In the 60s and early 70s the little 50cc of the day had 14-16 gears and many could rev on to 18000rpm there was twins and even a triple 50cc but things change and the Japanese were back on a more level playing field and East and West Germany and lots of European countries joined in and it got lively again for a while then more rules and regs and it slowly but surely killed it off which is so sad for such an entertaining class...
would wonder how my own 50cc stuntbike would compare, it's a derbi senda Xtreme with a 50cc doppler kit. Makes 15.1hp on the dyno. I heard these things make like 20hp.

Kijk ook eens op de flickr pagina van Theo en Annemarie (zoek op Google). Zij fotograferen dit soort evenementen al meer dan 12 jaar. Ook op dit evenement waren zij erbij, al staan er maar een paar foto's van op. Alle foto's zijn te downloaden.

Kijk bijvoorbeeld eens bij de HMV, CRT, RMM of BOT en SAM...of MCRT......kijk op hun facebook groepen of pagina's. Op de websites staan de agenda's en komende evenementen/.De meeste racers zijn nagebouwde exemplaren en soms origineel. Alles is ook wel te koop, maar niet altijd goedkoop, maar dat kan wel......er mee racen kost bij bv de HMV slechts 55 euro per jaar en dan nog een klein bedrag per wedstrijd. Dan heb je een startlicentie en een verzekering. Datzelfde geldt voor het CRT.....Bij de genoemde clubs, behalve bij het MCRT zijn het demo wedstrijden en gaat het om de regelmatigheid en minder om de snelheid.......Kijk eens op mijn facebooekgroep "Vrienden van de Historische Motorsport Vereniging" Daar kun je alles vragen wat je wilt weten....Groet.

He has a thing called driving skills, it makes you remember what gear you are in by driving an sequential gearbox for some time, of course if our an automatic guy I can see how this seems incredible to you, but trust me, it`s not magic, you just need to focus on what your dooing. And you need to learn to count in the first place, it only has 6 gears...
@@mrGW yes they can. My taotao scooter cruised at 9500rpm constant. A normal dirt bike have a idle at 1800-2000 rpm and a revlimiter around 12-14 depending on the year

If you tried riding it at that RPM for any meaningful length of time it would die a very swift. and violent death and would not be making any useful power at that RPM anyway. Why do you think he shifts at 14k?
@@kevinpnovak indeed, the highest point of torque isn't in the upper range, I guess his highest torque moment is between 12K and 14K. So as a racer stay as much as possible in that range

I love the 50cm³. The highest specific power output and surely very difficult to ride. Very sad that this class was stopped so long ago in GP-Racing.
