I still try to stay with them but it hurts seeing all the indeedees not being farmed. Also love the damagers pinging “retreat” as I just stand by them to get my little 30% treat.
Here's my opinion on when to run EXP Share (In Solo Queue): Supporter: 100% Should (With Mr.Mime as a MAYBE) Defender: Situational (Depends on if you trust your Team) Also, Trio queues who run 3 Carries and no Support or Defender should be put in the timeout corner.
I agree (mime’s a defender/all rounder. Not support). I think some tanks work well but some not really. Ones that evolve twice (mamo, blastoise) have a harder time and like their 13 more than someone like ho-oh or umbreon. Also I so agree. Whenever I duo/trio I end up being support/tank and that exp share carries. Getting your partner as a 2nd jungler is OP.
Exp share in soloQ?? Oh heell naw The last time i use exp share, i still have the most damage total and stole rayquaza. 😢😢😢 Never again Edit: it was master 1300 game
I’d make an argument that Wiggly doesn’t need Exp share like Mime since he’s also a very aggro harasser kind of tank/support hybrid who really spends most of his time on enemies being annoying. I really like focus band, res guard, and cookie on Wigglytuff. At least I find success with this set, but exp is still a very good item on Wiggly. I just don’t think it’s 100% mandatory on him like it is on Blissey or Hoopa. Now when I play literally every other support, exp is mandatory. I love it on Clef!
I never really understood what exactly exp share does (mathwise) since the ingame description is a little shallow. now I finally get it. It seems pretty OP tbh. I personally wouldn't run it on every defender or support. Tree for example. But I will definitely run it more often now.
If you play a trio in ranked and none of the three of you have an EXP Share on, the game should instantly deduct from your Fair Play Points at the end of the match regardless of the outcome.
Quick correction regarding stored exp: When obtaining active exp say in the clefairy/espeon example, the clefairy would gain 42 total exp because there was 70 stored exp which 21 of which was converted by gaining 21 active leaving the clefairy with 28 remaining EXP until evolution of which it was already stored exp (so another active experience gain of 14) If there was only 50 stored exp, then the remaining stored exp would have been 8 stored exp in which case a gain of 14 afterwards would have been a total of 22 exp resulting in a need for 6 more exp needed additionally still after the 14 exp. PaladinKnight's tweet is taken completely out of context. Umbreon's in comp play had typically been playing Focus Band over Buddy Barrier and the choice to not run buddy barrier was the issue in queestion
I'm an exp share advocate and use it all the time, I don't trust my teamates to split experience in lane which leaves me more dried out than a Helioptile sun bathing in a desert. One alternative to Exp Share is heavily stacking away from your teamate by stealing enemy farm as this still provides your lane partner with 100% exp but allows you to play more of a carry and distrupt enemy farm aswell, Though there is a lot of risk in feeding and not every Pokémon can take this approach. I'd say a teamate that gives an ally experience is more Supportive than a Supporter that dosen't, They're still gonna heal you but you gotta pay in exp for their service.
As a support defender main, Ive had people get on mic and yell at me for taking farm... with exp share on. Some dont know what it does, and others think they still need the last hit, or it doesnt work. Ive also had people leave my lane because i was "stealing" all the farm. And no, I didnt take all the energy. I let them stack. They just dont know what exp share does. I will sometimes say fuck it, and just take off the item, because it does it tiring, seeing it squandered
During ttar meta I was playing exp clefable in soloq and my ttar got on mic to yell at me for hitting the same farm as him so I try to tell him I have exp share on to help and he yells at me more saying he doesn't care, getting to late game he yells at me again for no not healing him when a sec ago he told me to leave him alone 😭 It didn't help that he was using a speed build on ttar and nun of his teammates can keep up with him rushing into a 1v4 Stuff like this really discourage me to have exp share on or to even play supporters
I've had that happen a lot too. I've lost a lot of games because my laner will straight up AFK on the way up the lane with the bunnies because I hit each of the first two with them. It's quite silly. I still use it anyway now though.
As an Exp share eccentric, I advocate for spreading the knowledge and numbers accurately generated by the lightbulb crown! 👑💡 YES HUSKYYY! THANK YOU 🙏🏼 FOR SPREADING THE GOOD WORD OF THE EXP SHARE!!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️👏👏👏
I run it the majority of the time Solo, ALL the time when duo/trio/or fully stacked (my team might kill me lol). Only time I don't run it solo anymore is when I see two more Exp Shares on my team already and am praying they don't go lane together. Sometimes when I am running it the OTHER exp share user will come with me and I have to abandon the lane to go 3-1-1 somewhere. I actually really like the speed benefit of exp share as a perk. The other time I won't run it on my defender or support is when I'm actually stacked or duo/trio and am playing that character as a carry rather than it's traditional role. The gloves come off so to speak. >=)
Shoutouts to that one Eldegoss I had who raged out of my lane less than 1 minute in because I got the last hit on 7 wilds mons on a row even though she had EXP. Share, Timi should really just put in the description that the holder will never get more than a 30% share, regardless on who got the last hit. And just in case, no, Eldegoss wasn't stacking.
Not a support/defender main, but I do tend to play them a lot in soloq. I run exp share regardless because the ammount of players that don't know how it work is smaller than the ones who know, in my experience is about a 90-10 ratio, so I might as well just baby my laner into a menace to make them carry with my help. Shout out to lv9 lane ttar at 7 minute mark winning my lane
I wish they would just incorporate the EXP share into the support pokemon themselves. I am sick of only having 2 items while everybody else gets a has 3
I play solo and usually find myself forced to play defender and just feel like I don't know how to play with it because I'm usually aggressive. I feel like when I use exp share I have my worst performances because I find myself trying to sit back and support and I don't know how to attack anymore lol
I agree with the opinion that there are reasons to run exp share or not But also some mons were designed to mandatory run exp share like most supports except for Mime and Eldegoss
@@kathleenhawke7842 I think they exclude Mime and Eldegoss as they have high damage scaling on certain moves allowing full Mage Builds by stacking specs, Clefable does too but I don't blame them as Draining Kiss is quite weak right now. Unless you're running EXP Share on a non Defender/Supporter AND it turns out everyone on your team is literally a crayon-eating toddler, EXP Share Jungler is NEVER viable. Junglers often farm alone, nullifying the 130% bonus EXP benefit, and junglers are often the highest level, nullifying the passive EXP benefit. On top of that, junglers often depend on having a significant level advantage, which an EXP Share will prevent you from obtaining. Running EXP Share on a jungler is basically like using one of your items slots to give yourself a nerf.
@@A-lik I think you got me wrong, i meant helping the jungler clearing its farm AS a support (so 2 pokemon in the jungle for the first clear, the jungler last hitting the buffs)
After watching, I used exp share for 5 games in Veteran rank solo queue. I lost every game. Switching back to normal items I won 3 games in a row. The truth is, match making will match higher ranked players with lower ranked players. If you are a lower ranked player, you’re not going to play exp share effectively. If you’re the higher ranked player, then you’re doing your team a disservice by staying under-leveled and leveling someone who’s just going to feed the enemy team.
More info: My teammates would either farm with me and then die a lot or they would not stick with me, and force me to play out of position or go in too deep. Also at one point I had 2 carry’s go to same lane which forced me to rotate top with the support, so we had 2 exp shares on the same lane, and our farming was a nightmare.
Dude what do you think of the new Sylveon skin/cost/gacha system? Also, I think there should be an exp share on both lanes for sure. It's literally a cheat code.
As a defender or supporter, I like gambling on whether or not my lane partner understands how to use this item. Sure it may still be a worse off item in solo que when your teammate is bad but I'd rather still use it then not. Knowing you will have bad teammates is just the solo que experience but I'd rather help a bad teammate learn what they should and shouldn't do through the communication wheel. I know the communication wheel in unite sucks and is abused but I genuinely try to help my teammates not jump in to a 1v4 on the enemy goal and it makes me sad when they ping me wondering why i didn't help/save them
I always run exp share Always just because I love max movement speed builds and im a troll. That being said there's always some return on the invested exp it might not be immediately but usually they figure it out Midway through the game
I played exp share sableye and we had our Umbreon going center for who God knows why, probably because I carriers wasn't goin, and the froakie in my Lane didn't use axp share at all and skip the bundbies, games like that cause me to have a 4 wins out of 20 in my last few matches because I was carrying as hoopa, the consequences of winning hard.. 😭
Played in all environments (tournaments, 5's solo/duo/trio), and at least in 5 stack/tournament areas I play 95% of the time as tank or support. I'm a Exp Share "truther" I keep it on unless I'm on a carry role, OR if i'm playing a tank and getting Exp Shared by a support or less damaging tank. I'm prob a bit too "mean" about it but I 100% do believe tank and support players who don't wear exp share are trolls and are making the game harder to win. It is in fact always correct because outside of following the "bad" DPS to their death (I'll help you but won't go with you into an unwinnable fight OR attempt to score). The idea is the bad player having more Exp means more levels, more stats, etc. which means they still contribute SLIGHTLY more than what they would otherwise. If my bad Cinderace is level 7 at 1st Regi's because of my exp share vs being level 5.5 or 6 because I didn't then that's better. A level 7 idiot does more dmg and burns more time for the team than a level 4 one does. I could rant a ton on this but I don't think it's needed, just this video is rad.
@@firewater1991 I mean I’m totally with you- I run it regardless bc I think it’s broken. But I think not wearing it makes sense even though it may be trolling, since everyone else is already (perceived to be) trolling harder
The real question is, antiheal. Is it necessary? Who needs to run it if it is needed? I run xp share and antiheal on half my tanks, though im well aware of what im missing out on, i notice not many people run it, then the community complains when an all rounder can 1v3 no problem.
Curse items imo are better on Pokémon with range and/or DoT against comps with lots of self sustain or healing, although not a necessity when your enemies don't fit the criteria

If you're trying to fill the defender/support role for your team, then 100% you need to play XP share. You can play defenders (and maybe some supports) without XP share. But that only makes sense if you are trying to fill another role. For example, spin Blastoise and curse/split Trev can both be played more as all-rounders. And by far the best loaf I've ever seen 😮
In my experience, playing tanks or supports is soloq is usually a very miserable time. Playing exp share on those tanks or supports just compounds the misery, more often than not. On paper, it's the best item in the game. But because matchmaking is so atrocious, it rarely feels worthwhile to play.
EXP Share is the equivalent to "Putting all my eggs into One Basket" Not only am I chancing getting 4 bad allies, you want me to also contribute less to the team and teamfights by not being able to directly impact fights?? You're not even taking account the fact that you want someone to use it alongside their Charging Charm, Float Stone, Sp. Atk. Specs 9Tales Choice Specs, Assault Vest, Focus Band Pikachu (Hybrid Rat??) SLICK SPOON, Resonant Guard, Buddy Barrier MAMOSWINE (2/3 are great) SLICK SPOON, Atk Weight, Muscle Band ZERAORA! TF! You say those aren't so bad?? Then explain EXP Share, Scope Lens... Shell bell... ABSOL! WHY! It only gets worse. Drain Crown, Curse Bangle, Charging Charm... GOODRA! ON M'F#$! GOODRA!!! Curse Bangle Won't Even WORK. Drain Crown will never Proc! And Charging Charm... it's based off of Atk which you'll have very little of with Goodra. I'd rather them run Choice Specs. At Least It Would FUNCTION! Shell Bell on Scissor. Slick Spoon on Decidueye. Choice Specs, Shell Bell, Charging Charm, on Mewscarada... Why do I play this game... Two ally pokemon running THE APPLE! Leftovers Leafeon and Mamoswine IN THE SAME GAME. My Focus Band, Weakness Policy, ROCKY HELM CINDERACE! WITH CINDERSAN IN THEIR NAME GIVING UP 4-5 Mins into the game because we're getting run over by Mimicku, Snorlax, Azumaril, Meowscarada, and I think Inteleon?? Then on top of that people are bad at farming. Putting on Exp share isn't an auto win button if you don't know how to farm. If you're not good with your rotations, timing, securing and not wasting time poking the enemy team on their goal while they're obviously Not dying. While 90% of the time there isn't a support on the team. Half the time no defender. Majority of the time it's 2-3 attackers/AllRounders/Speedsters which also complicates If i'm running a defender or not, because depending on who they choose and if they're all instalocks. I'm not front lining for that bs because half the time they never move from our side of the map, or if they do it's also while they're nearly dead trying to run at 3 people. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TANK" I'm also almost dead and we needed to pull back. "I HAD HIM" They're still above 70%... because you focus the wrong person or missed. EXP Share isn't the problem and I can't 100% blame people for running items on mon that can't utilize them. As it's obviously TIMI's fault for allowing them to use the items. On items that require a specific damage type to function I wish Timi wouldn't allow mons to wear them that can't use them. Even if those are the only 3 items you have. I'd rather you have nothing because If we run into an Umbreon with Foul Play, and you have ATK weight and other bs on Goodra or something and you're dying faster because of it?? No, Take it off. Stop using it. Then we also have mid taking lane farm and vice versa at the very beginning. If you're late to lane by a few seconds don't run into my jungle to steal all my farm. If you're mid, stop attacking my lane mons because half the time you last hit it and one of us don't end up level 3 and you go gank the opposite lane anyways. Allies prioritizing kills vs objectives and then dying all game. So EXP Share just goes to waste. I've won more than I lost games against enemy teams utilizing EXP Share. It's not a game changing item unless you're utilizing it properly.
I am a solo q support/ defender main, normally at 1600 master rank, i play tree, crustle, mime, wiggly, mamo, blissey the only two i would consider to not run exp on is mamo and crustle in a damage build which i almost never do, the statement that wearing exp will raise your win rate 5% is true i swea by it. if your teammates dont want to co-operate, follow them around and make it worth it, also something not mentoned, you can defend a goal sooo much better when you can rely on the bonus acive exp to catch you up after a fight, allowing you to defend lane properly when 95% of other players would have to retreat for exp and allow the other team to score, instead you can utilize your defense abilities soo much sooner.

Here's my opinion on when to run EXP Share (In Solo Queue):
Supporter: 100% Should (With Mr.Mime as a MAYBE)
Defender: Situational (Depends on if you trust your Team)
Also, Trio queues who run 3 Carries and no Support or Defender should be put in the timeout corner.
Oh heell naw
The last time i use exp share, i still have the most damage total and stole rayquaza.
😢😢😢
Never again
Edit: it was master 1300 game
I’d make an argument that Wiggly doesn’t need Exp share like Mime since he’s also a very aggro harasser kind of tank/support hybrid who really spends most of his time on enemies being annoying. I really like focus band, res guard, and cookie on Wigglytuff. At least I find success with this set, but exp is still a very good item on Wiggly. I just don’t think it’s 100% mandatory on him like it is on Blissey or Hoopa. Now when I play literally every other support, exp is mandatory. I love it on Clef!
That's a 10/10 loaf!!
Skibidi loaf
I never really understood what exactly exp share does (mathwise) since the ingame description is a little shallow. now I finally get it. It seems pretty OP tbh. I personally wouldn't run it on every defender or support. Tree for example. But I will definitely run it more often now.
@@KAKUN_DESU it’s a really darn good item. But yeah- it completely depends on your playstyle and your experience
If you play a trio in ranked and none of the three of you have an EXP Share on, the game should instantly deduct from your Fair Play Points at the end of the match regardless of the outcome.
@@A-lik LMAO I’m kinda with you
Quick correction regarding stored exp:
When obtaining active exp say in the clefairy/espeon example, the clefairy would gain 42 total exp because there was 70 stored exp which 21 of which was converted by gaining 21 active leaving the clefairy with 28 remaining EXP until evolution of which it was already stored exp (so another active experience gain of 14)
If there was only 50 stored exp, then the remaining stored exp would have been 8 stored exp in which case a gain of 14 afterwards would have been a total of 22 exp resulting in a need for 6 more exp needed additionally still after the 14 exp.

@@voguefurret the Helioptile metaphor really drove your point home. Amazing work
As a support defender main, Ive had people get on mic and yell at me for taking farm... with exp share on.
During ttar meta I was playing exp clefable in soloq and my ttar got on mic to yell at me for hitting the same farm as him so I try to tell him I have exp share on to help and he yells at me more saying he doesn't care, getting to late game he yells at me again for no not healing him when a sec ago he told me to leave him alone 😭
It didn't help that he was using a speed build on ttar and nun of his teammates can keep up with him rushing into a 1v4
Stuff like this really discourage me to have exp share on or to even play supporters
I've had that happen a lot too. I've lost a lot of games because my laner will straight up AFK on the way up the lane with the bunnies because I hit each of the first two with them. It's quite silly. I still use it anyway now though.

I am sick of only having 2 items while everybody else gets a has 3

very informative video ty
do you have any information concerning helping your jungler to clear its farm as a exp share holder ? is it a viable clear ?
Unless you're running EXP Share on a non Defender/Supporter AND it turns out everyone on your team is literally a crayon-eating toddler, EXP Share Jungler is NEVER viable. Junglers often farm alone, nullifying the 130% bonus EXP benefit, and junglers are often the highest level, nullifying the passive EXP benefit. On top of that, junglers often depend on having a significant level advantage, which an EXP Share will prevent you from obtaining.
Running EXP Share on a jungler is basically like using one of your items slots to give yourself a nerf.
@@loulonlou1354 in a duo or trio I think there’s a strat there, depends on your playstyle and if the empty lane knows what to do with it
@@A-lik I think you got me wrong, i meant helping the jungler clearing its farm AS a support (so 2 pokemon in the jungle for the first clear, the jungler last hitting the buffs)
My brain 😵💫
Exp. Share supremacy
@@smoothsinger422 gacha system bad
As a defender or supporter, I like gambling on whether or not my lane partner understands how to use this item. Sure it may still be a worse off item in solo que when your teammate is bad but I'd rather still use it then not. Knowing you will have bad teammates is just the solo que experience but I'd rather help a bad teammate learn what they should and shouldn't do through the communication wheel.
I know the communication wheel in unite sucks and is abused but I genuinely try to help my teammates not jump in to a 1v4 on the enemy goal and it makes me sad when they ping me wondering why i didn't help/save them

Skibidi

OH. :)
If you're trying to fill the defender/support role for your team, then 100% you need to play XP share.
You can play defenders (and maybe some supports) without XP share. But that only makes sense if you are trying to fill another role. For example, spin Blastoise and curse/split Trev can both be played more as all-rounders.
And by far the best loaf I've ever seen 😮
your kitties are so cute 🥰
In my experience, playing tanks or supports is soloq is usually a very miserable time. Playing exp share on those tanks or supports just compounds the misery, more often than not.
On paper, it's the best item in the game. But because matchmaking is so atrocious, it rarely feels worthwhile to play.
EXP Share is the equivalent to "Putting all my eggs into One Basket"
Not only am I chancing getting 4 bad allies, you want me to also contribute less to the team and teamfights by not being able to directly impact fights??
You're not even taking account the fact that you want someone to use it alongside their Charging Charm, Float Stone, Sp. Atk. Specs 9Tales
Choice Specs, Assault Vest, Focus Band Pikachu (Hybrid Rat??)
SLICK SPOON, Resonant Guard, Buddy Barrier MAMOSWINE (2/3 are great)
SLICK SPOON, Atk Weight, Muscle Band ZERAORA! TF! (2/3 are great)

don't get me started on my 4 other Attackers as I'm going Mid Speedster.
Oh.
