Thanks for the video.. I about to start humira on Monday. Its sitting in my fridge at the moment. Freaking out a bit. It's nice to know other people are going through the same thing! I'll keep watching for new videos! Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your story. I have Crohn's disease too. I totally relate to you. I'm about to start humira in the next week or so. I'm a little nervous, but I'm tired of feeling like I have barbed wire being pulled through my intestines every time I eat. I've lost so much weight. I want my life back.
LISTEN TO ME!...I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) when I was 17 and was prescribed Humira when I was 20 when my AS was at its worse. My first shot put me into shock. I was apprehensive from the drug in the first place due to its crazy side affects like development of TB and lowering of immune system and cancer. For me personally it sound like Humira does more harm than good. AVOID IT AT ALL COST! I am now handling my AS perfectly after switching to a plant based diet. I kid you not, it sounds crazy but by switching my diet my life has changed for the better. I dont have any pains at all. I really hopes this helps!
Hi Shelby, I just saw your video and wanted to know if you are still on huomira ?? I have been on since 2018 and I have just experienced Hives for the first time. I really want to Quit Humira
Hi I started humira in July and I have taken a total of 7 shots so far but the last time I had to do an injection last week I had some really bad side effects for the first time. I was nauseous lightheaded with headache I was so tired beyond anything normal and it had me in bed for 5 days. It was all most flu like symptoms without the flu. It was awful and even though my doctor said it's just side effects and that it may or may not happen here and there with injections it makes me nervous to take it again because the last injection knocked me down so bad.
I am due to start Humira in 2 weeks if my chest x-ray is normal. I have been on other medications that lower the immune system and have become very ill. I am only 94lbs and have few fatty areas although the thought of injecting does not throw me at all. I have had Crohn's for 33 years, 7 operations resulting in the minimum small bowel left without having to be peg fed. I have had an ileostomy since 1999 and cope well with that. I have learned to live with my disease but am afraid of this biological medication. The only times I have been ill with colds, flu, and other "normal" people's diseases is when I have been on meds that lower my immune system. Fatigue is bad enough with Crohn's without having other illnesses on top. The CANCER side effect risk scares me too. I don't know what to do....
Stacie Kiser don't be! It's super rare to have complications. And if you are worried about the injections themselves, they are pens you never have to see the needle and you totally get used to it!
Hi I just got on humira on Tuesday but I'm very nervous of the side effects they gave me this medication because my hair has been falling out and they said because my immune system is weak but I've been watching other TH-cam videos and they said that the medicines weakens your immune system n could leave it up to cancer in the future is this true
My Dr told me today that if you have Crohn's disease, that we are at a much higher rate of getting cancer if we do nothing to stop the inflammation. She explained that mostly guys under 20 develop lymphoma. She said that its extremely rare for a woman and someone over age 30 to develop cancer after taking humira.
I take it one a week I went thru it With this medication once u get injection and u take antibiotic and goes away what i found out is it going to move on something else it due help a lot but i dont think its a long run medication I fell being sick a lot 2 but this will kill u in long run

*USE MEDICAL MARY JANE* INSTEAD.
EVIL Co. not everyone has that luxury
Yes ... but cause mental problems like anxiety ... smoking with Humira is not a good idea
I wish you well, but IMO it would have been better if you left our your leftists politics. It is divisive.
