You guys are AMAZING! It was a honor to sing with you guys! Thanks for having me!
You and the entire band killed this.
you sound GREAT 👍
You DESTROYED on this one, Kristin. Awesome work! :)
Great performance!
Thanks for doing the song. Glad I listened to it!!
Can we get some applause for the Excellent backing vocals?
I agree. They might even be better than the original and those were terrific.
Backing vocals were BADASS!!!!
👍😃👏👏👏👏😃👍
@@rocknforuagree!! 💯💯💯
Yes, they absolutely deserve it!
As a longtime Queensrÿche fan, I applaud this version 🖐💪
Truth!!! This was 👍
I kinda fell out with them around 95, but Rage, Mindcrime, Empire and Promised Land have got to be my top 4 listened to albums of all time.
@@celticc9580 I tend to feel, in general terms, that the first albums of most great musicians have been somehow better than the later ones.
The Queen of the Ryche is proud🤘🏼❤️
Same! Very well done.
A band that can nail a Queensryche song to perfection is a mind-blowing thing to see!
Yes, Geoff Tate is the greatest of all times. They did a good job. But no one can nail unless they are Queensrÿche.
Queensryche is one of my all time favorite bands. I grew up in the 80's and grew up with them. And this cover is 🔥
Yes, you're right.
Same here. Excellent! ✅
Me too, I will be 48 in September 2024. I still listen to the Mindcrime and Empire albums weekly.
Superb performance on everyone's part. Let's hear it for enunciation. Great vocals, lead and backing, and flawless instrumentation.
Richie playing the ESP to be extra authentic to DeGarmo/Wilton is...chef's kiss.
fuckin hell that tone is gorgeous gotta test some ESP new axe :O
First thing I noticed too 😂
@@fabgaz3794 The new USA ESP models are bomb. I have 3 and haven't picked up a beloved Charvel in quite awhile...
Right!
Absolutely cracking - just had to get my foam green ESP the Mirage Deluxe 1980' off the wall and jam along
Excellent!!
Yup.....👍😺👍
The ESP guitar. The perfect backing vocals. Awesome!
Nailed it , Vocal Harmonies are spot on
Band Geeks doing Empire in its entirety with Kristin. Wouldn't that be something?! I love love love this version of Jet City Woman.
You got my up vote on that!
Got my vote also
Performance was so dope Geoff Tate would be impressed!!
Yes. please!
The band sounds AMAZING!!!🔥🎸❤️🤘
First time I hear Kristin Starkey and she made a HUGE impression! Awesome voice!
Her band Temperance just released an album and it's really cool.
Jump over to her channel and check out her cover of Tonight We Ride by Unleash the Archers. She nails it perfectly!!
she definitely kicks ass !
The lead guitarist…dang…nailed it! 🤘🏻
As a fan who grew up nursing on QR, bravo to everyone. That was splendidly performed. I never would have imagined the vocals done any other way but Geoff’s but she did an excellent interpretation in a way that sounded her own and not Lounge Actish. I’ll be sure and check her out.
What a voice! The lead singer nailed that song. OMG! Gave me the chills. Love it.
Everyone involved nailed it. Great band and great backing vocals.
I couldn't stop smiling through the whole song! WOW!!! Damn right it gives the chills!
After the third listen I am still blown away. Awesome vocals from Kristen. I am gonna play the Empire album the rest of the day!!!
That was incredible. I'm a huge Queensryche fan. I was a bit nervous about watching this, but you all did such a great job
Absolute perfection! A cover that honors the original and gives a new spin with those vocals. What more could one ask for? This is just glorious.
Ummm.....DAAY-AAM!! That gal has some pipes!
Had to watch twice but all of 'em are singing back up right? Absolutely spot on. Flawless performance. Don't want to call it a cover. Too good. If these musicians are geeks then they are my new favorite geek band. Luv luv luved it!
That was (as always) excellent. Now get back to producing that Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks Blu-Ray :)
This is no Geoff Tate, but her vocals and the bands rhythms and leads plus backing vocals was on point. She sounded fantastic with her own sound with a lil Tate in the tone.😁😁😁
There’s some Cher in her voice and I’m not mad about it. Great job everyone!
amazing cover! amazing GUEST! She is a beast! I am speechless!
Such a challenging song. Great job!
WOW!!! I have been a Queenryche fan since their very beginnings in Seattle Washington.
I have to say that this is one of their best songs. As I understand the history it's a song that was written about Seattle itself and coming home from the long miles of touring. You guys did an amazing job with this. As a vocalist and guitar player myself in high school back in the dayz I can assure anyone that this is not an easy bar to match. The music alone is on a level that will stand the test of time of any Beethoven or Chopin concerto.bThen there's the unbelievable vocal stylings of Mr. Geoff Tate. What can I say... A legend. Give yourselves a round of applause people. I only listened to your rendition once thus far but I think you nailed it note for note!!! Incredible. I will listen to this many times and even if I hear anything not 100% on point it will still be an amazing tribute to an incredible band born and raised in Seattle Washington all those years ago. Thank you for your outstanding performance.
It was written by Chris for his girlfriend at the time who was a stewardess and a real "jet city woman"
Phil did an excellent job channeling his inner Eddie Jackson Bass line was on point and more
The backup harmonies are ....Fk Yeah!!! Just nice as hell! Overall...great job group
This sounds amazing. You guys crushed it. The lead guitars are 100% doing Degarmo justice, the tone is dead on and you nailed the solo. Nailed.
The solo from this song is one of the best guitar solos of the last 50 years IMO. This is so good.
@KristinStarkey
That was seriously fucking awesome! Every single member fully delivered, and the backing vocals were shockingly good. The lead vocals were top notch as well! 🤘
I can’t stop watching this cover. Y’all nailed the harmonies it sounded so rad.
I don't wanna gush like a fan boy, ....but sheesh , her powerful depth and tone, OMG, so confident !!! ... Richie Ripping it ... Great job guys ... this is golden :) 🎸🎸❤❤
Yeah, she's got the power
Holy smokes!!!!! She has some pipes!
Awesome vocals! Stoney Brook U. is the gift that keeps giving!
Amazing performance! Great musicians & Kristin……. DAMN!
Remarkable….you guys never disappoint!
Holy shat!!!! That voice!!!! And the band! Wow.
Goosebumps ... Awesome to hear a woman sing it so well ... Oh Yeah 🤘
Great song but i will buy the guy some real drums 😁
Absolutely awesome!!!!! And she is one hell of a singer!! 💯🙏👍🤘🤘
The tones are amazing. The vocals. The track picks.
Thank you for showing some love for an Excellent Seattle band, Queensrÿche!!!
They have many songs that are just asking to be covered.
Thank you for sharing your skills and art with us.
They hit all the harmonies that’s fucking awesome!!!impeccable Job!!
If I may be greedy… more Queensrÿche pleeeeeease ❤🤘
You guys do this song better than QUEENSRYCHE does it..... Killer job on it... Listen a "few" times
One of my favorite Queensryche tunes and a fantastic cover!
Just the fact this song is hard to pull off and many have failed miserably trying you guys did an amazing job and of course Kristen just nails it!! What a treat.
Proper and just use of an ESP mirage, what KILLER tone on Richies guitar!
agreed. sweet!
OMG I have never commented on a cover before, but I shed tears listening to this. Awesome cover!!!!
Fantastic! Love the bass in the intro, Richie's solo, and the vocals are incredible. 🙂
Kristin Starkey done amazing job on vocals for this song. LOVE IT
Heyyy Richie and everyone! It’s so great to see a new video!! 🎶😄 I know of Queensryche but I am not familiar with this song. You all sound amazing!! This is a great cover!! The singer is amazing!’ 👍 love that guitar work
To all band members, this song was played Outfucking Standing! Geoff Tate and all band members from Queensryche would give you one hell of a Standing Ovation! Well Fucking Played! I SALUTE all of you! You got my Respect!
This is really cool, great version, particularly the vocals. But it just goes to show how astonishing Geoff Tate was back then, because he made this song sound effortless!
Yes , long live Geoff
fuuuck owff that was incredible. Wtf man. Nobody ever does QR justice. Y'all owned that cover.
Killin it! Great job! Love her vocals and the playing was perfection!
WOW, WOW, WOW. Okay so 61yr old male here and I think we just found the daughter of Grace Slick and Ann Heart, Kristin Starkey.
WOW! WOW! WOW! Amazing performance! I’m mesmerized! ❤
Fantastic song great cover well done❤❤
You guys continue to prove that DI'd instruments and electric drum sets are the way to go now. This sounds fantastic. If this was fed out to a big arena PA system audiences would be amazed at just how good it sounds.
I'm not easily impressed by covers or cover bands. That being stated i grew up with Queensryche and I had several opportunities to see Geoff perform live. I have to admit this young lady has an amazing powerful voice. LEFT ME IMPRESSED
Richie is the best! I like the voices in this.
The younger lady can sing at its highest level. A PLUS A PLUS A PLUS
Excellent as always guys! Tearing it up, and Kristin with those killer vocals. Awesome work!
This was absolutely incredible. This is a difficult song to cover without either sounding too dissimilar to the original or else as if one is trying to imitate their vocalist. But Kristin was true to herself, and still killed it. I was blown away by how much your backing vocals sounded like theirs! Richie, that solo was pure magic. You NAILED the tone of the original. Lastly, the production was ALSO incredibly faithful to the original! That was a near-perfect mix. This brought back some great memories. You guys are legends, you are.
Yall are fantastic!!!!!!
Background vocals are AMAZING FELLAS !!! Great job. Blown away
Probably my favorite Queensryche song. Geoff Tate just kills me when he sings it, I feel the longing, the wanting, the powerful melancholdy. You guys did a decent job with this, could be the best cover I've heard. But nothing compares with the original.
Are you kidding me??? You guys are completely giving me goosebumps like insane@! This is spot on nailing this beyond words. ❤️🔥🌟✨❤️🔥🌟✨❤️🔥 Fantastic vocals!!!
Kristin was phenomenal. What a voice! Backing vocals were also superlative.
Wow!!! Blown away… again. That’s for doing these Richie. That’s a room full of talent!!! ❤
Kristin you killed it, you rock girl! ALL you guys from left to right knocked it outa the park, bitchen to badass!!
This is the vocal this song needed!
Love this cover. Great vocals, also the backing ones. Only one thing that doesn't immediately work to my ear is the choice to replace the relatively clean high vocals in the end of the first part of the verse ("Echo in my head like a scream" / "I can't breathe") with distorted highs: I remember always waiting for this part in the original version as it really nicely lifts the song to a new level, and I feel it shouldn't be a harsh scream but more like a powerful moan. Purely my personal preference, the execution is still great.
Wow!! Love that low tone!! Perfect song choice for that killer voice.
Andy Ascolese is quickly becoming one of my favorite drummers.
Surprised to see Kristin here! Thanks Richie for covering one of my favorite bands... Excellent condition 💯👍
🔥🎸🔥
Bravo Castellano dal cognome italiano . Grande la contralto NEW Yorkese ora con gli italiani Temperance. Good job great Queensryche cover from Empire album 1990
Nice job geeks. You nailed it. Great leads Richie.
Outstanding! BTW, I have that exact ESP Mirage Deluxe. Great guitar.
This is as good as the original!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!
This will be a tough song n cover like trying to cover Queen. Impossible to do better. Good try w your deep voice. Tate had the highest vocals.
Holy crap! Simply the best version of this song. Full stop.
I'm a Queensryche fan from the very beginning, the E.P. and The Warning. I can unabashedly say.........that fu__ing ROCKED !!! 😎👍
Fantastic song choice and execution! Great job as always!!
gdamn put my hairs on end, this was my gen music great jobs folks, queenrsyche ftw
Outstanding! Kristin IS incredible - and those backing vocals are really good, too.
Awesome duplication sounds just like queensryche great job wow.
As a massive Queensryche fan, they nailed.
Didn’t think a chick singer could pull this off- I was wrong. Well done!
Wow excellent cover❤
I must confess…
Being a Queensrÿche fan…
Having grown up in this time…
A Seattlite (BY BIRTH ONLY)…
A Tacoman…
Seeing that this cover was a woman in Geoffs place, I was concerned.
I was wrong. This sounded great!
Thank you for NOT changing the song itself.
Very talented musicians.
Wow !! That’s fantastic ! Love the song, and this is by far the best rendition I’ve ever heard other than the OE 🤘😎🤘
Her voice is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just not for this song :(
I've always thought Queensryche was underrated. Empire is an epic album. Great job with the song.
Insanely great cover! Kristin killed the vocals. Happy Thanksgiving Richie and crew!
Someone help your drummer get an adult kit………he is far too good for this child kit!
Wow! She nailed Geoff’s vocals! That bass intro is so iconic. What an incredible song!!
Could you cover Last Time In Paris by Queensryche?
