Nice looking hay, when its all green like that,is the best time to cut it. And thats the part of doing agriculture, putting up quality feed for animals is more important then hanging out with friends, unless they help you. But have you folks tried raiding the shoot out back of the discbine, so the rows are raider? Cuz either way nine times out of ten you end up raking it inerways. Inerways nice looking landscape ❤.
Delivered some hay today and the house wife ask if it was first or second cutting. I said definitely the first cut. Last time it was cut was like 15 years ago. Of course she really didn't know what she was buying. It was blue stem hay in the pasture that cows graze on year after year. Cows are so fat they basically eat and spend most of their time in the shade of the trees. They do not over graze these fields and because of the drought was allowed to be cut for hay and sold so people could have hay.I use one of those cutters to but it is broken and we have parts to fix it in a couple days.
That's fantastic!!! Get her out there! I love making hay and seeing other women in the ag industry! One of the many reasons I started this channel was so others can learn and be inspired to get out there.
