Thank you for watching the video today... it's folks like you that keep encouraging me to make these videos... thank you!
Did you hear the great news? We now have a P.O. Box (P.O. Box 91, Boonville, IN 47601) so ya'all can get all old fashioned and send mail without me getting weird stalkers showing up at my actual home address (not calling YOU a stalker... just saying they may be out there and they can feel free to stalk the post office, not me). Feel free to send letters, pics of your critters/homestead/garden/plant/whatever you like!
I'm also still working my way through "Snackin' through the States" and have Alabama, Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, and Wisconsin covered. Are you in another state? Feel free to send me a care package of what your state is known for and some of your favorites so I can do a fun "unboxing" video with your box! Also, if you are a small business owner and you'd like me to review your product send it my way and I'll do a video with it and steer folks to ya to order oodles and oodles!
Ooh and if you send me a package I'll send one right back at ya with some of my favorites from here on the homestead and my videos!

Works great!! We get a few stink bugs every day. My husband thinks your invention is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thanks for watching!
For a fast and easy way to clean up the garden from stink bugs, I use a portable, hand-held vacuum cleaner on them.
Great idea. Minor correction, it's diATOMaceous earth, not diAmaceous :)
Thanks for the correction! I always thought that’s how I was pronouncing it and I must not have heard my mispronunciation when editing.
I watched a video and the guy said use some water rubbing alcohol and cedar oil in a spray bottle and spray around your house and and doors will get rid of them. I was thinking of trying hair spay. Cause once it drys they can’t fly
I literally just sat here and watch them use that “buddy system” to escape the trap! They get on another stink bugs back to be able to maneuver themselves onto the top of the bottle, then they slowly and CAREFULLY make their way to the lip of the bottle. Then it’s easy to crawl right out. Kind of amazing! I think the bigger life water bottles make a better trap. And don’t put too much tape around the very top over the edges, that way it doesn’t give them something to grasp onto when you’re trying to shake them down into the bottle. Amazing idea !! 💗💡
I know, isn’t it crazy ?!?!
om, i'd go crazy if i saw that many in 1 place...
Not so bad when they are on the OUTSIDE!
Thank you young lady
You’re welcome 😁
I use a wide mouth cup (like from fast food) half fill with water, squeeze some dish liquid in there, which kills them almost immediately, and keeps them from stinking. and if I see one, I just go put the cup under it and most of the time they jump right in (if they don't, I have an old blush brush I use to swat them into the cup) sounds crazy but it works like a charm!! Lol
Thank you so much :)
You’re welcome.
I'm definitely going to be making these traps! Thanks for sharing 🙌🏻☺️
Too much unrelated yapping.
I despise those nasty bugs. Hope your doing well.
For my disgusting invasion this year, my best weapon was a shop vac. I bought a new house last Winter and had an unpleasant surprise in the Spring when they woke up. I tried all the other tips and tricks but nothing worked. Gross! They eventually die from most insecticides but I was creeped out by them crawling everywhere when they tried to get back into my house this Fall. I sprayed insect killer into the canister and sucked them all up. Great for my mental health and was very effective. After a few days I emptied all the dead bugs into a plastic bag and disposed of them. Good luck against these invaders! 🍀

I have a question for cockroach that you can make at home
Is there a video on that ??
Nope, no cockroach videos from me.
Them stank bugs are crazy
Agreed
I planted yellow squash and they totally took over my plants!!! Can you place them in the garden as well???
They won’t go in the small traps in their own… the ones with the puck lights MAY work.
I expect there are other safe household powders that could be used instead of diatomaceous earth. Has anyone experimented with baking soda?
I haven’t tried baking soda… not sure it would kill them and dry them out like DE does. DE is a safe household powder.
What is that substance called? It sounds like diamatious earth but I'd never heard of it, or anything similar. Could you illuminate me please?
Yup, diatomaceous earth
@@simplehobbyhomesteading5557 Thank you!
How about using hair spray. Slay them they can’t fly then they die
Ooops spray
Bug spray don't work
I tried raid, and yes, it doesn't work. I kept hearing shield friction noises when I saw that it didn't work
Never tried it.
I shot the hell right out of bed, when I heard the buzzing when it flew by. I had no idea it was near me.
Edit: It's creepier when you hear that they will flatten themselves to get through crevices. I am literally dealing with these critters crawling into the tractor I drive.
She talking a mile a minute need to cut back on the caffinated water maybe switch to seltzer water 😂😂😂😂
😂 yup, I talk fast even without caffeine 😁
I couldn't listen to her mispronounce Diatomaceous Earth one more time! Ugh.
Can I blame it on my Wisconsin accent? 🤣 probably not… I stand corrected on the pronunciation 😁 I’ll just say DE from now on as j know I can get that right 😁
