Remedy is one of those companies I feel has always put a lot of heart into their games, but just keeps getting the short end of the stick when it comes to the recognition they deserve. Everybody knows Bullet-time, but nobody remembers the company that made Max Payne 1 and 2.

Doesn't it though? Metroidvanias are awesome, so I'll definitely be picking this up. The amount of polish when the release date isn't even specified yet is ridiculous.
The thing I liked most about this game was that it offered ridiculous, supernatural powers but with short limits that left you vulnerable when they ran out. It felt like dreams I've had since childhood in which I could fly away from enemies but suddenly fall to the ground again. The combo of power and vulnerability makes for very tense and unique gameplay.

Also its more cosmic horror than normal horror but there have definitely been some moments that freaked me out. Even the spooky janitor from the beginning is pretty unsettling, but there is also the mirror, the mannequins, the weird shit in the ocean view motel, and boatloads of just general OH FUCK and WHAT THE FUCK moments
4:28 That cracked me up because in the game, the bureau in fact states, through cheery workplace posters, that time lost to building shifts do not count towards overtime.

Not SCP specifically but same lovecraftian genre. Its basically an extra dimensional entity outbreak in an extra dimensional facility designed to contain and control such entities that infects the other weird entities and fucks a bunch of shit up.
I just started this game and in two play sessions I’ve managed to get all the way to the Polaris mission. I’m lovin this game because it’s exactly what I was expecting. When I unlocked the levitate ability I went back and fought the fridge monster. Then the more you learn in the game the less you understand yet you understand what’s going on in the game somehow. Then one of the funny things about your abilities is that like Emily pope says trench once used the floppy disc to launch a bowling ball 6 meters which means Jessie’s telekinetic powers are strong af because she can levitate and even launch forklifts or even people at other people lmao
This is one of the standouts of E3 for me. A complete surprise, and I'm looking forward to it. I hope they have more powers than what they demoed here.
Looks like a mix from the science fiktion from Quantum Break and the fantasy Part from Alan Wake. I hope they plant easter eggs like in Quantum Break to proof that it plays in the same universe. ( It was Books with the signature from Alan Wake if you dont know)
I hope they borrow heavily from the SCP stuff, just because the're a massive wealth of good ideas that they could use. It would be a bit crappy not to credit the place they get the ideas from, but if this does well we might see more of that stuff, and that's a price i'm willing to pay.
Can I take a moment to say how much I HATE the Hiss Distorted? It's invisible and when you are lost in the heat of the combat, it appears out of nowhere and gives you a jump-scare. This thing made me paranoid in every fight!
So this is more or less a super polished "SCP - Containment Breach" game. I'm pretty excited about that! I do hope there's a nod to SCP and/or it's creators though.
Fringe + Warehouse 13 + weird interdimensional stuff + shadowy organisation + weird eerie shifting building + occult type business + awesome powers like in Quantum break + sentient gun + it's made by Remedy so the story and dialogue will be pretty dope = I AM IN.
sometimes this game is creepy af and spoopy as fuck and other times you're chasing a rubber duck or falling through the floor after a merry go round's horse.
It's basically SCP The Game based on this video. Considering that SCP is CC Attribute Share-alike there's no problem even with proprietary commercial use as long as they have some sort of acknowledgement.
Okay, I'm liking this. Games with horror have gotten kinda predictable and hokey- oh, it's a biological experiment, oh, it's psychic powers but they work just like generic fantasy magic, oh it's something generic and unknowable that jump scares you. But now with games like Re7, The Evil Within, and Death Stranding, and now this game, we actually get some real that is not at odds with the combat therein. GAmes where the horror isn't that there are monsters and you must shoot them, but horrors where shooting things is the only easy part of your day, and you're never actually safe from the forces at work. Games where there does seem to be magic or weird happenings, but they follow their own logic, not stock ones, and circumstances always put you at your most vulnerable. A game where the main character can casually fly also suggests that in the game's design getting from A to B will also be much more complicated since most basic obstacles are traversable. Instead what if going into some wings of the Bureau will require puzzles of logic combined with the Metroidvania powers. Like, a weird kaleidoscope wall, but by using telekinesis and placing an object in the right place, and then looking at it from the right angle, it becomes an obvious path. I think these games are true remakes of Silent Hill, where the horror comes not from the setting, but from the way that we aren't entirely sure what the rules are and how reality itself is a threat. I kinda expect the plot to be that the oldest house may not actually be a real place, and more of a state of mind, though maybe it could be like one of the treatments of SCP 001, where the nebulous SCP foundation is actually and literally nebulous, explaining why they seem to have limitless resources and storage space, because they're just a big anomalous object themselves.
The gameplay kind of reminds me of Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. Of course in that game if you wanted to fly around you had to levitate something you were standing on and the controls to do so were... less than great.
I like how I bought the game expecting it to be something like Quantum Break or some happy superpower shooter, but it turned out to be something better, a traumatising psychological disaster!
Fool's Requiem I don't think that's the reason why it ended up Having performance issues. If that were the case, then Gears4,forza, etc. would have similar issues. But those games performed phenomenally both on x1 and pc

Sorry boss I went to the restroom but when I walked out I was in a motel in Nevada had to do a puzzle to get the door key back to the oldest house.
Missed this one somehow at the E3 but this looks amazing and I can't wait till we see more of this game
