    This is the auger that I am currently using. It has a special heavy-duty tip that breaks up our heavy clay soil. powerplanter.com/drills-and-augers/heavy-duty-augers/828-two-gallon-earth-auger/ref/13

    Jenny and Jerry, your gardens have come so far in the past year. I remember last year when you were racing to get things done for the big party. Well, you got that done and then exploded into action this year! Everything is looking wonderful and your vision is spectacular. I love it all so much. You two are amazing.❤️

    I have 2-14 month old boxers. Last year I had to break out fencing and protect my plants. Still keeping with the protection this year. They managed to push over one off my cages and started to dig up a butterfly bushes...Bad girls. 😂 Last year they also loved plucking tomatoes and green peppers for snacks. Good luck with your baby!!!

    Looks awesome Jenny! Haha Anti-Puppy Supports - I wish they had those for chipmunks. If anyone has any suggestions on how to deter them from eating and digging up my plants, please share! I planted Senorita Rosalita cleomes from PW last year - they were amazing. I laughed when you were planting because I imagine that's what we all do - take the plant out of the pot, whip the pot away somewhere, pick it up later.

    Jenny, you made me nervous digging holes with that long auger. That is the area that had a leak last season. 🤭
    Another Jenny growing in zone 7b (Baltimore - Harmony Hills) said that's about the best zone to grow in. While you do have plants I can only appreciate from your videos (camellias, tea olives, gardenias, chamaciprious?) I would be most unhappy to pull up my tulips each year.
    Nicole from Flower Hill Farm also yanks out her tulips each year despite growing in my same zone 4b because they are unreliable. And a flower farmer has to grow reliable blooms.
    I look forward to the display of color. That Generous Gardener certainly lives up to its name. Oh my!

    having the names in the landscape is great for the customers. I was once walking through a garden centre and saw a plant that took my breath away and actually walked back to inspect it then walked to where they were kept on the shelves and it is still one of my favourite for shade and i have many more varieties. (it was epimedium rubra by the way.)

    Jenny, Your garden is beautiful and inspires me! We have a new home on 3 acres of land that is pretty much a blank slate. My husband and I would like to plant several screening shrubs and have plenty of room to have 2 large flower beds. I noticed you don't have any landscape fabric in your flower beds, just mulch. My question is how do you control weeds in your beds? Do you use Preen in your beds or will a thick layer of mulch work? We have clay soil as well. Both my husband and I are in our in our 60's and are trying work smart, not harder. 😉 Thank you!

    • @GardeningwithCreekside
      @GardeningwithCreekside  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2
