I'm ready to buy a new smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus & Ultra) in March or April 2025. The best phone ever since Galaxy S21 Ultra with rounded corners. Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S23 Ultra & Galaxy S24 Ultra suck with sharp corners.
The S22 Ultra's stock camera app is trash in low-light conditions. I use gcam camera app, and then it is much better. This proves that software is the issue, not the hardware.
Quality of cameras only come into picture when you are taking low light ones. In bright day light 200 dollar phone and 1200 dollar phone roughly takes similar pics
@sercan272727 My 10 year old DSLR takes million times better pictures than iPhone 16 Pro or S24 Ultra in lowlight at half the price. For great pictures at night, any flagship phone is still underwhelming, so don't fall for these hypes much.
A sensor upgrade for the 3x is long overdue. It doesn't make sense where 1x and 5x have really good quality but when it comes to the middle of the zoom range (3x) it's way worse
how do people not realize yet that above a threshold the MP count doesnt really matter, it is the sensor size and most digital cameras have less than 24 MP but large sensors. besides the fact that smasung defaults to 12 mp so 99% of the time you dont shoot those megapixels that are supposed to cover for small sensor size
the problem is that the 5x is a periscope lens, so having two periscope lenses means less space for other components like the s pen and battery. Other companies like Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi have implemented two periscope lenses before, but they had to shrink the battery and none of them had s pen. I hope Samsung gets innovative but their current CEO is just making it another apple.
The same cameras and same battery for 5 years in a row. What is this nonsense S26 or s27 is the year they step it up somewhat. Samsung had already said they won't use 1 inch sensors so this is just bs.
Can you tell me your achievements in last 5 years? Posting such attention seeking comments is easy, but when consider technology challenges then you will understand how difficult it is.
@ParagOak 1 inch sensor is not a developing new tech question, it's just a decision they make. 1 inch sensors already exists in smart phones for 3-4 years, they dont even have to make their own they can buy it from Sony, yet samsung is just prioritizing making phone thinner, which nobody needs at this point.
Discussion of the back camera has been extensive across various channels, but no one has yet addressed the front camera's capabilities, improved video quality, or enhanced face recognition.
Man...people expect magic from their phones when, at the end of the day, physics still wins. Tiny sensors and computational photography can only go so far. If you want crisp, clean, high-quality shots-especially in low light or with motion-nothing beats a proper mirrorless camera. Phones are great for convenience, but there's a reason photographers aren't ditching their Sony Alphas, Canons, or Fujis for iPhones. or samsungs , holding a real camera just feels better. SO It’s not that phone photos are bad, but they’re more algorithmically pleasing than accurate. A mirrorless camera, on the other hand, captures what’s really there. No faking it.
I hardly take 1X photos....so any sensor works for me.... Majority of my photos are from 3X, 10X and 30X... if they improve that....i will look forward for it
I don't even know if you understand what you read or if you're just straight up making up all this stuff. At 3:35 can't you see that the focal length is 23mm? It's the main camera and not the Ultrawide. The specs are already leaked for the main camera, how can you still speculate for a 1inch sensor? Sad state of the cannel these days.
Main thing is will they be using the new silicon battery technology Because 1 - it is new technology 2 - considering the Samsung's history will they jump in 3- if they didn't they will be far behind the whole year and so reviewers will recommend it
1 inch sensor isn't gonna debut with the S25U that's for sure. Cause this big of a leak can't be surpassed for so long. It's probably reserved for S26U. But that'd be a huge upgrade then!
They already have sensors larger than the 1/1.3". It is a 50MP 1/1.12". They should have used that for UW BTW. Anyways a 1" 200MP primary with 25mm can be followed out with a 200MP 1/1.4" 3x with 75mm focal length. Also that sensor could be used for in sensor 5x magnification. That way they could use their 50MP 1/2.76" JN1 for 10x optical magnification with 250mm.
They need to fix the front camera and image processing. Always looking like an unsaturated airbrushed mess. Google and iPhone are eating them up in that regard
Perfect galaxy ultra would be 1inch wide and ultra wide, 4x zoom and 8x periscope zoom. And AI enhanced 2x & 3x from the 200mpx 1 inch sensor with improved video and log and photo processing like the xiaomi 14 ultra 😚👌
Buy VIVO X200 Pro. Samsung S25U has low memory, small battery, old screen m13, old camera. Software can improve through updates but hardware limitation means you have to live with it or buy a new one.
People must understand that only hardware isn’t important in smartphone cameras. Also a sensor is much more than only a chip A lot has to do with software and the soc. A soc contains the ISP ( image signal processor) which is very important so even if the sensor itself a not upgraded the output can be much better with better software and ISP
I remember the press release about the 200 mp 1 inch sensor last year - cos as far as I'm concerned 1 inch and 200 mp is the holy Grail for sensors. And much as I'd love you to be right, it's highly unlikely to make it to the s25 ultra, sadly - no one has mentioned it since apart from you. It is likely to make it to the s26 ultra though and indeed that's what was suggested last year when news of the 200 mp 1 inch sensor first broke. As for the ultra wide having an f number of 1.7 that's just total nonsense - those specs are for the main sensor which has gained a 0.2mm bigger focal length. I did see an article suggesting they were for the ultra wide but it didn't make sense and other articles I read all said the specs related to the main sensor. Guess you only saw the one suggesting they were for the ultra wide but come on - a 23.2mm f1.7 ultra wide ? ! Those are main sensor specs.
