Jason says something like how ironic you are here to save one son who has come back from the dead only to witness another son die. This story happened at the same time as the infinite crisis event. Bruce was basically hitting rock bottom at this point. He built the AI Brother Eye that went rogue and was wrecking havoc across the globe killing metahumans. The secret society (legion of doom) took advantage of the situation and dropped the nuke on Bludhaven, and Bruce’s son (Jason) comes back from the dead only to become a serial killer.

I was born in 2004 and my dad rented this movie for us when it came out as he grew up on comic books and introduced me to them young, still one of my favourite batman films and really showed me the darker side of Batman and understand why my dad loved this movie as much as I did now that I’m an adult!

Dick Grayson as Robin, becoming Nightwing and being considered one of the most well-rounded heroes of the DC universe (for overcoming trauma in a way Batman couldn't as a child, being a genuinely decent person, a leader and the natural option as Batman's eventual successor) makes Nightwing Batman's biggest success.
also the fact that some people think that jason was the angry robin when infact he was the opposite makes this film more heartbreaking. dick was more of the angry robin and even almpost killed the joker because he thought that the joker killed tim, unfortuantly batman saved him.

Batman can’t kill people because he serves the role of Gotham’s protector from outside of the law. He can’t be the one who decides who lives and who dies, even if it seems like the choice is obvious. He doesn’t have the right. What’s funny is that no one ever wants to blame the judges who won’t sentence joker to death, the Arkham doctors who don’t fry his brain, the cops who escort him to the station instead of plugging him and claiming self-defense, when everyone would believe them. People come at Batman, even though killing Joker is everyone’s job but his.

Love this movie! If you guys haven't seen it, I recommend watching Hulk vs Thor, Planet Hulk, and Ultimate Avengers 1 & 2. All dope movies. Tbh this is the point where I stop supporting Batman. Yes I do enjoy his character and his origin but man Jason makes a valid point here. Just kill the Joker and that’s it. He doesn’t need to kill anyone else. And don’t give me that bullshit about his code or “if he goes down that road he’ll never come back” crap. Cause when he says that I just think he lacks self control for a man that literally trained with assassins and knows some many ways to kill some one, just let loose for once and that’s it. Jason open my eyes when it came down to Batman letting this psycho clown break out of prison every time and goes on a killing spree. If I was a vigilante, I would try to follow the law and bring in criminals but if they leave me no other choice, if it mean I need to take their life to save one person or save the city, fuck it I’m taking them down, permanently. I always like antiheroes (like the punisher, moonknight and Red Hood) more than these “superhero’s”. Fuck Batman’s code, I’m with Red Hood.
It’s not Batmans job to kill the joker. It’s not his job to be judge jury and executioner. Why aren’t u criticizing Gotham city government for not giving the death penalty ? And Jason literally said that he’s doing all this cause “he took me away from u” so clearly it was more about he was upset that batman didn’t avenge him more so than joker being let out time after time killing people. Also if batman kills the joker, where does it end ? If he kills the joker than why doesn’t he kill riddler ? Two face ? Mad hatter ? Ivy ? Do u know how many people they’ve killed ? Do u know how many times they got out of jail ? And don’t give me the “joker is more insane, those villains are not as crazy as joker” crazy is crazy at the end of the day, innocent people die everyday to those villains so don’t give me that. Example Joker nukes a city and 2 face kills like 500 people, and Batman should kill joker because he’s more insane than 2 face ? Also literally Superman flash Spider-Man daredevil have a no kill rule but I don’t see u criticizing them ? Do u know how many innocent people the green goblin has killed ? Green goblin is almost just as insane as the joker and yet I don’t see u critiquing Spider-Man for not killing the green goblin. And if u like the anti heroes that kill more than why are u watching Batman ? Lol, that’s the one thing I can never understand with people who criticize Batman no kill rule and that is they want Batman to break his code and go on a murder spree lol like seriously if the no kill rule bothers u that much than go watch punisher like u said

I’m just saying as a hero you need to do what’s absolutely necessary to keep the people, the community, the city, the world safe. Because if it comes down to you, saving one person by taking that criminals life I’m gonna take their life to save that one person. Because that’s what “superhero” supposed to do. But after reading and watching Batman movies, and realizing that he can’t cross that line, I would rather be an anti-hero. Like the Punisher, Moonkight and Red Hood, cause they’re not gonna let a Killer break out of prison just to kill again for their amusement. And nothing gonna change my mind. Fuck Batman’s code.

Brother, he almost killed kingpin because he thought Aunt May was going to die. He said if aunt May dies, he’s coming back and finishing the job. Have you not read that chapter or have you not read that Spider-Man literally beat the living shit, almost killed two villains for shooting him with a paintball gun. Not to mention he almost killed Kraven and his entire family but didn’t because he took them down and knew that the threat was neutralized, but he almost killed them. He even said he wanted to kill them. And there’s a part where he made a suit for a criminal who was fused with carnage Symbiot and was going to kill her no matter what but Deadpool intervened and did the job for him because he knew that if Spider-Man kills her, the public will see him differently. Remember he was going to kill her so don’t give me that whole Spider-Man code bullshit. And Superman, dude I was kind of with Superman when the injustice series came out.
