Kudos for keeping the original headers. Honda did a great job with them. The whole stock exhaust in general is a very nice, tidy little unit. Perfect curves in the headers and a compact little muffler on the end. Not a huge bucket of a thing like were acustomed to seeing these days. It's just a shame the sound is so muted, but then stock setups always are of course.

These little buggers have quite a cult following don't they?
Am currently planning a custom job with one of these engines. But it's a lightweight adventure bike, so it will sadly need a longer upswept exhaust.
I'm reading a lot of advice that shorter is better on these engines. Really concerned that the longer upswept solution could be detrimental to power.
I guess I'll just have to play with jets and air to get the most out.
    Any suggestions gratefully received.

That sounds like an awesome project! I'm no expert but I think an exhaust like that could be fine. The guys over at www.hawkgtforum.com would be all over that though, give em a shout. Good luck!

In the video it looks like you have frame sliders on it. Where did you get those?

Looking at the same Delkevic for my GT 650 as well. Did you rejet or just install the slip on and start riding? Any performance change from the stock can?

Yes I rejet. Definitely performance gains, mostly at the upper end of the rpm range

Sean Wolf What kit did you use to rejet? Are you at a regular altitude? I'm at sea level and She's running pretty well right so don't want to throw her off...

      This kit: www.hordpower.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_27&products_id=12
I'm in Denver so it was definitely nice to open up the breathing. I replaced the stock air box with uni pods as well. It definitely made the bike more fun to ride but one thing to consider is that it will put a dent in your fuel mileage and the hawk tank is already pretty small.
If you contact the owner of hordpower (J.D. Hord) he will give you suggestion for what sizes to use if you end up jetting: www.hordpower.com/index.php?main_page=contact_us&zenid=efrg8rv3861ji3jmntvqs2rpa4
Also if you haven't already you should become a member of the hawkgtforum.com -- that forum has all you'll ever need for info and a great community of hawkers that you can even get together with and ride. The things some of those guys do with their hawks is incredible.
Here is a link to the jetting database on that forum:

Hello! I have Hawk too and I am thinking to buy this exhaust. I have question: Delkevic add any DB killer for this kit?

I currently have an old school TB Lefty... wondering if the 2-1 collector will fit on TB headers? and if it is short enough to stay under the bike.... When you have time, can you provide me length of each part? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Give em a call and ask www.delkevic.us/index.php?route=product/product&path=2300_3194_3251&product_id=4249&Title=Mini+8%22+Stainless+Steel+Round+Muffler+to+fit+NT650+%281988-1993%29&SKU=KIT02A0 -- I won't be able to get accurate sizing of the pipes without taking it all off
