What does that have to do with anything? FI has the means to streamline the manufacturing process and bring pricing down. It is the obvious reason why the market will not grow quicker. If an entry level kit could be had at a lower price you would murder the market. Make it accessible then upsell on the options. Save your sarcasm, as they would easily generate hefty amounts of revenue. Offer an entry level system that is accessible and safe, and then tax hard on all the accessories. Make the parts specific for your application, and just run with it.

Once again, FI. Alex impresses the hell out of me, smart move and smart video. As a car enthusiast it’s terrible news. Small companies like these are the ones that drive the revolution and stand avant-garde everyone else. Now, from a business point of view... them holding out till the end and really trying (I’m sure) to come up with a strategy to keep the company a float is the reason that this is coming out the blue. Bankruptcy isn’t always a death sentence but it is a ball and chain that is hard to get rid off. Niche companies like these are hard to keep afloat even without the “shutdown” just take a look at your suspension videos for the past couple of months. You’ve talked about coil overs and lowering springs but not very much about air. That has an influence in the market that you advert in, the people at fitment industries are really smart and they observe the market because they are consumers themselves that’s why they react so easily to the changes to the market, it’s like that whole “keep an ear to the ground ” thing. It would be great for FI to buy/merge with AccuAir but it really depends on the true condition that they are in. I’m sure they have orders that are still to be met and other things going on... so it really depends on how they handle themselves in the next few weeks.. buying a failing business is kinda like going out to save someone thats drowning. You have to be strong enough to keep yourself afloat while your keeping them afloat as well. listening Alex speak the way his doing in this public manner let’s me know that Fi is definitely strong enough, not only because of the business they have but also because if the amount of backing they have from the community. Last thing......: licensing it’s always an option, yes they are many risks like quality control, brand name etc.... but it will keep you afloat.... just a thought.
I love coilovers and bought BC racing coils. The other option that I wanted Accuair for my Acura rsx. This sucks. But their line was expensive and didn't offer it for my car
I don’t know the profit margin Accuair had but their products were SO DAMN EXPENSIVE. The products are awesome though and great quality. If they could find a way to cut some of that price tag they might be sustainable for awhile longer.
I think the best way for AccuAir to come back is for people to order custom air suspension. Like, they fund the money needed to make air suspension for their own vehicle, like a Nissan Rogue or Lexus RX. That way, not only will AccuAir be able to come back, we could have air suspension for many more vehicles
Iam a coilover overall but i do love the airbags . Iam gonna miss them all the build that have or using the product are gonna be gems. Their product gonna be collecters rare items .
If possible I think you guys should purchase them. Keep a quality brand like them around, and make it like a fitment industries in house brand. Wheels tires and Air!
I just started to build my E60 and was thinking either of getting AccUair or Airlift Performance on my ride. It's sad to hear what this global pandemic is doing to lives and also businesses. Sad to hear what happened but hoping they come back strong in the game.
If you guys bought them and got prices down with in house manufacturing I'd be looking to buy. New suspension setup should be right around the corner for me
Always wanted to get accuair but their prices were too high so I went with air lift. Never have I regretted that decision and I’m on my second car with bags. Only thing I wish they improved on was their controller . Hope the next system that they make has a wireless controller with a bigger colored screen.
It’s sad to see this happening to any US company. I bought the CVT during the 1st presale. Awesome & quiet product. Then I bought the e-Level + during SEMA which got delivered last month. They completely closed shop & the app new wasn’t even released (at least I can’t find it) so now I have a awesome digital system with no way to remotely use it 🤬
Down the road I wanted to put my 06 speed6 on air, and Accuair was my go to. Such a shame that tough times can wear off on such great companies. #saveaccuairfi
accuair is based in my hometown, San Luis Obispo. Hate to see them go, always used to drive by their warehouse by the airport just to see the cars outside. Something should be done to keep them going.
That is a bitchin tank setup, I was looking at that for my mk4 Ute project (room is limited if I want a usable bed, and all that shit's gonna have to go in a custom box sunk in the back floor anyways)
@@ItsTheDon27 i hope if they do go out the patent on the integrated tanks gets bought by another reputable company or gets whored out (china) and cheaper alternatives come about in a short time
Hopefully they will come back. Just like BBS had bankruptcy issues several times. Might require some restructuring. From a legal stand point, this can be a bit messy. But I do hope they are up and running soon.
I see what you’re doing Fitment Industries :) .. and id actually love for that to happen . They need the help right now and instead of letting the whole company die , y’all should step in . And maybe one day they could get the chance to go independent again ofc . #saveaccuair
Yoo I’m in the video lol. But on a real note as a former employee it’s shit seeing this. My family’s business sells their product and for a long time now I’ve known and appreciated the quality of the product. I worked there for almost 2 years and enjoyed every day of it. Wish the best for all the guys 🙌🏽
Guys, Accuair most likely didn't just COMPELTELY PLUMMIT as a company, they were probably accruing heavy losses and realized that the curve wasn't slowing down. Claiming bankruptcy can be a blessing. It gives them some time to chill, hold on to any assets they may still have, before they start going into the red. It's a smart business decision in times like these.
Take any IP the company owns and begin to license the designs to local shops and company. If their primary overhead was caused by manufacturing & supply chain issues - they can likely still survive due to the brand & engineering they have put into the products. If they partner with other machine shops across the US and provide training they can still drive sales while keeping their overhead low. Basically reference the way the solar industry does things. Manufacturing is done by one company, brand and R&D another company, installations and supply chain done by another. As a small business Accuair - doing everything, especially at a time like this unfortunately won't work. They are an awesome company, hope you guys can save them. Above is my opinion.
I love accuair products I don't have a system personally but seeing them around and the skill they have is amazing. I've always dreamed of getting a system for the foxbody platform and rep them with my car. This is sad I really hope they come back strong. #saveaccuair
So will this bankruptcy affect the exciting accuair kit owners . I. Talking along the lines of replacement parts for those people in the car community that has the air system installed in their car .
Why isn't anyone talking about the key differentiating factor about Accuair. The ENDO-CVT is something other companies haven't yet duplicated. Having two noisy external compressors in my trunk while also taking up extra space is the primary barrier from me wanting air suspension.
Because almost everybody also knows that they were terribly unreliable. I've heard of people that ran a separate compressor next to it because the in tank pump would refuse to work that often. I think this was also part of the reason they went down.
Maybe just let them work out of a facility up here in Wisco? Not sure if it was just that Cali was shut down, but I bet a warehouse or shop up here would be able to work as a production/assembly facility? Just a thought!
Sometimes price does affect sales, the product they sell is top notch, but at the end of the day(Alex voice). We all do price comparison. Airlift has been around for years with good reason and all the other companies. 3500full kit vs 4500 management that does the same thing is kind of a no brainer. They lower the prices and bring the product to match the competition. Watch how they take over. Price does matter when you build on a budget
You see this all the time in business. They pull out with their money and file bankruptcy. They save themselves and their money. The company is done for but they'll build another brand when this is over. And with their statement that they're not going to comment or reach out to customers just proves their motives. They'll let the bankruptcy company handle the rest of the details. It's a slimy tactic but it's a way to secure financials for the owners only, through this recession that will happen around July.
#saveaccuairfi I worked in the industry for a few years, one thing that almost sank the company I worked for was not having enough raw goods on hand. We would get plenty of orders in, however due to not having the raw goods to make the products caused a lot of cancellations and further more cause a lot of distrust with our dealers. This maybe one of the reasons from the sounds of it they could not stay ahead. It doesn't matter how good your product is, if you can't supply that product to the people that want it they will go else where.
Fittment industries save my warranty lol. Honestly super sad about the news. Reno and the Accuair crew are cool dudes. Always fun to catch up with them at Sema. If they’re aren’t able to get back on their feet I wonder what’ll happen to the CVT patent.
It’s amazing how many people are saying they wanted to buy accuair after they closed also something sounds off for a company to close down only 2 weeks into the lockdown this had to be happening for a while now they just needed a good reason to do it still sucks to see them go
Both you and accuair both have awesome buisiness models. Very helpful. If its financially possible it would make a very nice merge. And who knows later on down the line accuair could break off again into a sister company
It's much more complicated than that. There's production QA/sustaining, regulation compliance, validation testing, vendor sourcing, relocation fees (Wyoming is infinitely cheaper than CA) and finding new engineering staff (I highly doubt people who have built their lives here in CA will just up-and-leave). There are a lot of factors that go into this; it's not as simple as "hUrDuR lEmMe mAkE a PuRcHaSe"
Sit down with Accuair and discuss their business plan, try to minimize their break even point using all means and potentially get them producing another product for another company in the same warehouse without getting rid of quality
Use #saveaccuairfi.

Airlift is really killing the game tho, especially more recently 👌 sad to see accuair go tho, maybe you guys can snag a deal and combine🙏🏻
I've been using accuair e-level for over 6 years now never had any problems
Don't know how patents work with bankruptcy but hopefully someone can start producing the compressor tank combos soon. Such an awesome innovation.
accuair is based in my hometown, San Luis Obispo. Hate to see them go, always used to drive by their warehouse by the airport just to see the cars outside. Something should be done to keep them going.
Man, and I was just a few months of saving away from getting their endo cvt system
That is a bitchin tank setup, I was looking at that for my mk4 Ute project
(room is limited if I want a usable bed, and all that shit's gonna have to go in a custom box sunk in the back floor anyways)
I wanted that too but I needed to save up. Now I’m at the point where I could set it up but now they closed damn
@@ItsTheDon27 i hope if they do go out the patent on the integrated tanks gets bought by another reputable company or gets whored out (china) and cheaper alternatives come about in a short time
Either is a win i suppose
BassDaddy Dave hopefully it’s soon I really liked the cvt setup
if the numbers stack up you guys have to do it !!!!
Air ride should buy them out offer both pressure and height leveling. Also yall definately should buy them
Guys, Accuair most likely didn't just COMPELTELY PLUMMIT as a company, they were probably accruing heavy losses and realized that the curve wasn't slowing down. Claiming bankruptcy can be a blessing. It gives them some time to chill, hold on to any assets they may still have, before they start going into the red. It's a smart business decision in times like these.
Can we all buy the company like a consortium? Probably like how force india was bought by racing point? (f1 stuff)
Damn... My E24 has an AccuAir set planned. Hope they are back in business after a while, how am I gonna be cool without AccuAir?
Someone needs to buy that company. If that is Fitment Industries, or KW, or AEM, or Edelbrock AccuAir is a company that the aftermarket needs.
i was really hoping to get ACCUAIR for my next car as i was saving up and i dont wanna see it go theyre stuff is amazing
Alex what are those wheels above your right shoulder? Would they fit a 2013 VW GTI?
I love accuair products I don't have a system personally but seeing them around and the skill they have is amazing. I've always dreamed of getting a system for the foxbody platform and rep them with my car. This is sad I really hope they come back strong. #saveaccuair
What brand is that gray star wheel at the lower right?
KNP from Kansei! Check them out! --> www.fitmentindustries.com/store/wheels?sort=popular&brand=Kansei&wmodel=KNP
I seen your first car recommendation video and I was just wondering what your thoughts were on a Nissan Altima coupe? Thanks
What if come a across an endo cvt tank how I go about management?
Dude that mop on your head is killer
What if someone buys them overseas? Lower the overhead costs and operate at a smaller scale. Are they considering the idea?
So will this bankruptcy affect the exciting accuair kit owners . I. Talking along the lines of replacement parts for those people in the car community that has the air system installed in their car .
I wanna know how I can get the FIxTNF collaboration jacket, Alex?? 👀
These guys are in my hometown .. I was about to grab an elevel system.. know a couple guys who work there too.. going to have to grab one now
You guys need to buy them out
Crazy shit! I still can't believe it.
Glad I went Airlift. Sucks to see them go.
Maybe just let them work out of a facility up here in Wisco? Not sure if it was just that Cali was shut down, but I bet a warehouse or shop up here would be able to work as a production/assembly facility?
Just a thought!
I just got a fitment industries ad on a fitment industries video
Where can I find something like this for my 96 BMW 850 ci ?
So wait. How much are their products now?
that Car Vlogging community should all come together to Save Accuair #SAVEaccuairfi
Clearly accuair has no business model as they evaded taxes. Hence bankruptcy
