They should sell a kit with both mic colors. That way people can choose light or dark, depending on what they’re wearing. I would have liked to have seen compatibility with the hot shoe adapter. Good review. If it had those 2 things, it would have been a instant order for me.
Awesome in depth video! ❤ less not forget the price! I paid a lot for the DJI 2 and I rarely use them bcuz they seem to never connect to my devices! A total waste of money! Glad they made these, I wish they made them in white in the same case. That stop and start recorder is a game changer!
if only the dji mic 2 reciever work with the dji mic mini transmitter. Surely i will just buy one dji mic mini transmitter only. Honestly the tiny mic looks great.....
DJI has been really competitive on people like us on the consumer end.. first was dji neo and now dji mic mini.. if they’ll have dji osmo pocket 3 mini (budget version) I’ll really get that too..
I prefer the mic2. The esthetics and build quality is superb in my eyes. I dont mind it being a little bigger. But i do like the price point of the mini 😂
I ordered the set yesterday after it was released I’m excited to use it and see how it is. Sounds good that’s for sure. Was looking at the Mic2 for awhile. I don’t really do post production for my videos and doubt I’ll ever need internal recording.
@ listening to both from different reviews it seems the mini is close though. I would say I like the receiver of the mic 2 more I played with a mic 2 it was cool. But for the price the mini is great and it’s compact and easy. We will see hopefully mine comes today.
Thanks for the thorough video! I was wondering with the magnet removed from the transmitter, can the clip be placed into the hot shoe of a camera? Or is it narrower than the clip on the receiver? For example, if I had a cage with a cold shoe. I can attach the receiver to the camera's hot shoe and the transmitter to the cage's cold shoe. I'm looking to reduce my footprint from a shotgun mic. Thanks!
You don't need a comparison, that one is way better and smaller. With that one you have two receivers, one with USB C and one with Lightning. Oh, it's also cheaper with Black Friday offers for $111
@@asalimi It isn't way better. It is a great deal but doesn't have the mono back up track, the 5 volume settings (just 3 with the camera receiver), or the headphone monitor feature. I love it, but it isn't perfect or the exact same.
Having had and used the DJI Mic 2 since it came out, making several videos on feature and flaws (no backup recording while connected via bluetooth to smartphones being the big one, since you can’t then bring just the mic and a phone and record a crappy bt audio track to your video and easily sync and replace it with a decent internal recording later) the Dji Mic Mini is probably the version most people should get, unless one REALLY needs the internal backup recording done internally on the Dji Mic 2’s (most people don’t need it for hobby video, necessary for «pro» use/paid productions). The bluetooth option is unusable anyway on both versions, and *most* people don’t need the 32 bit float quality of the internal dji mic 2 recordings unless they are recording in conditions where audio levels might go from normal to REALLY LOUD (i.e. during football matches or other sporting events, interviewing really exited people or recording audio from speakers who talk *really* loud at times, but then fluctuates between loud and normal volumes). However: if one has a older iphone (with lightning), use a thick case on their phone, or use an android without usb c the Mini is not a really good option, and not the mic 2 either :/
Thanks for the review! Can i ask let's say i mount the receiver on my camera via jack. And i record two people talking.. How can i adjust the volume differently on each mic? Thank you!
Ah thank you! I have been deciding over the two Creator vs Vlog bundles since I wanted 2 mics but now I think the best combo is the Creator Bundle + DJI Mic Mini.
@@ThinkMediaTV I am wondering if I buy a solo mic mini, if it can clip on to the top of my Pocket3 case like the DJIMic 2... It seems like it would be smaller sitting on top of my case...

I really like the DJI Osmo 3 & Action 5 features that link the equipment to a phone number, just in case some authorities would like to locate a content creator. If the phone is linked to the camera on a regular basis there is also the possibility of metadata being sent to the mothership, so authorities will be able to access more detailed info about all the content being videoed. All great features.
Both are great! The Hollyland's reciever is a bit more flush with the iPhone and you can get one just for the iPhone, which brings down the cost. But if you ever did want to use with Osmo Products or your camera, the DJI is a good choice!
Okay, so here is a question, did it's better than hollyland M2 ? In my country there is 35% discount for M2 biggest set now and I just ordered, but if DJI is better of course I will chose that one. So here is a question :D

Great review! Does GoPro have a solution that’s comparable? By that I mean a microphone that wirelessly connects to the GoPro action cam and also serves as a remote? This functionality alone could make me sell my GoPro to switch to their system.
1) The price is a lot less then De DJI Mic 2 or Mic1 for that matter and 2) it's a lott smaller in size than the latter. A simple reason to opt out the the external mic option or the internal recorder on both mics.

I believe you are talking about backup recording on the DJI Mic 2. If so, the Mic Mini does not have that feature, It has to be plugged into a device to record audio! Hope this helps!
A real gamechanger was and still is the Hollyland M2s .. Super small and the give you Black or white sticker to let you Cover the Logo.. No they dont have 32 bit flott and all that stuff but they do what they do with no Problems at all. For a Fraktion of the price.
