I'd seen discussion about Hontue, and, somebody said that it was surprisingly complex, for a drugstore perfume. I'd bought my sister Jontue and Nuance, and couldn't jeep my nose out of them. She liked my Ambush.
Great video!!!😍😍😍OMG, you just made me realize I used to have Gloria Vanderbilt perfume - I completely forgot about that until I saw that bottle!!! I used to wear Eternity back in the day too. Cool selection!!
Hi….I’m really enjoying your Chanel! Tfs your vintage scents…We sound about the same age! I remember so many of these scents I worked at woolworths, one of the last ones in our area in the the late 80’s.
Omgosh I didn't know you had a channel! Congrats and your voice is perfect for this 😻 I see you in comments everywhere. You have some beautiful old school jems here, love it 💕 tfs 🙏🏼
Love watching + listening to your videos. I adore Oscar, Eternity (mmmm carnations + greens), and Oxygene, and based on your reviews, really need to try Jontue!!
My mom gave me Calvin Klein Eternity & I agree. Clean & classic. It is borderline masculine, . I wore it on casual Friday workdays & finished the bottle. Great review! 👍
Omg! I can not believe how similar we are. After I started my TH-cam channel, I found you and not only do I film my hands only, but I have so many of the same fragrances. Love Jontue and Gloria Vanderbilt. And I also worked in a shop that sold primarily pantyhose in the 80’s. 😯 Btw…love the black and white photo. 💛
My go-to was always White Shoulders, I love the clean white floral and soft baby powder fragrance, and my other was Ambush, also a floral, but more soft and sultry, maybe a bit musk-y. But I can't find Ambush anymore ☹️
I love Oscar. It was quite revolutionary when it came out. Those green spices with the white florals. Just beautiful. I have an older bottle. One spritz lasts for days on clothing. Thank you for sharing your treasures! I read that Oxygene was spicy so I steered clear but I may give it a try it it's aquatic.
I found Gloria Vanderbilt at Ross for $9.99. I guess I should’ve bought it elsewhere; mine smells similar to when I wore it in the early 80s but when I put it on, it stank. I probably should return it. I love Eternity. I have a mini spray but would like the full bottle some day. Love your channel!!
I want to buy Jontue perfume. I have Intimate by Jean Phillipe, which I believe was first by Revlon. Intimate is one of the best floral scents I have come across, and is very affordable. If I spray too much of it, then it will smell very vintage. But when I spray a little, I get complements. Intimate is such a lovely fragrance for the mature woman. It smells expensive, and lasts for hours.
It occurred to me...do perfumes HAVE to meet IFRA regulations by law? Or is it voluntary? Could a fragrance house decide "I'm not going to go along with that",and just do their own thing? And the product would still be sold, maybe with some kind of warning: does not meet IFRA standards, contains possible allergens, etc??
Loooove Gloria Vanderbilt! Refined, vintage-y, sweet and golden.
Lovely. Jontue is underrated!
I’m so glad to hear someone mention Jontue!! I began wearing it when it was released in the 70’s and its such a hidden gem!

Eternity is one that i love ❤ And has made in 1988 (my year 😊)
You've convinced me, over a couple videos, that I should at least try Jontue...
I love Jontue and Oscar.
Another good older fragrance and good performer is Gloria Vanderbilt with the swan on it Spivey and yummy
Great video!!!😍😍😍OMG, you just made me realize I used to have Gloria Vanderbilt perfume - I completely forgot about that until I saw that bottle!!! I used to wear Eternity back in the day too. Cool selection!!
I haven't smelt Oscar in years. My older sister had a bottle back in the late 80s. I believe she still has it.

I love your channel. Ruth Anne! Always a pleasure to watch.
Thank you for mentioning Jontue! Was my first perfume in the 80' and I still LOVE it.

I've been contemplating buying Oscar by Oscar de la renta, its really affordable. Now that I have heard your review and Shana J's... I'll give it try.

I don't find Oxygene to be spicy at all but it's quite bland tbh
@@ruthannemackinnon588 Oh, I'll pass on it then. It's not like I don't have enough fragrances already!

There is an ingredient that smells like a plastic baby doll.

Merci!
That Eternity is still very beautiful and it’s one of the perfumes that has not been reformulated at least I don’t think it has.
Nice lot. ❤️
Hi There, thanks for the video, does anyone know if Vintage Jontue is much different to modern Jontue ? Thanks so much !
I have worn it for years and the bottles I buy now smell the same as they always have. HTH.
Oh oh should of waited. Your reviewing it right now oops. Yes I wore it a whole lot
Are you a runner? I believe so. Right? Which scents do you recommend for sporty ladies - smart casual/preppy dress style?
In cool weather I tend to wear heavy classic scents like Jicky. In heat I tend to wear perfume oils as they perform well on hot sweaty skin.
Wanted to tell you, I just went for a run wearing Olympea by Paco Rabanne & it was GLORIOUS
Hello Ruth, Jontue smells vintage? Thanks. México 😘
That would depend on each person's opinion of what smells vintage. I don't think it smells vintage
@@ruthannemackinnon588 Gracias. Thanks.🤗

Pure Honey smalls terrible to me.
