Sorry if I seem a little salty (🥁), this episode and the next one made me really understand why you enjoy 2 more - the gameplay takes an odd direction. I tried to tell myself it wasn’t me, I don’t think it’s me 😂 but yeh, it’s an interesting segment of the game, but I did wonder if I was extra off because it’s all on the ocean 🌊 Still, it’s enjoyable, and between this and the next episode I do share some more insight that just “I don’t like this but” 😂 Please enjoy 🥳🫶🏼
So here’s the thing, I’ll skip to my end thoughts about the game. I think I have said before that there are some really good story threads in this game, but then it goes in another direction and it’s like, is the same game? The main reason why I think this is the case is because of how they built the game. From what I understand, they made game levels or areas to play in first, and then went back and made a story around them. They may have sketched out some basic ideas of what they wanted to tell with this game, but they squeezed in the plot to fit these sections. Though there are some really fun set pieces to play in, then plot suffers because it seems rather jumbled and scatterbrained. It’s like a person who can’t focus on something, or in this case the story threads they started.
@@joeb918 Which is why I can't wait for Uncharted 4, they went back to the OG way, Story first, and make the moments happen around the story and 4 does that pitch perfect imo.
I got to say Nate truly has nerves of steel to be out in the Pacific Ocean no idea where he is and is fighting hoards of bad guys completely on his own 🔥🔥✊
I kind of agree with your sentiments on the game here. There is a lot to love with it, especially the variety and ingenuity of the setpieces as we get later in the game, which might be the best in the series even surpassing 2 and 4. The combat for me was too much though and it strikes too similar a path to Uncharted 2 , with its "power" story, though again I like how we see how Drake's obsession here has even his closest allies scratching their heads. More on this in Uncharted 4 however. The Rough Seas section is a lot of fun. I played it again a few years back and when it clicks, its fantastic. However if you are not in the mood of it because of the previous section thats understandable, a lot don't like it too much.
Actually, those aren't even the biggest spanners that exist in real life. Taking a bit more of a stealth approach to the first segment of this episode makes it better, and getting hold of the hammer sooner helps a lot. One criticism I have of all the Uncharted games is the meat waves of baddies. I prefer fewer but more dangerous / harder to kill enemies over dudes coming from all directions. Nates body count after 4 games is insane.
Going through the whole franchise was such a good experience, definitely overall it was amazing, some of the best character development I’ve enjoyed in a series ☺️
For all the previous episodes you've always said follow the yellow paint. This episode you spent the first 30 minuets ignoring the yellow paint which would take you up to the bridge where you could kill everybody in five minuets. It was still fun though, at least for us.
You didn't see the enemies because this game has invisible spawn points. You'll move two steps and they are suddenly there. Also, a lot of the enemies are "bullet sponges", keep that in mind.
The ship graveyard section is the most annoying section in this game for sure. Uncharted 3 is a mixed bag. Has an awesome story and music, but yeah definitely janky. Also it has some really cool innovative ideas, but some of them just weren't executed that great. Some awesome set pieces though. Uncharted 4 definitely plays better than the first 3. But that isn't surprising as it is a native PS4 game and the others weren't
No need to apologize for being salty NAT this part never made any sense to me & didn't add much to the storyline or direction 🤘 still loving the playthrough & sending extra large good vibes to you and family 🌻🐝💖
Rules? Excuse me? There is no fair in combat. The enemy uses whatever resources they have to end you. In a game, the game level dictates the amount of resources. That said, this game was a PITA and you're handling it well.

Ahhh, the ship graveyard... everyone's favourite part of the game. 😂
🫠
One of my favorite part of the game yes.
19:44 Speaking of superhuman. Nate punching guys with armored masks on with his bare hands and winning.

@@ShuffleUpandDeal32 oh yeah I was just guessing, I just know he's somewhere in the deep parts of the ocean lol
Nate, a world class climber, swimmer, strongman - he knows no bounds 😤
@@PhoenixNat a man of many talents lol
It would likely be the Mediterranean Sea.
@@joeb918 yeah most likely

No one wearing shoes on these rusty boats. Tetanus must not be a thing in the Uncharted universe.
Terrible. If Nate doesn’t get them the infection will!
@@PhoenixNat Nate is getting them with rapid onset lead poisoning.
And now I want a rusty nail (drink).

Yeah and tetanus is no laughing matter. It looks a horrific way to die.
Good Afternoon Phoenix looking good
Love this part. But sad you dont like that. I have played this game many times. Thanks for you playthrough. 🌺🌿

That arena sucked I couldn’t see anything in there - including the yellow paint!! 🟡

Really appreciating people sharing these messages about this because it sticks out like a sore thumb in the game.
I’m looking forward to 4 ☺️

Thanks Sean - I was really starting to wonder if I was sandbagging the game, but the consensus is this bit is just off
Yeah definitely to many ideas where to go & how to get there, less is more , I feel so guilty criticising it because it's still such a good game 🤘

😂 thank you for the support
My least favorite section. You know, fear of heights. lol.
