 97$. But i will be very careful from such offers.
