For me it worked just for turning the port from PC to port on Monitor and vice versa,i found out that problem Was a bit damaged port on PC that cant work properly connected to PC

Yes!!! I did just that. Hey I have an old gnr pc monitor from my grandmother, trying it out for the time being I bought a vgi input that has the other end as a normal hdmi for a laptop but it keeps saying no signal and idk why, I only have one hdmi port in both the monitor and laptop and I can't seem to see what's wrong, another vid said changing the display/menu bit works but that just flashes no signal on and off for me
