I have not had your experince with my K2. I also do not have any trouble printing 95A TPU. I've printed probably 200 RC car bumpers in 95A TPU and 72D TPU. Around 1500 printing hours. Not a single misfeed/stuck. This is coming from a borderline Bambu fanboy. I've had equal challenges with my K2 as my Bambu X1C's. Slicer isn't great but that's a pretty easy workaround.
I appreciate your candidness. We need more honest reviewers sharing their *actual* experiences.

Creality printers don't stop until it has finished the current task, whether it be printing a layer or finishing a calibration. In your case it looks like the printer was in the middle of a PA calibration. It would have stopped after it finished the current pass. I do think Creality needs an emergency stop function. I haven't tried printing TPU yet. I know it can't be printed through the CFS. I used to print TPU all the time in my K1C, but I had to print an overhead support to directly feed the extruder. So far, my experience with the K1C has been flawless except for some color bleeding between white and dark colors; I'm still trying to finetune that.

Klipper is like that. It will not stop a print while doing its calibration. Until it is done it will stop. My sv08 will not stop until the Guad gantry leveling is finished for example. But i can tell it to stop and it will stop when its finished.

Had mine for 10 days and printing around 10 hours each day, only PLA and PETG, assorted brands. Had zero issues, and impressive print quality from the very first print to the one printing in front of me now. Most prints are nearly the full bed area and 50-100mm depth, the speed is great. Haven’t used slicer software for about 3-years before using V6, and it’s much better than what the version of Prusa I was using back then - haven’t had any issues with it. Thanks for your honest review comments - I’ll be watching for similar issues developing

Thank you for your realistic review/information. I absolutely agree why would someone buy a printer for that much and then have to root the machine and replace a majority of the critical parts just to get it to work well. I'm sorry for the problems you have experienced, but appreciate the knowledge you pass on. I have become a bambu fanboy because it is the first printer that I have not had to replace a bunch of stuff for it produce problem free excellent parts. My other printers I have basically almost rebuilt to get them to work, halfway decent. I have printed almost industrially with my poor P1S and it is a tank, its like OK clean me and give me more! I feel comfortable (probably too much!) remote starting a print, or starting a print across the network, and just expecting no issues and near perfect parts to come off. I was really considering buying the k2 combo due to the large build volume, but looking at the k1 issues i was not sure. After this video I will definitely now wait to see what bambu's answer is to large printers this Q1 2025. I'm done spending more time tinkering with the printer than printing with it, especially at this price point.

It doesn't seem to see spaghetti either so not sure how good the 'AI' camera is. However it's been pretty reliable and print quality is excellent. I have had exactly the same experience with my K2. 3-4 nozzle clogs (can't even get it to print abs), non-working RFID-readers, active chamber heating that does not get activated (software/firmware issue I think), slicer that make you sick (flickers on non-intel mac), nonworking filament runout detection and nonexisting filament tangle detection. All failures ending in failed prints without recovery. This in a few weeks of printing while my cheap bambulab A1 has been printing nonstop without issues for many month:s.

I have been looking at the K2 since I heard about it early last year. I do large cosplay printing, so a large build plate is a requirement for my printers. Otherwise, I'd look at Bambu. But their build plates are just too small. It'll be a while before I get a new printer, so hopefully these issues are worked out before I invest a new printer.

I bought K1max more than 2 months ago. After I received first printer it was so bad that I wanted to return it. But creality replaced it with one from newer batches. It prints good, but I wouldn't buy it as my first printer. Both first and second printers had vibration noise. They've sent me lots of parts and I had to change them. After that new problems surfaced and it seems that creality don't use their own printer because if I wasn't able to troubleshoot and fix myself the printer would be basically useless or with unpleasant noises(but printing well). After repairs I had problems with input shaping, and after I wrote 8 emails to them, they asked me If I use third party slicers to fix ringing issue :DD wtf is that sh*t. So i'm two months in and I hope to start using it soon :D At least I'm happy that I paid only 590 euro for it, received spare parts and two spools of hyper pla. So it basically cost me less than 500 euro.

After I fixed it everything is working as intended with creality 5.1 slicer. Also had to downgrade the firmware during fixing process and they do not recommend to update to latest if printer is working properly now, but the latest firmware has good fixes, so I will need to figure this out on my own as well.

@@coledavidson5630 I can't say for sure. But had to reset factory defaults every time I did something just to be sure it wasn't causing issues, reflash firmware few times and change the toolhead motherboard back and forth from old one to new one and other way around and after few tries it is seems to be fixed.
I did clean firmware update with reseting factory default from beggining, but yeah... It is what it is... Also my lidar extension cable is damaged from factory and even that could cause electrical noise and give incosistent readings for input shaping. (but creality said that they will send me a new cable). On latest firmware I had some kind of anomaly that paused for a second during calibration few times and at the end showed me error that it couldn't make calculations at all. But this was only visible in fluidd console.

I have several issues with mine. When I first got it, it would be only print the presliced files. Anything sliced with the Creality slicer 6 would cause XS2060. Now it's fine with both slicer 5 and 6. I then printed an ASA basket for my Pi Plus filament dryer. It was amazing. The second one I printed complained of a jam. I cleared the jam and tried to feed in new filament in but the extruder motor wasn't feeding. I tore everything apart and made sure every was connected. No change. Then after a few hours of being turned off, the extruder started working. About half way through an 11 hour print. The printer complained of another jam. I cleared it again and the extruder would not pull the filament in on either manually extruding or telling it to do a filament change. I turned the machine off and a few hours later it completed the same 11 hour print.

The reason why it might takes time to stop is usually the implementation of klipper in the firmware. Not stopping with estop is because klipper is stuck in a busy state in the firmware. I know klipper is sometimes slow to react on estop when it’s within a macro.( calibration as you seemed to be within in your video). But 1 min, that’s poor programming/ bug of the implementation of the calibration macro. K1 is also slow to react to stop under calibration.

I still cannot understand why they don't reuse the updated hardware from the K1C. Why use plastic gears in the extruder when they already have a proven metal gear system in production? Why is the K2's Unicorn nozzle different from the K1C's? Why do they keep re-engineering their hardware from generation to generation when they have a track record of teething problems and the new stuff is only slightly different from the old stuff?
As for the slow Pause/Stop response, the computers in their printers are really low spec. K1Cs are at 50% load when they're just sitting around and running the web interface.

The K2 Plus is a great printer. Some of his issues are misleading, like not being able to stop. It would have stopped right after the calibration. Version 6 of the Creality slicer is also great, but I think he uses a Mac and it's not out for Mac yet (no fault of his). I used to use Orca until the version 6 slicer released, which fixed a lot of the issues I used to have with Creality slicer. I've seen a number of users having issues because the printer was mishandled during shipping. I got mine from B&H and it was extremely well packed. The only reason I purchased the K2 was because I owned the K1C and I watched Creality push updates to that printer to make it the flawless printer that I consider it to be today, aside from bad network connectivity. I expect Creality to do the same with the K2 and improve upon an already great printer.

But yes, Firmware and Software is buggy as hell, not only buggy but lacks logic, digged through code. Dunno which dumbass made it but it looks similar to K1 firmware. And Orca works, you can send it to the printer by using the Creality Print protocol. But you have to start in Creality Cloud app, Creality Print or on the printer itself. You have to map the colors to the CFS because Orca has no CFS connection and doesn't know. Name the filament type same as in CFS or it won't offer anything in the mapping tab. Printing TPU also works, best is to remove the bowden tube and feed it through the top.

x1c has flimsy build quality compared to k2, no linear rails, no self leveling bed, no auto belt tensioning, no 6mm thick bed, no 10mm wide belts, no rails to stabilize the bed, AMS sucks, a piece of work when it fails. x1c is outdated, don't waste money. they must come out with something new soon or deserve to go broke.

@tek9058 agreed even though they announced a new printer is coming, they are way too late to even build up hype...

but it's mostly open source and fixable. it's just the software now, easy fix for community. k1 was trash because hardware sucked

Yeah i didn't know the gears were plastic. Man that's bs. So far I've been having better luck with my Kobra 3 with ACE . My Bed level on K2 is horrible, i have an upside down U shape that i can't fix.
