The car filmed here is a 2021 model (with the 2021 exclusive "Lunar Rock" color). Here are some upgrades the 2023 model features that this older 2021 doesn't have:
    - LED low beams
    - Blind spot monitoring
    - Rear cross traffic alert
    - Heated steering wheel
    - Turn signal side marker lights
The 2023 TRD Pro exclusive color is "Solar Octane Orange".

Great video and review! I almost bought a 23 Trd off road but decided to hold off and wait for the new redesign with the hybrid 4/turbo! I think it will be a game changer and much better fuel economy

Pretty good dealership, none are perfect. Bought an ORP from them four years ago at below list, no hassle. Wouldn’t take my truck anywhere else for service either. Your experience may differ. 👍🤪🏳️‍🌈

This is not a 2023 - Lunar Rock is not the 2023 TRD Pro exclusive color, that was 2021. But hey - great video, though. I have a 2022 TRD ORP in Lunar Rock.

I was going to say the same thing, that this was not a 2023 TRD PRO. Great video though.

    Not a 2023

The TRD Pro had no changes from 2021 except for a custom paint color in 2023.

@rohitkarthik incorrect. Low beams were changed to led.

@@rohitkarthik Yes, it did, in 22 it received multi terrain monitor or 360 cameras, it also received led lights as standard. It also received blind spot monitoring and rear crosstraffic alert. For 2023 it received heated steering wheel, and side marker lights for turn signals. This is for TRD PRO models. And this truck is a 2021 specific model NOT 2023, very misleading as you could have people looking for this vehicle color and it isnt availble in 2023 for the TRD Pro and this color vehicle lacks the aforementioned options.

Instead of "no changes", I should have indicated these changes between 2021 and 2023. I had omitted these small upgrades to keep the video length shortened. Thanks for mentioning them. I have added a pinned comment outlining these changes.

But that thing looks old and dated. And it's slow and handles like a Loaf of bread on roller skates.

The car's body-on-frame platform means it looks different than its unibody rivals, and it also means it's way more capable off-road. That's really why people buy these things, for the capability and durability combined with the peace of mind you get with the dependable powertrain.

Dude, you say 'old school' once too many times in your vid. Go back and edit your otherwise decent evaluation of the 4runner.

“Bulletproof” and “Future proof”: Two of the most overused, meaningless terms to describe ones’s recent purchase when sharing their experience on social media as a means to boost and reassure themselves that they spent their money wisely, coupled with the need for the extra endorphins rush to their brains when counting the number of “likes” to their video/ message.

😀 I'm not meaning it literally here. Just using it as a metaphor as this TRD Pro's 4.0L V6 powertrain has been one of the most reliable in the industry. Also, I do not own this car; I borrowed it from a local dealership for this video.
