    Terminator type robots have been true for decades. Even here in Finland, Lapland near my village in Kemijärvi there is flying robots testing area. They are used to kill people in real life according to some source. Robots can be used for good also so the technological advancement is not all bad. Stereoscopic 3-D vision is very handy in ordinary home use and useful in cleaning robots etc.

    @zasabiibasaz Is that a bad thing? I mean almost all of our creations are based off of nature. The subject of nature is also popular in art and poetry. I mean were animals, we still have a strong connection to the natural world and we replicate it in technology to make our lives easier. Nothings new under the sun.

  • @Lucenian

    @freshxxkidxx "whats the point of it...what does it do"
    This can have a lot of helpful applications, just use your imagination. Crawling in and out of fallen buildings to find victims that would have otherwise been to hard to reach is a start.

    The potential for applications are almost limitless. Imagine using it to patrol underwater energy turbines and protect them from big fish or vessels. Or using them to scan incoming boats for bombs or other dangerous things. Or using them for underwater espionage.

  • @Minamiblues
    @Minamiblues 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @r3b3l1n Srsly? You can't think of any use for this? It's multi terrain, so any places too hostile for humans is open to it. To me it sounds like a self-monitoring search robot for earthquakes and maybe oil spills and nuclear war zones. If it's eventually shrunk enough, it can even investigate the human body through blood vessels.It can possibly be used for deep jungle explorations, prolonged monitoring of deep sea creatures, or as even as a mobile spy camera disguised as thin vine, I don't know

  • @Minamiblues
    @Minamiblues 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @OMFGWTFSTFULOL Sheesh. -_- There's better use for robots than just crude all-out war, why the hell does it need weapons? Most likely it's used for underwater research and navigating earthquake disaster areas, earthquakes being something I hear that Japan's often plagued with. If you're stuck under your desk under hundred tons of rubble and you hear a loud mechanical sound slithering near you, you'd be happier than you are now.

  • @MidGroundInertia
    @MidGroundInertia 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Razu406 it's not gonna work that well in space.
    the reason why it can swim is because it can push against the water molecules. in space there are no molecules to push against (this is why there isn't any sound) so the thing would be just squirming around in one place in the middle of a vacuum. It would need rocket thrusters to space worthy.

  • @peter4real
    @peter4real 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @HmooD1600 Because we can use it in military operations in Iraq? Because its a breakthrough in robot technology. I thinks its very important that we keep researching in this stuff. And I actually think that this robot will set its mark in history, unlike you because you dont know what stuff is important and whats not...

  • @Namari944
    @Namari944 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @potterhead0227 think of it this way, robots aren't affected by underwater pressure, so hook this baby up to a camera, and have a remote control so you can steer it, and you'll be able to film parts of the ocean that are all but unknown as humans cannot go that deep. scientific progress.

  • @Spanky2k
    @Spanky2k 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @PonytailGirI So having a robot that can snake through collapsed buildings to find survivors is a waste of time and resources? Someone like you probably said the same thing about the combustion engine, the microprocessor and the laser.

  • @MikuAbarai
    @MikuAbarai 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Girisgreencrazeiful It was the Japanese, and godzilla wasn't a robot. Mutation due to atomic radiation is how he got his powers. This has nothing to do with that.
