The moment I knew was when I saw the first Police Academy movie. The Blue Oyster Bar scene. It never bothered me ever. In my opinion Rob Halford is the greatest Heavy Metal singer ever. There's nothing wrong with being gay but it's the sole reason they lost so many fans and do not play the venues that iron maiden have been playing for the last few decades. Heavy metal rap and country fans are not fans of the gay community and even if they like the music a lot of you guys won't go to the concert. I knew he was gay in 1990. I was at Rose Records in Madison Wi, aged 12, buying a Priest record and the clerk told me. I didn’t care then and don’t now. The only thing that bothers me are these dumb accusations against him regarding Jani Lane. There's nothing wrong with being gay but it's the sole reason they lost so many fans and do not play the venues that iron maiden have been playing for the last few decades. Heavy metal rap and country fans are not fans of the gay community and even if they like the music a lot of you guys won't go to the concert. If that were not the case Judas priest would be selling out the same venues as iron maiden as they have equally good songs and stage presence
