Question of the Day 💡 Which Microphone did you like the best?! Let me know! *** Check out the best mic under $50 for TH-cam HERE ➡️ geni.us/tnqe (Amazon)
I recently got an extension cord for 10$ it has completely changed my audio as well. Simply having the mic always in front of you or close to your mouth is the next step to upping your game! Thanks Think Media for always providing such great content!
@@OlleyThorpe in my last video I hid my rode mic pro behind my laptop while speaking. The camera was 6 feet away but the sound is super crisp with no echo 😍😍! What type of mic do you use?
The comica was my very first mic I got for videos a couple years ago after watching in depth comparison video's and it besting the rode and everything else close or way more in price. I've been recommending it ever since I got it it's a little beast of a microphone. I recorded audio from it into my phone and put it up against a pro condensor mic into a interface and DAW and asked about 20 people which 1 was which and not 1 of them knew, it was at that moment I knew I spent way to much on fancy mics
Love it! audio makes a huge difference, I notice when I started thinking about the audio in my videos, it deffo helped the views, make every video better than the last
That Diety sounds good, but man that Comica is a steal! Sound n price! Could u tell us what lens x phone grip your using on the iPhone rig?!? Also what dome light are you using?!? Always great content and vibes Omar!
I’m running the rode video micro for my talking head videos. I feel like my audio is pretty solid but sometimes I get comments that say my audio is no good and that always makes me feel like I need to buy something fancy.
While testing your mics, how much did you set your camera's pre-amp or volume to? I have a similar video mic kit from Powerdewise and I want to test the output of it without having to invest into another mic. I just want it to meet your standard test and eventually reach -6 db, which I can alternately do with multiple trials too. BTW, I am a part time non-motivated TH-camr and your team's videos give me great inspiration to get up and just record.
Shout to Pyle audio. My last name is Pyle and I always think about buying stuff from them. I always joked saying if I was a wrestler my move would be the PYLEdriver I laughed when I found out they have a sub called the Pyle driver. I use the Movo shotgun mic its pretty good for a beginner
Can tell me what case is on your phone? How to you get you mic to stat attached to your phone? Did I miss that somewhere in the video? I went back through and couldn’t find it.
90% of video is audio. I can post a youtube video with a 15fps 320x240 webcam from 1995 with a solid microphone used correctly and that video can be successful (particularly if your content is stylized.) if I post a youtube video with a high end 8k camera with a high end studio with perfect lighting and a noisy overdriven or too-soft microphone and it drops out every couple of seconds or whatever, that video is going to bomb.
I’m gonna have to either upgrade my mic or completely go through every box in my garage. Just got home from 5 months in Saudi Arabia and I can’t find my external mic. It was supposed to be in one box but it’s not there. I’m pretty upset with myself for loosing my mic but I guess that’s what happens when you buy a house and move right before deploying.
great video!~ May I ask- which sturdy portable light weight gimbles/selfie sticks are compatible with the Comica microphone when using an iPhone 12 Pro?
This is awesome! I will be going after the cómica! I was going to ask you . “ What is the name and where can I also get the wide lens extension “ the one you are using for your iPhone mini. I myself have one and am interested in getting one like the one you have please and thank you 🙏.
we turn the mic around all the time, if your pointing the camera to thing and showing people things, then you're going to be behind it. we need a mic that sounds good both behind it and in front of it.
I just bought the Diety D4 mini for starting but I'm also thinking of buying a 100 dollar Rode lavalier mic. Is it recommended? Or if my budget is 100-150 bucks for a second mic, does this Diety still compete and I don't need to upgrade?
What About the Boya BYmm1?? its also a brilliant little cheap microphone! I'm using this mic on my video shoots and vlogs aswell. Great audio quality!!
Hi Omarel I wanted to ask which mic would you suggest to use? If you are doing a faceless channel where only audio and transitions and I use my laptop to do all that .
Anyone on the thread can answer: I have the cheap $25 vlogging kit from Walmart. I use an iPhone to shoot my videos. On nearly every video, at random times, I get a few seconds of static. I purchased a new lightning cable to connect to my phone, but that didn’t solve the problem. Would getting one of these mics help, or do I have a different issue? Thanks.
I’m totally ready to purchase the deity d4 for interviewing but does the audio from the input retain the separate channels when exported from your smartphone?
I just purchased the comica vm10II, but there is a constant background noise, no matter where I record. When I use the camera mic, I don't get this noise. I am at a loss as to why this is happening.
I have the Boya M1 mic. I have seen a few videos that say to connect to my Canon t8i I need to initially have it in the manual mode then go into my menu to adjust the settings in audio. Once the settings are in place can I then return to auto as I am still learning my camera and not to tech savvy. Does Think Media have a video for this set of the Boya M1? Thanks to anyone that can answer this question.
Absolutely NO reason to buy the Rode. The Comica is by far the best value. I wish I had learned about it before buying the D4 Mini. The D4 Mini is awesome and I love the sound quality, but I don't use the input feature so I could have easily saved those 20 USD and gotten the case too.

Dope video Omar! They all sound pretty similar and really good!! Having the mic close to you really makes them sound professional 🙌🏻
👍🏾

Thank you so much for your support!! We will keep going ;)
Omar...For the past >2yrs+, have preferred using either Deity D4 Duo or Movo DoubleMic. Both
ive been using the comica for a while now and im loving the compact form factor, the clean audio when im outdoors and for the price its hard to beat.
Love it! audio makes a huge difference, I notice when I started thinking about the audio in my videos, it deffo helped the views, make every video better than the last

These videos always come in when I need them.
Right!!!?!!
I love comica products. I've reviewed a number of them and still use them.
This is the video that I have been needing, thank you sir! I think I’m going to buy the first one since it has more accessories.
Omar is the man 😁👍. My favorite tech u tuber. I hope he continues the great content.

I've got the Rode shotgun mic and I love it. Paid $100 at best buy, but I also have a $10 mic from Amazon that works well too.
Does this work for the Sony a6400?
What do you have your camera audio settings set to? (to get the best audio out of the mic?)

I love the Diety. I turn it around and face me while I’m interviewing someone with a wireless mic. Good audio from both.

What camera did you use for this brother? I love your knowledge!
And what lens?
Comica also sounds very good. And it's cost-effective.
Have got the Rode Mic Pro which is also fairly cheap ($150 or so) and really good quality
Stellar audio on your vids mate I'm super jealous👌
This is EPIC! Thanks for the help! Your channel is extremely helpful to do many people! Including me!

The Comica sounds good! The price is very affordable
Just ordered the Comica.
where did you get that wide lense for your iphone? that thing it sick

I like the rode mic quality
Omar, please share what camera + lens you shot on for the studio scenes? I saw it was a Sony at 7:59 but what's the model?
Question for you. Where can I find the link to the light that Omar uses? Thanks!

Great video and a lot of good information. Thank you.!
Omar, dont you have any issue with the rode videomic Go on DSLR ? mine is a disaster on my M50 MII ... why keeping silent on this issue ?
What About the Boya BYmm1?? its also a brilliant little cheap microphone! I'm using this mic on my video shoots and vlogs aswell. Great audio quality!!
Hi Omarel I wanted to ask which mic would you suggest to use? If you are doing a faceless channel where only audio and transitions and I use my laptop to do all that .
I got the Rode mic, but honestly, I’ve found the built in mic on my iPhone 11 Pro sounds better. Am I hearing things?

MOVO VXR10 Pro is the best mic not included here for $50 that comes with all accessories with output for headphones monitoring.
Nice Review! I'd go with cost-effective Comica
Literally, the exact video I needed thanks for reading my mind Think Media! #VRAFAM
Nice video Omar. Well thought out. Deity would be good to daisy chan the mics for interview scenario as you said or if someone is recording stereo.
Upgraded to rode videomicro recently for my YT vids! Defo sounds better compared to my first few vids
Yeah your vids are sounds great bro!
do these microphones work on the laptop?
is that a phone case with a mount point? What are they called? I tried searching and cant find one.
What about the phone grip that you are using?
Wondering that too
Think media to 2 million big up omar
Thanks for the information , it was helpful ☺️
I'm literally on my way down to buy a shotgun microphone and this pops up as new upload. I guess the store can wait... Thanks in advance :D
Lets go man! constantly making improvements one step at a time! 🙌🏻
@@OlleyThorpe 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Dope and informative ✌️
.
Awesome video! All of your video quality is *****
.
How do you not choose the deity for the 2nd mic input? Also there are other mics with a rear directional 2nd mic, how come those weren’t considered?
I’m totally ready to purchase the deity d4 for interviewing but does the audio from the input retain the separate channels when exported from your smartphone?
This is so helpful. Thanks think media.
I just purchased the comica vm10II, but there is a constant background noise, no matter where I record. When I use the camera mic, I don't get this noise. I am at a loss as to why this is happening.
I just use my iPhone:) my videos turn out great!
Sometimes, we need to buy digital voice recorder if your camera doesn't support external microphone
Wireless mic's - bought some chinese wireless ones that I can't calibrate. Don't wanna go with the Rode's, but might...
I currently have a Sony a6000 which doesn’t have port for these mics what can I use ?
Oh God I needed this video
what about the Takstar microphones???
Thank you so much!
Thanks
