    Ale reminds me of Alex Lifeson (I know he's a guitar player). But, like Alex, Ale is often the most overlooked member of the band. People always talk about Dany's vocals or Pau gleefully beating her drums like they owe her money; but, they seldom mention Ale. Ale is a top-tier bass player.

      I'd agree that Alex gets respect from people that really, really know, but I think if you asked folks on the street to name 5 or 10 top guitar players, his name probably wouldn't come up very often. It'd be all "Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Angus Young, Slash, Jimi Hendrix, Tony Iommi, Domenic Troiano (jk, his name would never come up)...

So agree on your camera statement, I don’t believe this generation will understand or listen, but then they don’t have the past to compare with the present. All good points. In most bands, the bass is a minor addition. Here, it is a driving force, as you indicated. Some of the unpredictable moves in this song are probably due to the subject - a girl is sinking into madness, having committed murder and had her evil side come out as a separate personality that is trying to take over. A little chaos is warranted.

    • @tay13666
      @tay13666 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +20

      Another key difference with The Warning. The bass keeps the time, not the drums.

  • @gregoryvlchek269
    @gregoryvlchek269 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +86

    This performance was actually at the end of August 2022. The "Queen Of The Murder Scene" concept album was their second album released in November 2018. That means that the girls were only ages 12, 15 and 17 when the songs were WRITTEN. Think about that for a minute!
    The album's songwriting was phenomenally-high-level because, two years prior, at ages 10, 13 and 15 they earned and were awarded scholarships to attend Boston's prestigious Berklee College of Music Summer Youth Program when, among further individual instrument training, they studied music theory, composition, voice and stage performance.
    Earning the Berklee scholarships was relatively easy, because they all had previously trained in classical piano and had formal guitar, bass and drum lessons at single-digit ages. That is to say that their individual musical knowledge and playing abilities were already quite comprehensive and accomplished.
    What you see and hear today is the astounding result of all the formal training, discipline and extremely hard work!

    It's usually Ale's basslines that get my attention , but I do love the main guitar riff in this.
    Title track of the 2nd album, which was released in 2018, and yes a concept album. This concert is the end of August 2022, not long after Lzzy Hale gifted to Dany the Gibson Explorer you see her playing here. The word Pau is singing in the pre chorus is Korosu, it's Japanese and roughly translates to 'kill' or 'murder'.

    It’s another masterpiece of the incredible self-titled concept album "Queen Of The Murder Scene", a masterfully crafted work of art and presented in a very emotional way and full of extraordinary sensations by Dany, Pau and Ale with the same characteristic professionalism carried out in all their projects.
    This master creation marked a before and after in TW's artistic career, just as it marks those who, opening their senses, allow themselves to be fully enveloped by the art emanating from their music.
    Knowledge of TW cannot be expressed without having witnessed the total dedication with which DPA accompanied their performance of "QOTMS" at Lunario in CDMX.

    I have heard The Warning compared to a lot of bands, but this is the first time anyone has called out The Tubes (Attack of the 50' Woman). Love it.
    The Warning have a sound that is both new and familiar. It is certainly hard rock, but clearly influenced by their love of metal, punk, K-pop, indie, grunge, funk, and many other genres including classical music. At the same time simple and complex. But they have taken those influences and forged a sound that is uniquely their own, and you know that it is them.

    Thanks for coming back to The Warning Eric. I just looked back through your previous reactions to TW, you may not be aware of the history behind that White Gibson Explorer that Dany is playing in this track. That was presented to her on stage and mid performance by Lzzy Hale when they toured together last year. Lzzy worked with Gibson to find just the right guitar for her and secretly worked with Dany’s guitar tech to have it customized to her specs. More recently, her biggest idol, Matt Bellamy of Muse presented her with a one-of-a-kind Mustard Yellow Manson Onyx 6. High praise from some big names.

    So, another take on the fan vids...sometimes those are the only way, or at least the first way, for us to learn about new songs, such as Hell You Call A Dream and Sick. Sick is going to be released on Friday; HYCAD is an open question.
    Also, last year in Mexico City they delivered some unusual performances (Black Holes and Enter Sandman with string backing; Breathe live for the first and perhaps only time, and Dust to Dust and Martirio with extended endings). It's possible that they'll release the concert live, but if not, it's the only way those of us not at the concert get to hear it, poor sound quality and all.
    Not going to say that there's a right or wrong answer on this, just that there are different points of view.

    Not sure if you're aware of this but Dany, Pau and Ale were 22-20-17 during this 2022 concert, and 18-16-13 when the QoTMS album was released in 2018. Also, in addition to songwriting credits for QoTMS they also received credits (or co-credits) for arranging and producing as well, and when you compliment their lyrics and singing be sure to remember that English is their second language.

    Ale plays bass guitar like it is an upright bass in a blues trio.

    The guitar Dany is playing was gifted to her by Lzzy Hale during The Warning's set. She was also gifted a Manson guitar by Matt Bellamy of Muse.

    When I listen to this song two words come to my mind: "Old" Savatage. Thanks for this interesting reaction. 🙏

      Cheers,

    This song reminds me of The Munsters!!! Always has, and modern bands like Mt Salem , Purson, and Lucifer, which are all female led. 🤘🏼❤️‍🔥🤘🏼

    Great in-depth reaction as always. Check out their live performance of "EVOLVE" at the 2023 MTV (VMA) awards. They rocked the joint!

    Nice !!! I Love at the end of this "put down the phone" 😂 I saw them Aug 2023 ... was about 8 ft in front of Ale... took 1pic (of Pau) and put phone back into my pocket because I did not want to miss a thing ! Completley Awesome performance !!!!!
