    When you discussed your Dad I was very touched. A friend went the IVF SMBC route years ago and her Dad was the main support. Her doctor suggested she get her Dad a journal or show him how to video himself so it could be given to the child about how her granddad thought and felt through this process. That little girl created out of my friends desire to have a child cherishes the video and journal from her grandfather, sometimes more than those from her Mom. To know that a man of an older generation felt nothing but love and acceptance means a lot to her.

    I did IVF to get my children. It was after 3 failed IUI attempts that were mandated by my insurance provider. I am now the mother of three. 2 are from IVF. 1 fresh, 1 frozen, and 1 who showed up on his own after I stopped trying. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Although, I am partnered--I pray for your SMBC success.

      @@WahimaLino Yeah, my insurance provider made my try Clovid for 3 rounds, then IUI for 3 rounds before finally approving me for the more expensive IVF. That's 6 wasted months!!! Anyhoo, I got what I wanted, I pray you will too. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

    Hi, good for you! Just some words of encouragement- I started trying to have a child on my own at age 39. I am now 49 (I turn 50 on Feb 28) and am 6 months pregnant with twins. I decided that 2020 would be the last year that I try (my last year in my 40's). Did embryo adoption for the first time and it worked!

    You are extremely strong and brave. In no way I’m trying to do a comparison but I think it’s important to understand that many women feel the same way in regards to wanting a child but not in an ideal relationship but they forgo knowing they are bringing a child into a toxic situation for the sake of creating life. The fact that you refuse to settle for an unqualified man and choosing the single mom path is showing how much love you will give your child. So many women resent their children because the relationship did not work out when it should always be about the child and the love they deserve no matter what the circumstances. I’m rooting for you and I pray that you have a strong support system because motherhood is the biggest and hardest thing in life ❤️

    Don't ever be shamed by other who have an opinion on you wanting to be a single mom by choice, or anything.
    People have shamed (and are shaming) me for not wanting children and they can mind their own business and mind their own choices.
    It is YOUR life, it is YOUR body and it's YOUR choice, and no one else's. You have the courage & strength to go through a whole procedure to do this and I am proud of you, I admire you and you got this !!!
    I hope the fibroid situation will be solved and I can't wait to follow your journey.

    Your dad sounds amazing! I'm glad you have a plan and an amazing support system. I wish I had made these types of decisions in my 30's.
    I wanted to add a little additional context on home insemination types. Most people doing home inseminations are not doing IUI as they are not breaching the cervix and entering the uterus .They are doing intracervical insemination or ICI. IUI at home can involve a mid-wife and should always involve washed sperm.

    Who knows maybe in that year of rest you will find the right person. I met my husband at the age of 34, 2 years later we tried to have a baby and had 3 misscairages. We started IVf in September 2020 , 2 failed cycles and now I am pregnant. Dont let the egg and age thing bother you I produced 19 eggs and we are left with 5 frozen embryos now. I am a strong believer in timing. Anyway good luck on your journey.

    • @WahimaLino
      @WahimaLino  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When I made the announcement she looked at me and said "Okay" after I prompted her by saying "Mom?".
      In my experience that doesn't mean that she will help, it more than likely was just an acknowledgement of my statement. I think she will assist with a baby, but a child that speaks and asks questions or doesn't do exactly what she says ,when she says it, will only be mildly tolerated. HOWEVER, only time will tell. I'm holding out for a possible change in patterns.
      Typing this out to you, if different that saying it on camera. 😉

    I had IUI three times and no go. The reason is because I am "not a candidate for invitro fertilization" (my uterus was too small so they would not be able to see what they are doing) . They also could not even see my egg production.. only my blood work revealed that I released an egg monthly. ... Then the next cycle after my third IUI I got pregnant! ..how? By natural means! ....I just want to say don't believe it is as grim as they make it sound...are you sure your egg production is low...because I am sure you are very fertile age dont matter!...I knew in my heart I was fertile at 36 why because I had had 2 pregnancies in the past (lost those pregnancies unfortunately)

  • @The_Real_Black_Jesus

    I've dealt with baby fever as well... 🥲 everyone around me has babies so that puts emphasis on my situation. As a man, when I go out I have to be extra careful to make sure parents don't spot me catching glances at their kids while sporting a big smile, all in an effort to not seem like a creep. 😅
    Side note: There is a lot of shame put on women in general in almost all social expectations, much more so then men. Women have to deal with much more than I can ever imagine and at times it's difficult for me to understand a woman's struggles, thoughts and fears because their perspective is so vastly different from that of my own. I have to actively make a concerted effort to be sure that everything I say or do is done in the utmost consideration regarding a woman's potential thoughts.

    Wah sorry to ask you this question . Dont you think it is selfish to have a baby without Unkown father?? . Why dont you try dating? And get married at least it is more safe, and the most important the child knows who is his father when he grow up.
    Im 38 too and i have fabriods tooo and im really worried to not have kids and im trying hard to have the surgey to take off the fibriod out of my body and find my other half as soon as finish the surgey. I realy wont have a child and be selfish just to be a mom without thinking about the child his/him self when he grow up. I

    • @xoxoJakari
      @xoxoJakari 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      How is that selfish? There are amazing single parents out there! Knowing who the father is is no guarantee for quality of life. And if she goes through Soren bank or close friend there is still a chance for the child to know there father. She explained that she has put thought into this in knows that’s not attempting to be a mom would be something she regrets. Not everyone needs a partner to feel whole

    • @123coaca
      @123coaca 3 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Being married or having a partner does not guarantee stability. Yes it has it pros for obvious reasons but look at how many men are with women and just get up and leave during or after the birth. I do not find her decision selfish especially due to her circumstances that she has explained in her video. Sometimes people don’t find their ‘soul mate’ at 20 and as she has stated she has been dating and hasn’t been successful in that area. I’m 25 and honestly feel like I would be a single mother by choice. But that could just be me being brought up with a single parent with no father what so ever

      Being married, in a relationship, or just dating doesn’t guarantee anything. Being a single mom by choice guarantees being able to Create a family based on your own terms. You can cultivate a world around your child that is as healthy and beautiful as you want it to be. It’s a huge but beautiful choice and i commend her for it ! As a women on her smbc journey as well it’s a much bigger community than people think I’m glad Wah is sharing this part of her life with us !

      "Try dating"?! She's been dating all this time and just hasn't had a relationship work out. She stated it in this video and on her other channel, which I've been following for several years. I began dating at 17 and didn't get married until I was 35...it's not that easy for everyone to find a quality partner to settledown with but it's not from lack of effort. Please give her some grace🙏🏽
