    I'm starting this today. How did i get so far don't the ignorance path in my life. Dear future self, i'm so sorry. Last year i had it and quit life. Here i am today and have beaten back the path of pre diabetes, high blood pressure (15 years) to good 115/65, mouth breathing to nasal, stress to less stress, no fitness to lots, cushion tight toes shoes to no shoes or barefoot. How this such a thing. All the things you have come to assume are good, sane, moral, just, fair, equal, safe, healthy, happy. Screw you greedy world. I'm here to learn and will probably watch all of your videos.
    I'm around -1.5 in one and -1.25, hate blurry distance. so i do what most do and get it dialed in perfect every year and stress if it gets out of wack.
    Post low carb life now, my eye protrude way less, i mean i hand measured and it's about a 1/4" or more. but vision didn't change much and eye pressure measurement didn't either. So i'm sure it was fat around the eye that left. 40lbs lost as of last year to today. I'll see what changes by what you suggest and others have done.
    Today i have blepharitus, for life. Good up close, blurry distance, dry eye. Wake up with searing dry pain, just about for life with the blepharitis. Some biotin vitamins have helped the past few months. Nothing else has ever done anything for 30 years. I'm off eye drops at the moment too. I've had to eye drop since age 9, most mornings, can't open my eye. It's painful. Eye wash, compresses warm water, hot showers, cold showers, nothings don't anything meaning ful. Punctal plugs, eye covers at night. Nada. So here i am. Wish me luck. If it's an eye strain inflammation from muscle spasm compensation. Reading books at night in the dark. That funny enough started at age 9, and lots of tv and games and computer use. Oh if you are right about myopia problems and maybe this dry eye goes away or better. I'll be etearnly greatful.

    The "Active focus" is not a method. It's a trademark. So, you are either buying the misleading title or not.

    I just started a few month back making good progress so far. I am seeing this kind of videos and i am wondering it is always talked about 20/20 vision and diopter reduction but if I would create a statistic about this videos, i would come to some observation: 1. people seems to wear stronger classes then the video title 2. No one talks about how its measured (actually I would like to see some optimitrist measurememts) 3. It seems like nearly no one has a reduction to 0.0 -0.5 which is maybe neglectable, but most are above. So i feel like nearly no one is actually able to throw their glasses into the trash. Also on this channel the word science is used quiet often, one wide accepted method for creating scientific studies is the double blind study where both groups dont know if the get a placebo or the real medicine. I dont expect such a thing here of course but at least a second person that controls the eyesight. Since the people can be influenced by their hope if they measure the eyesight by 1/start blur distance(in m)
    So jake you have worked with so many people and you complain that the eyesight improvement area is already filled with bates which does not work as longterm. So why not doing a study based on the data of the recent years? Start could be old presceiptions or glasses and then it gets measured professionally and as a result we could have some statistic that eliminates the subjecrivity, which is great if you want to be taken seriously by other scientists. Also its not necessary that everything is clear how it works since no one seems to know yet but real data is proof enough and a very good start if you want the public to accept that eyesight can be trained

      Because that method doesn't work. All improvements are connected with ciliary muscles only and aren't constant. Once the eyeball's cells are grown, they can't be self-eliminated. That's why myopia cannot be cured, only corrected.

    • @simonconsumes3901
      @simonconsumes3901 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Ivan-vp7ds please share from where you get all your wisdom, so why do you think its on cellular level and not muscle related which surround the eye? Muscles are constant as long you train them which mens using them which is very likely if you use your eyes :D

    • @Ivan-vp7ds

      @@simonconsumes3901 The theory of endmyopia (reduced lenses and active focusing) seems logical at first glance, but, unfortunately, the reality is not so simple. According to this logic, all farsighted people who spend a lot of time doing near work will develop myopia or at least decrease farsightedness, since the efforts of the ciliary muscle in all hypermetropes are very large. But this is not so - their short eyes do not grow into myopia from excessive stress, because there are factors in eye growth that are not related to the stimulus from the visual system. There are also no studies confirming the possibility of a STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT, SUSTAINED reduction in eye length in response to myopic defocus. You know, I cannot say that refractogenesis does not depend on visual load at all, but the main contribution to eye parameters is definitely made by genetic settings and the functioning of the hormonal system. You know, I know a lot of people whose work involves sitting in front of a monitor, but their vision does not deteriorate because their parents are emmetropes and vice versa: there are people who are carriers of myopic genes, whose lifestyle has little effect on refractogenesis and they develop myopia even without harmful conditions for vision.

      @@Ivan-vp7dsactually they can. Suggest you look at the website and read the studies. There was a guy on the forum actually having his eye length measured to prove that his eyes length was reducing as his prescription strength was reducing. Too much close work encourages the eye length to adapt and grow, doing the opposite encourages them to shrink to accommodate. My prescription was -3.75 and -3.25. Now wearing -2 for night time driving - full strength prescription, but only need -1.75 daytime. 1000s are reducing their prescriptions - optometrists measured - and many optometrist prescriptions posted of reductions and people no longer needing glasses. If improvement wasn't constant I wouldn't be able to see perfectly clearly at all times with my new prescription. Please don't just ignorantly comment on something that is helping many thousands when you haven't done any research and haven't tried the method.

      @@Ivan-vp7ds In animal studies, from monkeys to fish, minus lenses would induce nearsightedness and plus lenses would induce farsightedness; the eye would actually change the axial length both ways. removing the lens, and the eyes would slowly get back to normal. Putting monkeys in a small room where the looking distance is very small would cause nearsightedness.
      Eyes are built to increase or reduce the axial length; stimulus from the lens or the distance you look most of the time causes them to adapt. Nature can't make eyes on the perfect, exact size, so this exists from birth until you die to correct its size.
      Jake likes to milk this and make it complicated, but reducing minus lens power; starting using plus after getting low myopia; spending more time looking far away; and the eyes are going to adapt to that.
      Jake site is not the only one talking about this; many others talk about the same thing. This works for most people unless you have a real problem; most people just have myopia caused by a near-work+minus lens.
