I personally apreciate they are commited to the idea that MotW and CotW are a new era in the series and with that some big changes had to happen to some characters, specially the original characters It seems the stage its Chinatown from Art of Fighting 2 apart of Lee's clinic you can see a lot of Chinese motives and even the bus its hidden there Kain was one of the mob's leader in MotW and his ending it seems that he finally reach the post of leader of all SouthTown underworld and Billy has the Howard Connection the "legal" part of Geese's bussines

But I think this is perhaps Chris Sharpes pulled him off. As for his design…this is the best I think Ol’ Sir William MUFFUGGIN Kane is doing good for himself after Mr. Howard’s Demise tryna finish what he started with Mr. Terrence from Smash. But yeah, you called it from the get go OG & 2nd Southtown are set in the 2000’s and depending on how you see it so is SF6, but yeah City of the Wolves is embracing The Old Blood & The New Generation about to clash. So this really confirms that The Remaining Lone Wolves are confirmed…Tracksuit Joe and Cool Fit Andy are on the way…unfortunate for the former.
RE: Billy doing the title call at the end there's a couple games I can think of where during booutup instead of just having a standard announcer read stuff out a random character will instead, for example on bootup Puyo Puyo Tetris randomly chooses a character to do the SEEE-GAAAAA call instead of using the stock sound effect, I think one of the Mario Strikers games does something similar with the nintendo/next level games logos, I have a feeling this is similar to that
I have a legit question towards people who seem pissed he does not have his bandana. "Were people pissed in 1999 when Terry was not wearing his iconic cap in Garou?"
the look is definitely a matured-up Billy, but the voice direction clearly isn't you'd think he would sound more manic than this at least as a proof that he never actually let go of his grudges against Terry even as a CEO can't believe 10 years would change a person this much
I like this new design but it doesn't really look like billy to me i guess thats what happens when a characters design stays relatively the same for so long
It's a redesign that only applies to Fatal Fury, as the characters age in SNK's classic series. In kof he will remain as usual in his prime, just like Terry.
Can't believe SNK ripped off Arc System Works, Billy is a blonde British zoner who dresses in red and blue, just like Axl Low from Guilty Gear. Smh c'mon Capcom. Do better.
Also am I the only one who noticed that billy and axls designs in the their second games are both the same thing? They started out buff as shit with a bunch of Jean looking stuff on and then became twinks wearing British flags basically.
I don't know about the design I'm afraid it's similar to sf5 problem. too many blonde generic characters with blue eyes. Kevin then Billy looking too similar and the voice is off too. Billy has no eyebrows and a mean look to him. he doesn't have that cool guy ken attitude. No cool smiles he has crazy laughs. plus he is supposed to have aged a bit yet his hairline is that of a guy in his 20s. instead they should have gone with a slick back hair with a ponytail or anything but that generic spikes blonde boy look. The rest of the design is Ok I guess yet a bit too generic too. just my opinion. oh i forgot about the sunglasses. those are awful.

Billy Kane is my favourite Fatal Fury character. It will take a while for me to get used to his new look but I love his voice.
