If you love OLOX check out '5 Facts About the Arctic Siberian Couple OLOX' here: talentrecap.com/meet-olox-the-arctic-siberian-couple-bring-their-unique-music-to-americas-got-talent/
This is soo risky but they believed their roots and represented their culture. Awesome. This show provides a stage to pure talent and that's what is the beauty of this show, irrespective of the country.
They represented their culture in the most beautiful way ever. The Arctic Siberians are very much overlooked, and now I’m interested into learning about them.
I cried, not even sure why other then it is the most beautiful thing I ever heard!! They are AMAZING!! Wish I could find where they next preformed, this seems to be the only one on that show...
That was insane, they're amazing, the way she made those animal calls. I'm in love with native cultures, it's sad so many have been destroyed and diminished so I can't experience them.
not only is she physically beautiful, but you can tell her soul holds nothing but love. how excited she was to be there and how proud she was to be carrying the music from her home.
Like the native americans before they were subjugated by the european americans they helped to survive in a foreign land. Now they spend their days on reservations for the most part which are a very small portion of the land they own.
Did anyone notice: all original native music is al the same, deep resonating male voices that give rhytm and soul and the high octaves of the woman that sings of the earth, wind, fire , water and animal noices! Beautifull, speak to our souls, mezmirising...we are after all connected and from one people. May these folk/ traditional songs never die pls.
This was by far, the most original presentation. It was a very spiritual display of their people, and when they began, I felt like I was thrusted into a secluded indigenous cultural existence! Bravo!
The fact that this amazing performance did not get a Golden Buzzer breaks my heart every time I watch it. :( I don't think a lot of people understand just how difficult this kind of singing is. Truly talented and truly unique. This is easily in my top 3 of all time best AGT performances. ❤
the beginning gave me chills they literally transported me to siberia the atmosphere they create with only a drum and two voices is crazy also her soft thank you and bow at 3:08 🥺😭
They're singing the songs of the earth. Of god. And they're absolutely fabulous singers! The way that they seamlessly blend modern and traditional music to make something spectacular. Thank you OLOX and congratulations!
When he made that first deep rumble my stomach vibrated with the sound. I would love to hear them say what this means to them personally and to their culture. I immediately thought of "Tibetan throat singing". It also had elements reminiscent of Native American song. The beat and the sound. I'd like to know more about this as well as hear more.
It's very "different" from what we westerners are used to but the more you listen to it the more you appreciate the skill it takes to make those sounds and vocalisations. I just find Siberian and Mongolian throat singing so fascinating.
It was so funny - today, I played songs from the Hu's The Gereg for my kids in the car, and when these guys came on, I was like "no way, are they???" and then the guy started in, and my kids were like "DADDY ITS THE SAME MUSIC YOU PLAYED IN THE CAR!" and they got so excited. Really well done!
Thing is...in " Hollywood", they are costumes..frivolous n often inconsequential...with these folks..they are( regalia ), worn out of respect and often carrying historical items from Elders, passed!
A bad ass version, great overtones, excellent traditional dress, and I know about these tribes in Siberia because they incorporate animal sounds and the jaw harp let alone hand made animal skinned drums. So many cool sounds and vibrations. The World Has Talent.
I’m disappointed that OLOX doesn’t have a professional recording of this cover. I can’t get enough 🤯☮️💟 also, they were definitely slept on by AGT. I guess the masses just aren’t ready for such incredible talent.
You know I keep coming back to this act because it's so good. As others have said, performing western music in a foreign style, especially that of traditional styles is extremely risky. From a psychology of music standpoint, other countries have their own tuning system. What they perceive is "in tune" may be "out of tune" or "off key" for us.
I’m Native to Americas (Objiwe, Anishnaabe, Algonquin) and the way my cousins across the pond are getting down!! Love it! Check out their new song “Web of Life”! Keep the Earth & humans sacred!
Wonderful to see, and interesting the similarities between the Siberian native tribe sound and the Native American sound, which supports the idea that Native Americans immigrated across many many centuries ago, created their own cultures but maintained part of their origins. That sound is so spiritual that it can do nothing more to connect you to your inner soul and the world around you. I used to study native American Culture and had many examples of their music. Although I would like this type of music to go mainstream, if it did it might take away some of the power and mystique which connects us to the world.
I am blown away. This is fantastic. I am feeling this so much! I just want to hear more of them. I love how people are finding ways to bring new life to their indigenous roots and sharing it with everyone. We've all given up so much of our own cultures for the modern world I think when we all run into people who keep their traditions alive we feel almost a... holiness there. I love this.
I love everything about there style of a classic song. My only wish is that I could hear it better. The audience was screaming to loud, they do it everytime someone is singing. Just sit there and listen.
This is where the ancient Native American orginated from - Siberia - then they crossed the Berring Strait land bridge thousands of years ago crossing over to the land that eventually came to be called North America.
I remember coming across this a couple of years ago. I was in the car with my siblings, dad, and uncle. And I stopped playing it in the car due to my dad saying she sounded like crap. I told him that he should keep his opinion to himself. Bc she sounded amazing and it makes me feel so down to earth.

Risky? How so? I'm not grasping your point
@@MeganAngel315 I remember Susan Aglukark , another beautiful lady who has a beautiful voice and still entertaining at 53 .
Throat singing itself is hard. For them to do that in front of so many people. Bringing their culture and mixing it. AMAZING!
They represented their culture in the most beautiful way ever. The Arctic Siberians are very much overlooked, and now I’m interested into learning about them.
Eli from Russia TH-cam channel visited Yakutia in some of her videos. She's a great vlogger. Visit when you have time.
Otyken is also a good TH-cam channel to check out. Storm is a interesting song of theirs.

That depends, do you have a second to talk about our lord and savior Jesus Christ?
This was by far my favorite audition, so original and also shares a bit of their culture, I keep repeating the video over and over again.
