What a great remix. I agree with your comments about "New Material" and "Fear" I sincerely hope someone at the influencial end of the Police foodchain acknowledges the time and effort which you have invested in creating these fantastic personal re-interpretations of not only this song, but the others. I subbed to your channel after hearing this. Wow! You made me think back to 1979, and then to 1984, the RIP Police Year. Clearly you are a Super-Fan. Here are my feelings in 1984 post "the announcement" All 3 Band Members - Guilty of saying that they had not split when they had, prolonging the agony for milllions of fans. (For me I was in my teens, and needed months to recover from their break-up and spent years praying for a reunion) STING - The oppressed one. The nerve centre of the Police. Arrogant and shy. Hates the spotlight, yet has to choose a band, record some crap, and release it suddenly. He must have said, "I have had enough of this." The reason: COPELAND - Whilst I love him, he caused the demise. The Final Straw? - "Sting's Ribs" Can you imagine our beloved Sting having to perform the August -Mar dates with the aforementioned broken Ribs ? (Can take up to 3 months to heal and singing and ribs kind of go together). I am sure Mr Sting would not be cursing everyday saying, "i am going to write a new Police Album" in between taking painkillers and other essential meds. The infamous Shea Stadium MTV clip was not staged. It was real and is on youtube. . ANDY - The same MTV clip show him make no effort to stop Stewart and Sting as clearly, this must have been a common occurance. I am sure that he was mortified at the outcome. He always seemed to me to be stuck in the middle, the poor guy. His face on the clip was as if to say "Oh god not again. Will you guys cut it out?!" Conclusion - If Stewart had not continuously bullied the frontman, we would still have the Police, and Andy would still have the " best guitarist job " on the planet.
Hi Rajibongo, thank you so much for sharing your opinion, nice! I can really go along with your analysis and summary of how the bugs invaded the police ranks, back in the days. The only thing is; we cannot change the past, but we may be able to influence the future! This year all three are performing in my country. And all three still cling to history, playing police songs. With all concerts only a short distance from each other. Just the thought that they could have rejoined, but didn't, hurts… Another chance passed, and time is running out! And I know there are more like me. So if you ask me: really time to stop circling around and focus on a last collaboration, within the remaining time. All three have a lot of ready-made solo material: quite good, but it lacks that last spark. i.m.ho. it would be quite interesting to throw these numbers into the Police blender and see what comes out. So all I'm trying to do with my remixes is try to fuel this last collaboration: embrace and reconcile with the common past and give the fans what they're really waiting for!
@@fyyc Duly noted. I would say that millions of fans, including me would love to see them back, while they still have it in them. I would say a residency in Las Vegas or similar location, so they can do the shows, and we do the travelling. Along with that , a studio album.I will join you in praying for the Re-Union. My comments were merely my sentiment as to why it is a hard ask. If the trio can just put everything personal aside and do the right thing, and the best thing. Record some stuff, don't overproduce it, and give it to us. They stand a chance of proving that millions of people sincerely adored them as a 3-piece with a raw dynamism and improvisation. God Bless them and the fans.
It's the single/45er-version on "Message in a box". The album-version was different. I think this version is a mash-up, but I'm not really sure. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.
The bassline, those drums and that killer riff, just simply magical.
This song, walking on the moon & bring on the night are the reggae classics on the historic 'Regatta de Blanc' album.
Hole in my life and so lonely in Outlandos and one world in ghosts...😉
