Thats exactly how it was for me and guitars I told myself the only way I could be the best was to play the best,so I bought a 96' Jackson KV1 Mustaine sig..No more excuses to not be the best...Now you have no excuses haha
Kaster Troy The funny thing about my comment I find it that I used the term footage which is from back in the 35mm silent film era of decades ago. What would you say would be a more appropriate modern term to use today considering that we don't technically use "footage" anymore?
Thank you. We always use the original Ronin and it works great every time. I haven't used it, but the Matrice is supposed to be the copter to use with these cameras.
Most definitely. Its taken much longer than expected. I had to return the batteries I bought and the new ones i ordered haven't arrived yet, so I really haven't been able to do anything outside of the house yet.
K0S0s Unfortunately the Raven is backordered dating back over 1 year and they're not accepting anymore orders at this time. If there wasn't another 6-12 month wait on the Scarlet-W, that would be a great choice. I'm not sure how I feel about the Xeen's. They have a green tint to them and are the exact same optics as the Rokinion Cine DS's but at over double the price.
They do have a green tint for sure. I have made copys of all my LUTS (Daylight, night, indoor, outdoor, etc..) and made a XEEN folder that accounts for the green. Was not much work at all. And, I totally understand what you are saying. I own a Rokinon DS set for my personal DSLR and such.
I had a pre-order in for a Scarlet-W in June, and once the EW was released, they sent me an invoice to pay and it was ready to ship once payment was made.
hey kyster I liked your video I have used the canon 6D for work and it's good overall but I have been getting a lot of projects that require more investment specially commercials music videos and short films so I'm buying a red epic dragon 6k with all it's propper accessories (used) however Idk if its a good or wise investment to buy a red epic dragon on 2017 (USED) , do you think I should get a red scarlet w instead since brand new with all it's accessories is about the same price? -Thanks
Hi Josue, I would definitely wait and get a Scarlet-W. Even though the Epic Dragons are amazing and still being used to film huge movies in Hollywood, their value is dropping drastically and I personally don't think they're worth what people are asking. A Scarlet-W is essentially the exact same camera as the Epic Dragon but in a 5K version instead of 6K. The low light is also much better as all the internals are upgraded. Plus the implementation of DSMC2 is huge. IMO the SW is the best bang-for-buck camera ever.

RED will accept either choice but most likely your credit/debit card company won't let you transfer that large of an amount, so you will need to wire transfer.

DID YOU UPGRADE TO 60FPS? The extra 5K upgrade makes the purchase worth it, 8k 30FPS WAS SUCH A TEASE. In the end, 8K 60FPS, HDR, good for 10 years?
I actually didn't. I can get about 100fps in 6K so thats more than enough for me. Super happy with the camera tho for a very long time :)

Thanks buddy. I don't think so right now. Possibly a follow focus in the future but I think it should be good to roll like this for a while.

I woulda bought a raven or Epic MX and invested in some nice PL glass... Like a cp.2 set or rokinon XEEN.

You can't put a PL lens on a Raven. The Raven is EF only

Yea, the footage I've seen from it so far looks incredible. For only a few thousand more the new Scarlet-W blows it away though.
