Finally someone that realistically compares the exact two sizes I want to know about. I have the medium and the bigger carryon and find it’s the perfect combo for 1 to 3 weeks of travel, saves my back and the scale! I’ve been thinking about the large but you’ve helped me stay where I am. Thanks.
Glad I could help! And re the 1 to 3 weeks... if you can pack for 3 weeks you're golden. Honestly IMO the hardest trips to pack for are trips less than 10 days. Anything over that is easy and you just need the medium and a carry on like you said :)

I didn't go with AWAY, but I did purchase a 21 inch carry-on and a 26 inch medium check-in. Plus, with my personal item that fits under the seat and my large purse, I think I'm covered! It really is smarter to go with a few smaller bags that you can handle physically and financially Lol!
I'm probably gonna to go for a large suitcase regardless of what I get. Mostly cause being around 6'0 (maybe + haven't measured in 2 years) my clothes just take up more space by itself. And I'd rather just get 1 and be done with it since the hand me down is on its last legs more or less.

The reason I decided to go with Away is I have heard and seen videos that say if the wheel breaks or it cracks they will repair it for free. They will send a box and you will get your item back in a week or two. There is lifetime warranty. That’s worth every penny.

Okay main question is, do you think I need the large suitcase for 11 days worth of travel during summer? I bought the large and I'm 5"3 so slightly worried haha, but also want to be able to invest on a suitcase I can use a lot, but can't help but think that the medium might be a better fit for future trips? Like I might go back to Asia for a longer period in the near future and don't really want to spend another £400 on the large if I do switch to the medium because I also feel that the medium won't be enough space for longer trips! Hope my question makes sense! Hahaha
Aww thanks for that! I try to make reviews on what I would want to know about. Review videos are secretly my favorite so more to come :) I would do the medium. I think the large is just too big, hard to carry, and way too easy to over pack. Now that I have the medium I rarely aka never use the large anymore. I've traveled out of my medium bag for a year now! I travel full time and all I carry is the medium bag plus my osprey carry on and a personal backpack. I do months in the medium so I have faith you can do 11 days or even months for when you go to Asia!

They do have the 100 day free trial so I contacted them and they told me to try it out on my trip and if it's too big I can return and exchange for the medium! For me, yes. What I would do is check the measurements of the Away medium and the away large and then use that as your rule of thumb when shopping other brands

Totally get that! Although the medium keeps me really close to 50lbs so I think if I got a slightly bigger bag I would risk going over 50lbs.
