I agree with you about wearing the right color. As soon as you wrap the blue scarf around you your face sparkle. 🌟

I have heard that if you look at the veins on the inside of your wrist it will show warm or cool. If the veins look green you are warm and if they look blue then you are cool. it works for me, I am warm and they look green. Thanks for doing these videos.

This takes me back to the middle 80`s when "Colour Coding" was all the rage and I was colour coded by an American lady who did this as a proffesion.Summer.It has stood me in good stead all these years.Summer and Winter can sometimes wear the same colours. My "black" was supposed to be dark plum, however, as a natural light blonde I really like myself in black sometimes.

Very informative. Thanks so much for your effort. I never gave it importance. I certainly understand more now.

My skin tone hasn't changed, but my skin color has. I am so much paler these days than I used to be, and that might be confusing to some people who are not sure of their season too. In my late teens, and up until I was in my 50's, I was a redhead (natural blonde, but colored red), but a coolish red - never very orangey, and wore forest greens, camels and rusts etc. (they were in fashion too!)! I went back to my natural color as my skin got paler, as it was more flattering. I agree about the black - I much prefer dark or dusty colors on myself, but never go darker than a charcoal. Navy is horrendous on me - completely draining, as are most jewel tones, but a dusty sage, or bluish-green, periwinkle or a creamy white (not beigey)are the best. The coat story is funny - because I live in a very cold climate, everyone wears big puffer coats, and the majority are black. I refuse to wear one, and have been lucky enough to find one in a soft teal, and a dusty cranberry.

Just wondering Tricia - as a cool tone, like myself, do you ever wear green? I just love your videos! Thank you.

Please add a link to the company you are mentioning that shows clothing by skin seasons as I am in the U.S. and unfamiliar with it. Thank you so much for your help and a very informative video!

So the fact that we may tan in summer doesn't change the colors we can wear? I go toasty in summer and pasty in winter, and have problems knowing what to wear when.

That's right - you would wear different shades of the same colours when you are toasty and when you are pasty - the undertone of your skin would still be the same. Tx

I’m not sure now! I thought I was warm toned, but perhaps not. Hmmmm ...

Don't fret either way Tricia - maybe you are more neutral. If you like warm colours, wear warm colours. The important thing is that the colours you choose make you feel good. Tx

Tricia Cusden possibly. I hate russets, browns, creams and yellows and tend to go for blues, peachy pinks, white etc. I’ll be interested in your lippy chat today, as I’ve got the colours wrong with my two
