- I love Loverboy and always have - no guilt, pure pleasure. A friend asked us to cover “Turn Me Loose” for her boss, who is also a huge fan of the band, so not only were we happy to oblige, but we decided to go all the way and make a video. Shot in Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, our longtime sound engineer and tour manager Carlos assembled the footage and we absolutely love it. Hope you do too!

Been singing for 35 years, even at my absolute prime at 25, no way I could hit that "fly" note. Respect!
You'd be hard pressed to name 5 others whose voice has held as well as this guy.
For real, he nailed the whole song especially the high note. Ian Thornley is the only one I can come up with off the top of my head.
Steven Tyler, Paul Rodgers, Sammy Hagar, Geddy Lee, Brian Johnson, all of the Doobie Brothers, just off the top of my head.

Outstanding! Kevin Martin is one of the most underrated vocalists in rock. He sounds nothing like Mike Reno and yet he friggin' OWNS this song. Very impressive.

Every few months, I go on a 90s nostalgia listening spree. Candlebox remains to be a band I can listen to for hours on end. This is an awesome cover. Thank you so much for this and the many years of great music.

So a friend tagged me on this just last week...but. I had no idea it was Candlebox....until I just came across it on TH-cam!! We're in our '60s and lived Loveboy back then...man they rocked!! Candlebox sings one of my favorite songs of all time....Far Behind!! 🎸🎸🎸

People thought Loverboy was just another pop band but I saw them when this album first came out front row at Fox theater in Atlanta, ga.They tore the place down that night and while they did eventually kneel down to the pop scene like many great bands did I knew they were true rockers!Candlebox is one of best bands that came out in the 90's and this cover nails it like no other band could!😎🤘

I still blast my Candlebox cds LOUD. Love them. I remember where I was the first time I heard this song. It was a long time ago, in a state very far away now. I was at the Rocky Grove Fair in Franklin, Pa. on the ride called The Twister with my little sister. Still a good rocking Loverboy tune.

NiCCCCCCE!! Graduated in '83 and certainly cruised and partied to that song. LoverBoy was big influence in my neck of the woods--Washington state. Kevin channeled Mike Reno superbly.

Wow! This totally captures the feel of the original. The keyboard had a "Strange Advance" feel to it (which really fits). The lead vocal? Top notch. Total mastery of the Mike Reno/Kenny Shields (RIP) high notes. Pure joy. Pure joy.

Every player seems to be given a nod except the drummer....that is one solid piece of drumming on a super solid sounding kit.
