PATCH UPDATE GUYS: The beginning of her skill tree is now at RANK 9!! So my skill advice still stands, but just pop into the red and yellow trees first until her line opens up!
ItalianSpartacus probably a good thing, it seemed pretty op in the early game to get that many bonuses against her main enemies
so as of right now there is a bug where if you auto resolve against the strygos sometimes the knights of origo confederation option wont pop up

Great video. This works on legendary too. Just recruit errant knights and you can slaughter the vampires easily with auto resolve. For people having problems with the confederation bug you have to manually fight one battle,specifically the second battle where you can face the battered down vampire army. Also try to recruit only knights and not other units as the last auto resolve is a bit RNG if you do not go with knights. I can say this works on legendary easily.

That first battle was literally twice as difficult for my campaign. They had 20 units including four regiments of Black Knights, Cairn Wraiths and a Balefire Corpse Cart against my 9ish units.
autoresolve did somehow give it to me with losing half my army, but I decided to go hole up in the town giving me a total of 21 units (mostly peasants) and played it manually.
I couldn't believe this was supposed to be the opening battle with two full stacks. It was epic.
Yeah, that first battle is a pain! A full stack, outnumbered 2-1, with a ton of cavalry and elite infantry - and it somehow gives a pyrric victory on autoresolve on hard/hard, only loosing chaff! But fighting it - i myself find impossible.

Pledge to Duty triggers every time you embed them in a lords army. So you can complete it in 5 turns for free, just by taking him out and putting him back in every turn. There is no real reason to do anything else.

@@italianspartacus And apparently if you disband your own lord it would also trigger Repanse vow for killing lord lol. Found this out when I disbanded the confederated lord.
Great tips on the vows, the tips on the research / economy buildings. and the 1st fight aren't right. Tech Tree: Economic Investment > Improved Construction > Bigger Bobbins. Economy buildings: Weaving House + Cellar (in all the small towns) this gives the most hardcore economy that snowballs you to world domination. as for 1st fight. deploy all your units in the left corner with the trebuchets & archers protected by the infantry (swords in the middle, spears on the left and right side) cavalary on the right side. after army comes into archery range charge the biggest chump with your 2 lords/heroes in the middle. they can tank m for a very long time without losing much. (don't forget to use Repanse de Lyonesses special ability) use the spears to charge the enemy cavalry if they are in range (they should charge your right and left flank) fire with the treb and archers on great swords 1st. they do the most dmg to your lords. use the knights to charge into the enemy right cavalry to clean them up fast use the knights and later for clean up. keep the archers and trebuchets on the big clumb of infantry troops in the middle try kill the lord with your 2 lords. should be a win with 4-20 losses at most. as for the start I like to slow roll it a bit after the vampire lord kill. by removing the infantry building and buying a carpenters workshop buy 9 trebuchets and take the tomb kings + dwarves area within 20 turns. deleting them after capping it and pumping out a proper economy.
Not going for rally means you gonna miss those buffs for your elite troops rank 7 and above, which is a huge mistake.
@1:58 I wonder if that's because it specifically asks for it to be a Legendary Lord?
And those Vampire count factions in Araby have lords not considered "Legendary" like other more important/main factions.
Haven't played Bretonnia since the vow update so I'm just guessing, but it would make sense since the Pledge to Valor is to defeat 5 generic Lords.

Given that Khalida is probably the most benevolent lord to have ever existed in the Warhammer universe the Repanse crusade basically turns into the Spanish inquisition. Apart from Nagash who is one evil s.o.b the other Tomb Kings fall under a weird mix of "alignments". Settra has one of the richest personalities in Warhammer, he is egocentric/narcissistic but at the same time also a great leader who sometimes makes some really bad choices, in D&D he would probably be True Neutral. Khalida is Neutral Good, in the end times she was one of the few who never gave up on helping the living, she took in refugees and even convinced her undead allies to leave the city in that endevor.
Actually the Bretonnians in general treat their peasants far worse than Khalida has ever treated anyone beneath her status, since there are so few truly good "people" in the Warhammer universe I have always had a soft spot for the Serpent Queen. The only reason I havn´t started a campaign with Repanse, I don´t want to go war with neither Settra nor Khalida. I wiped both out with Clan Mors though .... then that campaign came to an end due to the patch, but rats don´t like bones :).

Oh thank you :) I gave up on her because I took the beatting on this first fight where the auto resolve suggested victory and supposed I got her faction all wrong and gave up. Will try again :)

Farms are affected by the peasant economy while industry is not. Build farms for better economy, industry to build bigger armies without caring for the peasant economy thing
Yeah this is what gets me. I'm doing Repanse right now, my first Bretonnia campaign, and peasants really limit my army size (or economy). I wish I had gone for industry instead of farming so I could just ignore the peasant limits in the early game. Kinda seems like industry is better in your first province.
I'm not surprised, but Repanse's skill, The People's Hero was changed to unlock at lvl 9, so I'll save the lvl 8 skill point
I really like the lore of Repanse and the Paladins vs undead theme in general, but in this campaign i usually ecnounter issues against TombKings, especially in 20+ turn.
It seems that Rapanse is quite weak (even with all the buffs from talents), usually the infantry is very weak and get eaten quite fast by either numerous undead or skaven and the cavalry of repanse requires too much of micro management and also suffers from heavy damage from massive hordes of undead or mix of cheap skaven units and ranged (especially sling) skaven units...
also, any meaningful infantry units (foot squires) are very doop into tech tree and you get them quite late into the compaign..
if only britonia got stronger meleee units...
and also, lack of any magic spells.. really missing..
Get a bunch of archers some trebuchet's and use your lord/agent for tanking, melee infantry is just for holding the line 4-5 should do with 1 behind the archer's for the ushabti summon. Use your cav for kiting and picking out isolated units and mass charge at the end, the real mvp's are your missile units and Repanse with pally(DRAW YOUR WEAPONS :)
@@Healberry How do I get a bunch of archers and infantry with the damn peasant limitations? It's like I need more settlements to field more peasants, but then I need more armies to defend all the settlements, and it's an endless cycle of never having enough infantry. I'm stretched too thin. Do I just give up on peasants/farming and go industry?
@@Malus1531 It's been a while since i played bretonnia but i think i only had 2 armies until i got to hippogryph spam/late game. 1 full stack with Repanse for conquest and another half stack for defense you got walls everywhere i didnt have problem with defense. Confederation is your friend you got 2 factions around you which give some early trebuchet and halberds think i had 3 melee, 3 trebuchet, Repanse with a paladin and 3-4 cav rest was archers. And i got a life mage as soon as poossible so Repanse and pally could tank more. I play on legendary so melee isnt and option just tank with your lords kite and isolate units with your cav and have your ranged do the dmg. I went farming economy industry was more of a late game thing with confederation bretonnia grows big very fast, havent played bretonnia in months so this is from the top of my head. Hope it helps
I've struggled, still new to this and learning. I get quite far and then Naggarond obliterate the map including all my settlements.

i have taken most of the continent twice now and had no idea about vows. LOL
I don't believe auto resolve first battle (even here) is a good option. You can get 100+ casualty rather than 300+ from auto resolve by fighting it manually with average skill. Extremely skilled ones can get sub 100. That really matters now because bretonnia have very bad replenishment and second battle is fighting against a lot of skeletons.
I just tested it and the auto resolve killed my army
I pride myself in being fairly tactical and most of the time I can fend off an army 3 times my size if I'm defending... I'm not very good at offensive strategies though
Eh, shes pretty broken and her campaign is disgustingly easy. You can recruit knights errant from the port in her starting settlement and do it 4 at a time, so she rolls through everything around her in auto resolve. Also, I deleted the military building and went with farm eco because money.

Went for lighting strike right away. I’m glad because Clan Eshin came at me with hordes and hordes. Played on Legendary. Also the tech option for the dwarfs diplomacy really helped me because I razed Eshins gold mine and the Dawi called dibs so I declared war took it for myself and was able to make peace with a trade agreement later got a Defensive Alliance.
Hey so whenever I load it up on vortex campaign she nor the paladin she comes with has a mount. Why is this happening and why?
Uhhh.. That's weird.. Look on your equipment tab, can you EQUIP the mount and they just don't start actually on it??
are you using mods?
because some mods do that at the moment. (community modding framework on steam does exactly that atm)

So I actually have 1 question, is it worth sinking my cities into an Industrial economy if I want to field a larger number of peasants or is the bonus there minimal? I was going to ask to what extent the loss of income for competing economy buildings were, region, province, or empire, but I saw the tooltip in game.
She doesn't show up in the campaign faction selection screen (available in custom battles though, so I have downloaded it seems).
I am at Turn 200 with 2000+ chivalry, every tomb king wiped out as well as clan mors, the rest of the continent allied. How do I complete this campaign? lmfao
How do you deal with the major economy hit of those 2 knights faction confederating to you?
I swear, for knights, all their army are constituted of is peasants and no knights (ruining my farming economy in the process too)...
Another question, are the Dwarves more worth it to have the military agreement? Or should I be conquering them? Will they actively help me in the conquest or are they gonna stand there in their territory like those 2 knight factions? I swear, im about ready to go at war with those other knight faction just for some free exp lmao

On my run, all the southern part has been taken over by the dark elf and they been poking my ass and none of my allies are helping......*sniff*

Did you had any problem with pirate at war with you?
Sometimes they do, but just try n avoid em. On higher difficulties they can attack your coastal settlements I believe, but don't quote me on that!
@@italianspartacus Just got a computer able to run the game so im still learning the game on easy and normal difficulty. I dont think pirate gonna be a problem at those difficulties. Thx for the feedback
@Jarl William @Ben Ethier Not to sound elitest as everyone should play how they want, but most people tend to agree that hard difficulty is how the game should be played. Of course gain your stripes, play easy/normal to start, but hard allows the AI to perform sub optimal moves while making it so you have to actually strategize a battle once and a while. Or just cheese it... :p
