I used to straighten my hair wet all the time in high school. I didn't know it was bad, AND I have curly hair. I'm 28 now, and my curl pattern has finally come back. So I think it's relatively repaired. Now, I'm trying to learn how to care for it properly. I won't lie, though. I've had to be talked down from a chemical straighten a couple of times.

Chris pleaseee I am begging for a video of how to maintain wavy/curly hair 🙏🏼 I am currently doing your trinity method and it's been great but the Florida weather has been kicking my butt with frizz/poofy. Also if it's necessary for us to have styling brushes. I have a ton of styling brushes that I am not sure I wasted my money on.
I use the 2nd method to make my beachy waves and it works great. Just make sure to use heat protection and make sure hair is 90% dry. It never makes my hair knotted, just be gentle 😊
The second hack actually works for me and I do it all the time :) after my hair is dry (from the Revlon blow bruch thingy) I twist it like she did and then leave it till it's cooled down and bada bing bada boom I got those nice waves 💁🏼♀
Chris - help us out with another video please 🙏. Looking for beginner tips on how to: 1. Section waist-length fine hair appropriately to use a blow out brush for maximal volume and smoothing. 2. Adequately style my roots without ripping out my hair with the blow out brush. 3. Use the right amount of tension for my hair with the blow out brush. How do you know how much is enough but not TOO MUCH?
Hi! Can you please make a video about your shampoo and conditioner you made? Like where you explain how it compares to the other brands you recommend and what hair types it’s for? Thank you!
As someone who made the mistake of trying to flat iron wet hair exactly once, you don't have to worry about damaging your hair with the heat... It is the unbelievable amount of steam suddenly blasting your face/neck/ears/hands that is the more concerning issue. Unless you literally have no feeling in your body or are unbelievably stubborn you will only do it for a second or two before it starts getting too painful. Now I have flat ironed my hair at a very low temperature while it was still slightly damp and that actually was about the only way I could get my hair straight and barely steamed or made any noise at all. If I did it at any temperature while dry it would go wavy again as soon as my hair started moving. I stopped straight ironing a long time ago because it just wasn't worth the extensive time and effort for extremely limited results or even no results at all.
Can you please do a video about how to care for curly or even wavy hair I love your videos but I don’t see anything about other types of hair than straight ☺️☺️
As a teenager I got this straightening iron that was supposed to be used on wet hair. It was really wide and had holes throughout it for the steam. I used it sometimes when my hair was wet and it did make that awful frying sound. I used it for 10 years+ because it was the only straightening iron we could afford. I only stopped using it when I decided to stop straightening my hair. I still have it lying around somewhere. But I always remember thinking when I heard that awful frying sound that I definitely had to be damaging my hair in some way. But alas, the need to be a scene kid in 2010 outweighed any worries I should have had. Definitely learned the hard way. 😭
The second hack with the round blow brush works. I do it when I don't have time to curl my hair, and it doesn't tangle my hair. I have longer hair, so I do four sections of hair instead of two and always twist the crush away from my face. It gives you super cute beach waves mixed with Utah curls.
I have coily curly hair and i do something similar to the girl in rhe second video when my hairs blow dried. It's the only way to retain my blowout. It works because of the tension for smaller curls do six parts and bigger curls one big curl on either side. Idk. Works for me. I just go over the roots to refresh them and moisturize mid to ends
Hi! New to your channel but absolutely loving your videos - I have learned SO MUCH about caring for my fine/long hair. That said, any chance you could do some videos about caring for children's hair? I want to set my daughter (age 6) up with a foundation for good hair care which is something I was missing growing up. If she has the same hair type as me, do the same basic hair guidelines apply? Can she use the same products (not heat styling but same shampoo/conditioners/leave in/ oil)? Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated!
Hey! Porosity is a myth. It will keep you chasing your tail without results. If you have damaged hair (high porosity) then just use a repair product like redkens intensive treatment. It will repair your hair and make it "low priority." Don't get tricked into buying all new products 👍
@@BlowoutProfessor oh wow that’s good to know. I have low!!!!!!! Thanks for all your magnificent advice. I have dry curly hair. I’ve gained length with your advice.
Totally had friends in high school who did this. 100% companies even made specific flat irons that were meant for it to be used on wet hair. Not a good idea....
I love your shampoo and conditioner. People might say they are expensive, but they are not in the long run if one follows your advice on how to shampoo and condition your hair and clean your brushes. I clean all of mine every time I shampoo using Dawn Power Wash. One should be able to go without shampooing every seven to ten days (I can go ten days). Fewer days of shampooing and conditioning allow the product to last longer, making it very affordable to buy your products.
I miss having no worried with my hair when i was in my teens -20s. Soooo took it for granted, now i have to take extra care, thankfully i found your guys channel !! or it becomes a oily, dry, knotted mess 😅
I'm kind of surprised that he's never heard of anyone straightening wet hair since, in my mind, straighteners made for wet hair were infamous for people who were in school a couple of decades or so ago. I still own my Remington Wet2Straight straightener I bought in 2007 and still use it to straighten my hair the once or twice a year I might decide to do so (at my own hair's risk, I can't say I recommend it) It really does hiss like that but has holes in the plate to vent all of the steam which would absolutely burn if you got too close to the scalp or had your hand/ear/whatever too close to the vents.
Chris, After viewing your videos I purchased the products you recommended in January 2023. Within 6 weeks there was an amazing difference. My thick baby fine hair is gorgeous and I keep it platinum. My identical twin sister has natural platinum hair. I did also until I was 10, my became darker. Amazingly the Redken shampoo lasted 6 months. I was purchasing Pantene monthly. I just purchased a tube of Big Blow Out . The first tube was purchased 14 months ago. Love the Pureology leave in conditioner. I stopped using hairspray well over a year ago . I recently saw a new hair dryer that has red light also. I wondered what you would think of this tool. I would never try anything different on my hair without consulting your videos . I use red light for my body and love the results. If you happen to read this comment I would like you thoughts about the hair dryer. Love you and Leslie. ❤😊
Use to flatiron my hair dry all the time. Though I would quickly brush each section after ironing to keep it from holding the heat in too long. Doubt it made any difference. But it would be very silky for many days. Didn't damage at all. Same as scorching hot water that doesn't do anything.
Chris, I’ve learned so much from your videos! I’ve recently started swimming for exercise and need advice on keeping my hair healthy. I watched your summer haircare video and I got a swim cap to help and wet it first and add a leave in conditioner, but do I need to use a clarifying shampoo too like some people say?
im not sure if the girl in the video did cut it and use a curling iron but i do the trick with twirling the hair in the revlon all the time and truly you do get beautiful waves in like a minute you do have to do your bangs seperate though i promise it works and doesnt tangle just looks it
It looked to me like she did cut it and probably slept with her hair in a braid or something like that. Her end result did not look like something you'd get from twisting your hair.
Just use glitter spray or glitter hairspray. All that glitter you added to the shampoo will get rinsed off. And the few bits that manage to stick on after conditioning, rinsing again, towel drying, and then blow-drying look like nits from a distance.
PRP is the best well spent money for your hair. I had it and also had mesotherapy. There's nothing better to promote hair growth when you suffer with temporary hair loss ( your hair will be growing like crazy after 5 -6 treatments)
The plasma one did nothing. If you look closely she had some white hairs around her temples and in the after shot she had dyed them. Chris- i swapped from a leave in conditioner that wasn't too bad to the Colorofanatic you suggested and at 47 I finally have shiny hair again! All of your product recommendations have been great for my hair. But I'm almost out of the discontinued Pulp Riot Boston shampoo. What should we switch to?
Just a note about dawn dish soap. My old school hairdresser told me to wash with dawn once a month to strip my hair of all the chemicals I use like hairspray, foams gels etc. And darn it if she wasn't right. What I noticed most was how these chemicals can weigh on your hair and darken it. I am a brunet but after washing with Dawn my hair lightened significantly. I was shocked with the result. also it's way cheaper than stripping shampoo. I absolutely love this process and yes if its good for the ducks then its good for me.
Love your channel! Is glossing worth it? or good? can you do a video about that? I'd really would love "mirror" hair but don't want to waste my time, money and energy if they're just a hype. Many thanks

If you've never seen a doctor use a marker before, you are lucky. Those are for surgical markings so they know exactly what goes where, where to cut, where to relocate, and to make sure they don't amputate the wrong limb. I have had several surgeries, my breast reduction was the most marked up I've ever been! So, they will do this. They'll do it the day before and it won't wash off. But don't worry about it sticking around, the iodine or whatever surgical disinfectant they use will turn you orange and keep you orange for a month. I swear, when I had my gallbladder removed, they made marks because they go in through the belly button, but my ENTIRE torso was orange forever. I remember my mom cracking up when she noticed it when they gave me a shot in the rear.

My hair was always great using just pantene or herbal essences. This year, I,ve lost 1/3 of my hair, and the dermatologist/ trichologist simply couldn't find why. Some low vitamins on my blood serum, but not that low... I've been using corticosteroids in my dry scalp, medical shampoo, minoxidil, biotin, vitamins d, c, b12. It is exhausting! I hope this stops and never happens again
@BlowoutProfessor Hi, Chris! I think you are brilliant! I love your channel, and follow many of your tips. No, nothing different happened, and that was why the Dr did not define a cause but characterized it as effluvium telogen. It is awful! I wish no one had to go through this! Seeing 100+ strands of hair falling after every wash is terrible, and it was worse at the beginning!
I get PRP but it isn't meant for hair growth. What it does is makes your current hair shaft come out thicker so it makes your head looks fuller, but it takes about 6 months to see results. For hair growth you get minoxidil. And to stop the recession you get finasteride or dutasteride.
It is true. I have straightened my wet hair before. Crackly sounds but nothing bad happened to my hair, stayed healthy. That being said I have ALOT & it’s very thick, so maybe that’s why.

Weren’t you supposed to be growing out your locks? Excited to see those long locks and a man bun maybe? Would work for FL for sure…!
Chris - help us out with another video please 🙏. Looking for beginner tips on how to:
Thank you!
I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on Justin Hickox’s video on ways to ruin your hair.
11:17 NO IT DOESNT SARA
Can you please do a video about how to care for curly or even wavy hair I love your videos but I don’t see anything about other types of hair than straight ☺️☺️
I would recommend Swavy Curly Courtney if you're looking for wavy hair content.
On the one she gets injected with the plasma to make her hair grow, I was getting soooo many tingles
Do more of these please!
I do that revlon hair hack from the second clip pretty often it works !
Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated!
these video's are so much fun to watch! relaxing after a long day.
I’ve used Pantene and there’s nothing wrong with it it’s also amazing for my hair type but putting glitter in it is a bad idea
Can you talk about hair porosity?! If you’ve made a video I can look. I recently discovered my low porosity problems.
@BlowoutProfessor does castor can help for high prosperity hair? My hair is quite dry which makes them frizzy
10:48 literally looks like my hair when its brushed out dry 😭😭 (i have curly hair, so it makes sensee)
Vi pfp spotted
Hi what red light brand please and thank you
2:02 I just drench my hair in water then put it in a clip and blow dry it while its in the clip. Take the clip out and boom mother f- curls
tessa peay has always rubbed me the wrong way and i would always get told i was "just jealous of her"
Use to flatiron my hair dry all the time. Though I would quickly brush each section after ironing to keep it from holding the heat in too long. Doubt it made any difference. But it would be very silky for many days. Didn't damage at all. Same as scorching hot water that doesn't do anything.
I cannot stand snobs who “look down” on Pantene😂😂
I only look down on brands that test on animals. Nor supporting cruelty.
@@donnahollywood8007 now THAT I can agree with.
Chris when is your hair gonna be long??!
Well I guess that was a TH-cam lie 🚫😂
When he actually starts to grow it out. 😂
lol my grandma used to have a curling iron that steamed hair as it went. Used it on damp hair all the time.
11:18 I’ve been stalking ur profile is crazy😂😂
im not sure if the girl in the video did cut it and use a curling iron but i do the trick with twirling the hair in the revlon all the time and truly you do get beautiful waves in like a minute you do have to do your bangs seperate though i promise it works and doesnt tangle just looks it
It looked to me like she did cut it and probably slept with her hair in a braid or something like that.
What is a good hair routine for young kid (5yr) with medium hair? Same as adults?
PRP is the best well spent money for your hair. I had it and also had mesotherapy. There's nothing better to promote hair growth when you suffer with temporary hair loss ( your hair will be growing like crazy after 5 -6 treatments)
With you. It's one of the only things I'm comfortable recommending 👍
The woman’s hair looked the same in both photos. Where’s the update?
The plasma one did nothing. If you look closely she had some white hairs around her temples and in the after shot she had dyed them. Chris- i swapped from a leave in conditioner that wasn't too bad to the Colorofanatic you suggested and at 47 I finally have shiny hair again! All of your product recommendations have been great for my hair. But I'm almost out of the discontinued Pulp Riot Boston shampoo. What should we switch to?
Chris recommends Living Proof Perfect Hair Day now. I really like it, but I hate the smell :)
I absolutely love this process and yes if its good for the ducks then its good for me.
no need to hate on pantene.. but definitely hate on the glitter slime hair 😂
He just hates it bc its affordable but it does its job
hahahaha " no it doesn't Sarah!" haha
Love your channel! Is glossing worth it? or good? can you do a video about that? I'd really would love "mirror" hair but don't want to waste my time, money and energy if they're just a hype. Many thanks
Oh my gosh I'm dying!!!! You're "she lives in heaven" comment with glitter girl....thats the Y on the mountain right by my house that's for BYU (Brigham Young University) in Provo!!!
I tried using straighteners/flat iron on wet hair and didn't do anything including dry my hair just made it super hot
I love combs on 3b+ hair compared to the ones with alot of bristles.
Do y'all remember the wet to straight flat iron from the early 00s. Lol. U would literally steam iron ur hair. I can still remember the smell and sizzle
I just had a Brazilian blowout. I am living the fantasy.
I actually used to straighten my FINE wavy hair from wet to dry every other day with a Chi straightener. Had no issues.
My curls fall out after 5 minutes of just looking at it. Super straight hair
My hair fell right down and I use Pantene then the rest all professional but I just bought almost everything you recommended so I’m trying to repent and reform 😂❤😂
🖊️Sharpie in a medical setting - breast cancer treatments- they draw all over you for 9 months like you are their personal coloring book.
❓Do you have any advice for girls trying to grow our hair back after chemotherapy?
❤Thanks in advance.
Tessa peay has the most perfect hair and has amazing hair care tips
Whats a good shampoo and conditioner brand
My hair was always great using just pantene or herbal essences. This year, I,ve lost 1/3 of my hair, and the dermatologist/ trichologist simply couldn't find why. Some low vitamins on my blood serum, but not that low... I've been using corticosteroids in my dry scalp, medical shampoo, minoxidil, biotin, vitamins d, c, b12. It is exhausting! I hope this stops and never happens again
Any major trauma? Surgery, COVID car accident type stuff can temporarily cause this. Hope it resolves quickly 🙏
@BlowoutProfessor Hi, Chris! I think you are brilliant! I love your channel, and follow many of your tips. No, nothing different happened, and that was why the Dr did not define a cause but characterized it as effluvium telogen. It is awful! I wish no one had to go through this! Seeing 100+ strands of hair falling after every wash is terrible, and it was worse at the beginning!
you should do testing with dippity do famous curl product
I get PRP but it isn't meant for hair growth. What it does is makes your current hair shaft come out thicker so it makes your head looks fuller, but it takes about 6 months to see results. For hair growth you get minoxidil. And to stop the recession you get finasteride or dutasteride.
6:50 ish, am i the only one that literally never gets oily hair? 😭 i wash my hair once a week
same, I wash it once a week and sometimes even once every 2 weeks and it just doesn't get greasy.
YALL LUCKYYY
@@GayLesbianAutisticSmithsFan Me too.
I have really thick hair so it doesn’t get oily but it gets like frizzy
That glitter looked like a dandruff 🤦
That first girl with the glitter shampoo, Tessa. I follow her but I'm curious what you think of her hair care routine?
It is true. I have straightened my wet hair before. Crackly sounds but nothing bad happened to my hair, stayed healthy. That being said I have ALOT & it’s very thick, so maybe that’s why.
The glitter pieces will probably cut the hair strands and contribute to breakage
On my wedding day, I was told I could comb through my curls one time right before the ceremony. Curls to waves
just make sure all the curls are going the same direction!
@@OoMASEoO Well, it was an outdoor wedding and we’d had light rain all morning. The sun came in and out an hour before the ceremony, but it was windy. We still got great pics!
Dish soap is being used to clean to clean unrefined OIL NOT SEBUM from hair-huge difference

Can someone please tell me why Chris dont like pentene?? I use it😅 since ive watched all your videos my hair has been amazing can't thank you enough ❤
He claims it doesn't get your scalp or hair clean. If it works for you just keep on using. I don't think you need some super expensive shampoo.
she had numbing for her PRP. My place didn't use numbing, so I had to just suck it up. I found out I have a high pain tolerance so at least there's that
was the person that go the hair regrowth done told to stop the high pony's? that's what caused that kinda hair loss...
