    Sis, I stumbled on oil washing some months back and trust me when I say that it has changed everything for me. I literally do not put any butters in my hair after I have washed conditioned and oil washed my hair. It's been such a saviour.

    My Mom use to wash our hair with mineral oil when it was extremely cold outside, or when we had a bad cold. She would comb our hair out, warm the oil and comb it through. The dirt would come out then she would use an old towel to remove the excess oil!! It worked beautifully too. This is an old remedy, there us nothing new under the sun but it has just been experienced by a new generation!!!!!

    I’ve been oil washing for YEARS. Guys: water doesn’t break down oil. Oil breaks down oil. Yes, I know sulphates break down oil but shampoo is a SALT. I use oil to shampoo my hair. Once the build up is handled, I use a very small amount of shampoo to pull out the dirt/oil and dead skin cells. My goal is to get out dirt and smell. All else is a win 🎉

      @@adwoamk8918 you clearly have not heard about oil cleansing. Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the standard favorite among people for it, but some prefer other oils for oil cleansing, depends on what kind of skin you have. Especially white people are a big fan of EVOO to cleanse their skin. Look it up. A version of oil cleansing was even used in ancient Rome with special scrapers.

    I have been holding a nopoo challenge on Facebook, this one of th method I highly recommend during this period of time. You can even add scalp scrub. The method and choice of ingredients has been helping our members. Some even discovered the potential of their hair for the first time. You do not need much to cleanse your hair I would add coconut or babassu oíl with the olive oil as they have cleansing properties which pair well with olive oil saponins.
    To avoid rinsing your hair that many time you only need to rinse once and apply your DC. That is it. This way you avoid the craziness. As you go you will see all the steps you add were not necessary.
    Oil wash with cup of oil, rinse, add DC, let 20 min, you can apply some warm oil again before rinsing your DC smooth in, detangle rinse.

      @sofbubble 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Then it s an oil rinse and not an oil wash. The oil wash is to avoid surfactants. Oil can cleanse as effectively. You can remove waterproof make up with oil. If you oil as the lauric acids and saponins they can be good substitutes.

    Jesus loves you. He died on the cross for your sins. Come to Him all who are laden and heavy burden and he will give you rest. Come boldly unto the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy. All of us sin and fall short if the glory of God. If you have lied, looked lustfully on someone, hated someone, stolen from some one, cheated on someone then you have sinned. To God if someone has broken one law they are just as guilty as one who broke all of them and this is why Jesus died so that you could redeemed from the curse of the law. Come to the Lord. He loves you. He cares for you and nothing you do will ever separate you from His love. God will never stop loving you. Come to the Lord before it is too late. He loved you. He cares for you.
    If you confess your sins God is faithful and just for forgive you your sins and cleanse you of all unrighteousness.

I am convinced that oil is only suppose to be used this way cause when I leave it in my hair, days later I have dandruff. I never got dandruff until I left oil in my hair.

    • @Call-me-Al
      @Call-me-Al 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to use an anti-dandruff shampoo (medicated) as if the oil caused your dandruff then it's likely caused by a fungus or similar, and not from just having too dry skin and the like.

      Fun fact sebum protects the hair it’s should not be cleared away but moved down the strand to keep your hair growing and healthy. I use mine with nothing but water and water legit makes me hair soft and easy to detangle y’all drying y’all hair out by washing all the sebum away

      @mariitania9278 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@siesies000 you should never completely wash out sebum unless you have product buildup or low porosity hair that is prone to build up but most times yes once a month you can start the process over. But I just had to point out olive oil does thin the sebum but it does not help it leave the hair it helps it move down the strand to protect the hair and prevent that white cast most think is “dirty hair” when it’s actually sebum build up that need to be moved down the strand. And warm water does the same thing the oil does the shine and proper porosity comes from your hair having its natural oils stripping your hair literally just cause you more nots on the strand and spilt ends. Which is why y’all have to do so much to y’all hair to keep it moisturized you should not have to use all the products naturals use i legit grow my hair with water and oil and wash it maybe every 2/3 months and all I need to detangle is water my hair produces it sebum and I never have to cut split ends I cut my hair once a year and that’s just a dust so this whole thing of y’all not knowing how the body, scalp and hair works and spreading false news kinda bothers me. My hair is down my back with zero effort or day long wash days wash and go’s I don’t have to use so much gel because my sebum does most of the work some days I just scrunch moose and go. subunit is vital to hair growth and protecting your strands as well as clumping curls y’all buying products to do what your body makes it own oils to do.

      Water + glycerin + an oil of your choice, in a spray bottle and shake. If you’re afraid of your hair it needs moisture. Water and glycerin. You may not even need the oil but it’s a nice bonus.
