He was a short-lived character, but he was a true testament to the beauty of The Walking Dead because he truly WAS the walking dead. A man haunted by the horrors of the old world (medic in the army), and thrown into a world where he can only find solace at the bottom of a bottle. He kept surviving until he ran out of time, all because that's the only thing he knew how to do. He made mistakes, but that's because he's probably one of the most human characters to even appear on the show.
johnnymccraze what I like most about him though is that he never turned his back on his people and he was honest and kind hearted. He never really did anything for you to hate him but it seems like everyone forgets him.
+Sir Venture ABSOLUTELY. Possibly my favorite sequence thus far of the show. Completely takes you to the depths of despair and hopelessness with nary a word. Utterly beautiful and stoic.
These kind of scenes are my favourite. Makes you realize that everyone has their own story and all kinds of challenges they had to go through. One of my favourite scenes in the whole series.
Modestas Malakauskas I know right. I want them to do one on the origins of Michonnes Legendary Katana. How did she get it? Was it with a previous owner? Her first walker kill with it?
Bob was a humble, and gentle soul. He saw light when others could only see the dark. He didnt care who you were, or where you've been, he only cared that you took him in and made him one of your own. Something these character's, especially Rick should take with them the rest of the way. He didn't carry a sword, or a crossbow, but he carried around a heart of gold which to some is more important then anything else. He was able to overcome a personal demon, one that cost a fellow group member their life. His death is one of the saddest moment's in the history of the walking dead. Bob will be sorely missed...
Tainted meat....fuck. After seeing this scene for the first time I thought Bob would be some badass character that will live through the end...still a badass character though.
yeh for the first time in a while i've actually been really sad that a character died, he went out with a bang and the death was handled really well, I hope that new characters they will introduce in future seasons will be as good as this one and if they die have memorable deaths like this one. R.I.P Bob Stookey.
Yeah, this sucked on a few levels. I love Bob for all of the reasons everyone else loved Bob. I also love the actor, as he is from the greatest show of all time (The Wire). I wish the tainted meat scene had been with Dale as it was in the books. Bob deserved better.
One of the best moments ever , imho, of the show. His thousand yard stare combined with the song, and location shoot, say more than so many characters. His apathy and hopelessness completely sum up the dread and defeat any one would have come to in a situation like this. God knows, i would be right there with him, downing cough syrup and shuffling along in numbness. We miss you Bob.
I love scenes like these, were the character is shown wandering alone, trying to survive by heading to anywhere better than wandering. This scene, and the Governor abandoned post-Woodbury are my favorite scenes.
Truly underrated character. First time seeing him and i didn't give much thought but as he got more screen time, and especially after watching this amazing scene, Bob became one of my favorites. Really felt like he connected with me personally, especially the whole "not wanting to be alone" thing. Was incredibly upset watching his death after he had just started to shine. R.I.P. Bob.
This... Shane's 18 Miles Out ending song Civilian and The Governor's song for the intro of his episode are the 3 best uses of licensed music in this shows history. This one was powerful... Bob was a great character, sad he isn't around anymore. He was better off on his own but at least he found a little bit of love in Sasha and got some of his humanity back when he joined the group.
IMO this was a simple but powerful episode, it gave us insight on who Bob is... a loyal man with integrity and humor. I hope he will hang around for the whole S5, I will be pulling for him!
I think we all have felt like Bob before at some point, because of some situation or feeling. The writers didn't realize the gem of a character they had here
We’re in season 10 now and GODDAMN! Characters were so much deeper then! Also much more despair which allowed characters to look to one another for hope. Now in season 10 the show is a heartless, soulless, serial thriller with no actual thrills.
What’s incredible is that he never committed suicide through all of this but when death came for him he was relieved because he got to die first for once. Kind of an incredible outlook on life
Bob is one of my favourite characters. I wish he lived longer and actually got to have a long relationship with Sasha, they were really cute. This makes me feel bad for sasha too, lost her boyfriend, then her brother, then Abraham...And then she died. It's heartbreaking
Walking Dead gave me a lot of really great songs. this was one of them. It uits so much into the tv show. One thing i always loved with this tv show is the ambience and the music they play
The Walking Dead is a drama show but for some reason this was the only scene that made me sad. He had no emotion through this whole thing. Swallowing a while thing of z Quill and being wide awake staring at a walker like he was not even tired. This is emotional.
Bob is one of my all-time favorite TWD characters. I think that he was probably the deepest thinker and most philosophical in the series. "It went down the way it had to, the way that it was always going to." - Bob to Tyreese "This is a nightmare and nightmares end." - Bob to Rick And of course, one of my all-time favorite TWD moments was the "Tainted Meat" scene.
One of my favorite scenes from the show. Bob was a very likeable character in episodes he appeared in and he's sadly missed. LOVE THE WALKING DEAD! #TWDFamily
This is a real good scene. It really touched me and I started to know what kind of person Bob is. It made me think he would make it. But now, with 1 leg, I don't think so :(
Dostum bu adama bayılıyorum, the walking dead 11 sezon boyunca en sevdiğim karakterlerden biri bir diğeri de Austin amelio nun canlandırdığı karakter bu adami çok seviyorum ♥️♥️♥️
THANKS FOR DOING THIS SONG... I HAVE A BAD FEELING THAT BOB WILL NOT MAKE IT IN SEASON 5... I HOPE I'AM WRONG. THE TRAILER OF SEASON 5 LOOKS LIKE BOB BITS THE BIG ONE.
***** idk maybe he set up the last two groups he was with he did say he was the last survivor of the last two groups and maybe hes crying because he sees the group is like family and not bad people and feels BSD for what he's about to do
He had a pretty peaceful death for the standards of twd, he died believing that there was a cure in Washington and that the group was going there and was going to be safe there, and he died with friends around him and was able to rest in a couch

It's amazing what 3 minutes of a character wandering and a good song can change the way you think about them.

Very sad scene. He was so lonely, down and lost. He just wanted to be with another human. Didnt matter.

In a way Bob was like the heart of the show for the short while he was there. I appreciate this character alot
The shot of Bob downing some cough syrup in his shelter is pretty real. A hopeless wanderer can try to find solace any way he can.
I didn't even notice that it was cough syrup...
He also suffered from being an alcoholic. Hence the syrup. Still an excellent scene
A DXM trip would be pretty damn scary in a zombie apocalypse.
Lol I thought it was mouth wash
he was just trying to survive like everybody else
Tainted meat....fuck. After seeing this scene for the first time I thought Bob would be some badass character that will live through the end...still a badass character though.

U saw that he was bitten in that scene so why u think he would live through the end

Great scene. I loved when he is laying on the top of the trailor and letting the walkers walk by... hope he makes it through the season
