I think the type of light makes a big difference as well. I’ve used glow in the dark pigment with epoxy coatings and it seemed like it needed to actually be UV light to charge it. But I totally agree that it’s pretty much a waste. By the time it gets dark enough to see it, the charge of the glow in the dark basically wears off.
Haha I get that you don’t like it but like I said I’ve done it will great results. Multiple coats of clear over white and it glows very nice. I’ll send a video over if you’d like
I know with glow in the dark paint it takes multiple layers to get good effects of the product, most take about 6 layers. With one layer you are not putting enough on, it just doesn't seem practical with powder coating. Would be interesting to see how multiple layers on a 5x5 test square would do.
Did you try hitting the wheel with a black light? I use blacklight flashlights to charge my kids glow in the dark stickers and who paintings. It charges them almost instantly.
If im honest, I recorded this video, and immediately stripped this wheel lol. I will have to try that on a future project though, I appreciate the idea!
Doesnt seem like material type plays a role. Base color is supposed to be white, but the end result of a white base with glowbee clear is a weird offwhiteish green color that isnt at all attractive
Now I'm curious as to what would happen if you bought your own high quality strontium aluminate powder and mixed it in with your own clear what would happen
So I understand why you don't like it... but I think if used in a smaller application like just trim on the wheel with thicker coats of glow may make it look better making it a useful application. Just my thoughts. I have no powder experience, so this just my artistic curiosity doing some trouble shooting. Thank you for doing this video though it's a lot of helpful information 🤘
Ok thanks and thanks for answer me , I like your videos a lot and only one things I like to powder coat small things and personal parts and I Lear with your videos but sometimes you don’t show the process just a little bit when you’re spraying
Seeing my sweet prince Bentley and the good girl Molly in this video made me so happy
They are the real stars
😱😱 looks super good! 10/10

It's worthless honestly
Have to go over white and I do two coats of glow bee and it glows great! Just has to have those two things
Not really. Unless you like weird off white yellowish powder. I've shot it over white. It's just not a good product for anything of any use

I wonder how the material type, base coat color, and thickness of the glow in the dark powder might effect how bright it is

@@UnknownCoatings I would like you to tell us how long between coats, do you cool them down to room temp or what temp?
A black light works better
but I cant drive around with a black light shining on my part
I think your title should reflect your disdain. I came here to find out why I did need glow in the dark and now I'm just disappointed.
I'm doing another glow in the dark video shortly lol
