You said it takes you a long time to make things. You can make a jig for parts that repeat. You drew out a drawing of the final assembly of the frame. You could have made a jig for one side of the frame. You use that jig to make all the sides of the frame. Of course the opposite side is the same just flipped over. The jig saves time and makes parts a standard size. All eight sides of the frame could be made quickly and perfectly matching. Love your work man you are really a good fabricator. Also when it comes to painting. A media blaster is much faster for paint prep. It does a better job too. You can strip rust as fast as you can point a gun. You should build one. They are persnickety to use and take a while to learn how. But after you get them to work good they are super fast.
Greetings from Ukraine. Very interesting video. I do not often see people from your country with such a hobby. I'll sign up and eventually watch the whole video.
Another great project. Now the trailer is multifunctional. Thanks for sharing Sorry I didn't realize it was an older video. Just found your channel a few months ago. I really enjoy your videos
Excellent job. I was going to spend 16000 on a great mill from COOK saw the MF32 I think. Anyway. Went to order it. 80 weeks out. Well I can build anything and have the means so after watching you and a couple others I thought what the heck. I am going to start a blog like yours but it will cover many more aspects of many things in life.
It's not my idea but I agree, it's simple and thus brilliant. This system is used on all of this kind of cheap ATV timber trailers. We'll see how well it'll hold up.
Hi! Nice work. Maybe some hook in the middle of crane would be good? Becose when dump box is up its front wooden part has contact with metal wire (?) from whinch. If you have hook and metal wire goes through the hook you wont have such a problem. Hook in the midle of crane can help for other applications too, I think. Hope it could help! All the best for Estonian neighbor from Latvia :) !
I was taught when drilling a pilot hole to choose a drill bit as close to the tip of your larger bit as you can so the maximum amount of cutting edge of the large bit is used. Hope this helps save bits....
I've been watching quite a few your videos.. Grinders and cut off wheels are awesome especially with the advances in the cut off wheels nowadays.. I've been doing field Fab work for quite a while... and I'm not trying to be sarcastic or judgmental but they got a new invention called the radial steel chop saw.. LOL
Good guy great work ,firewood for the house is always in need, but our laws problem to prepare the wood ,it is easier to buy them although living in the woods but the fallen tree can not touch it .
Sweeeet.. I'm not sure if you're aware but just a FYI.. back in the day . Refabricated and made improvements to accessories for Craftsman lawn mowers. And some Husqvarna equipment.. and a lot of other things but long story short.. while using some of this equipment on my property.. guys in trucks would stop by and ask me what the equipment.. more recently by recently I mean 8 years ago I've had people videotaping... long story short ??LOL.. what I'm getting at is patent your ideas.. or show them to the company that you're making the improvements on.. you got skills and very good Concepts.. 2 years from now the company that makes the equipment that you made the improvements on will have that same feature and be making tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars off of it... trust me I've been there... about 25 years ago I had a Craftsman dealership leaving business cards in my mailbox.. sending me all kinds of emotional stuff and business letters that I didn't ask or apply for.. Back then I was working 50 hours a week and I didn't put future two and two together... maybe money doesn't matter to you but that log dumper you just made.. and put all over TH-cam for free.. it's going to make somebody else a whole lot of money..
I'm afraid this bloody camera is not doing a good job on displaying the colors right. It's actually bright red in real life. But yeah, I really like orange for some reason. :D
Good work. Only 1 thing worries me: my atv’s towing capacity is 500kg. It is 750cc atv, not a toy. I have just replaced cvt belt because of towing different heavy things. I’m affraid that If I use your trailer all I can load is 5x20kg cement bags and thats all. :-)
Interesting, I am needing something to haul used bedding from horse stalls to my house. This would be a great way to make use of an already existing trailer
23:55-- для сверления мягких пород дерева используются сверла для дерева или сверла по металлу затачиваются под более острым углом- так древесину более эффективно сверлить!
You did a great job building the trailer and now the inside bed. I think the entire unit is super great. Question do you sell firewood, you have a lifetime supply built up. About being slow, I would rather be slow and right, than fast and redo. I worked with a boy like that, redo almost 50% of his work. I like your work.
You sure like the orange :D Fyi stainless steel nuts will cold weld themselves onto stainless steel bolts unless you put them together with a bit of lube or something like that
I have similar type trailer but mine is only 2' at bottom base and 7'-6"long, my removable elbow stakes are at 90* over tires, roughly 4' wide at top, so I have to use expensive sheet metal. Therefore I need and want a scissors lift design, off a 4' high-ish front post, run cable down around a pulley under box to a scissor like apparatus that I cant figure out............. Maybe i should just start over with a bigger trailer.....
You do such nice work. You use the welder with the confidence as if it were a glue gun. 😁 What do you do for job? How do you pay the rent? Are you employed as an engineer or fabricator? Cheers from California.
What a good idea to have this dumping box inside this log hauling trailer. A friend of mine bought a trailer like this one a couple of years ago. His was a DR Trailer, looks very similar, pretty well exact in fact, even right down to the tires, is your's a DR or did you build it?
Hello, the plans for this box is not up on the homepage? And do you have changes, if you should build a new one ? Can you sit in the trailer or du I have to level the seat a bit more? I sometimes have some people on short trips in the trailer when hunting?. Thanks for the vids!
Is it always cold over there? You are always dressed like it is freezing cold, however the sun is shining at it looks like a nice summer day in the video.
also i really think you should post ur DIY photos with good hashtags... you get pretty fast likes and followers and also as you have ur youtube channel you might get them to follow here also =)

I would add: I want pretty much more "old" videos like this one! ;)

You are my man. Reuse old stuff and build amazing things. Keep on with such content 👌👌
Thanks man!
Excellent design and execution, the draughtsman experience showing through plus natural talent. Love it

Tere! That was a very nice build! Thanks for sharing! It was a pleasure and inspirational too!
Thanks, Злой!
Quedó! , Muy bueno! Y el color de la madera lo dejo más bonito.
Beautiful work, Thank you for sharing your design and process. Your video making skills are great as well.
Thank you very much!
You should make the crane pivot on a base, so if you need to load something heavy you could , swing the crane and use it.
The top of the crane pivots already and I can load logs etc on it.
Your projects are awesome!
That looks like it came on the trailer when you bought it, nice!
Yeah, that was the goal I wanted to achieve. :D
At first I thought you were going to use hydraulics for the actuator. Forget that, this is much easier. Well done, this design makes sense.
It's not my idea but I agree, it's simple and thus brilliant. This system is used on all of this kind of cheap ATV timber trailers. We'll see how well it'll hold up.

Great idea for what i need around the farm.
Great job as always.
Cool trailer! LOTS of fire wood!!

Another great video, with amazing craftsmanship. I just like to see your video every time. Thank you for sharing your amazing video
Thanks for watching man! ;)
That would be awesome work in a fully equiped shop but with those tools...Amazing!
Cheers man! I appreciate it. ;)

Nice,you have,a military mind,your the best,God bless you,and,your family, peace,,boss..
Amazing vid
Cheers, dude!
Nice welding mask!
The thumbnail made the trailer look giant. I'm a little disappointed it's regular size, but still it's a very, very good idea.

Super nice! And also in donn diy orange!
I'm afraid this bloody camera is not doing a good job on displaying the colors right. It's actually bright red in real life. But yeah, I really like orange for some reason. :D

Like for the intro and few more for the video ;)
Love the electric winch since it is one less thing to fail (vs a hydraulic ram assembly)

So, to get started in fabricating you just need an angle grinder, a MIG welder, ... and an infinitely large scrap pile?
Bravo job well done 👏 👏 🤪
WOW you sure have a lot of fire wood
There is a company called Trex atv trailers and they make those but 2 diffrent versions for the crane part
Realy nice !!! :D But i'm a bit sceptic about wood on the floor (you can't weld it heheheheh)and it's quite long ;D Realy good funcionality added!
Yeah, man, what can you do... Nothing beats steel. :D
Wow, wire action!
tu é o cara!
You sure like the orange :D Fyi stainless steel nuts will cold weld themselves onto stainless steel bolts unless you put them together with a bit of lube or something like that
It's actually bright red but the camera overdoes the colors in the sun. My apologies. :D

I Love the modular design concept of this trailer.
How is it that you have so much scrap metal available?
One collects it over a long period of time. :D
@@DonnDIY I've been around far longer than you, but I have collected no scrap, but then I've been a bit of a 'rolling stone'!

It is something similar, but heavily modified.
Very Good vídeo, thank You
Much obliged, thanks for taking the time to watch this longer video. I'm usually able to make them shorter, this time was different though. :)
Are you preparing for some nuclear winter here? I see firewood everywhere ;D
Let's call it my grandfather's hobby - making firewood. All of the firewood you see is cut and split by an 84 year old. :D
Your Grandfather is one 84 year old no one should mess with particularly if he has his axe. ;))
If you stopped cutting wood, how long do you think that all would last you?
Hello, the plans for this box is not up on the homepage? And do you have changes, if you should build a new one ? Can you sit in the trailer or du I have to level the seat a bit more? I sometimes have some people on short trips in the trailer when hunting?. Thanks for the vids!
Great work! Can you post a link to the place you bought the trailer?
Nice!
Cheers!
Nice dude

How did you get Ryan Reynolds to do the opening scene?
Good to see some proper angle grinder art again! Nice trailer bed you made there.
Hahaaa! Now don't you boost my ego, man! :D

I love your video's man ! Greetings from South Africa. Also I'm curious to know what you do for a living.
Day job=BATMAN
Haven't seen any of the wielders run a need up hill . Uphill is a stronger wield any time.
Great video's, but you really need a chop saw and a vise!
I don't trust the chop saws. I trust my almighty angle grinder. :D
Nice Job But I would o made it out of steal and aluminnuim Ligter than wood!
10/10
Yeah
👍👍👍
Hello! Which is the model for the winch? From where do you get that one?
Are using Rebir drills? :D
Everybody likes to use those mig wielders now . If their metal isn't prepared proper ,the wiedes willnot hold .
What quad would you recommend to pull this trailer?
Any Japanese product

Nope, I didn't build the trailer.
Are you using a cold saw cutting blade in a angle grinder?
No. Just a regular abrasive disc.
