This is twice now you had the best instructional trick videos on youtube, the first one for me was the no comply 180. You break down the ticks better than anyone else.
Love this video so much! I learned how to nose stall, nose stall 180 kick turn, and I’m working on the nose stall body variant now. Thank you so much for the help!!!
I lost a pair of shoes while learing nose stall/nose slide because I kept dragging my front-foot suuuper hard to the nose and it caused a hole in the sole of my shoe. I recommend people to give a little "jump" to move their feet (if they fell confort to do so), otherwise I strong recommend using a old pair of shoes you won`t mind losing.
know this is an older video. but you make some of my favorite skate tutorials. you explain things so well and calmly. lots of thought put into your videos. thanks for giving us tips. i appreciate you! been trying to nose stall since yesterday haha i get on okay but struggle to hold that balance. and not being able to hold it!
A tip that helped me with nose stalls: really imagine that you have to step the curb/box while lifting your back-foot weight. If you do so, the skate will follow your movement and you minimize the chances of over lifting the nose. When you think too much about the skate it`s almost automatic to lift your front-foot too much.
Ah thank you! I wish I did. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to consistently go to parks to learn my self. But, I’ll definitely be making one as soon as I can 💪
Videos apparently I never watched back in the day. I love all the variations at the end, that body varial and, uhh.... When you jam your nose in at a 45 then sorta turn 90 and come out fakie. Defs on the list :D
Woow, cause I keep jumping off the curb into the grass, and I must say I love your channel am a skater from Nigeria, our skate culture is poor, thanks for putting us thru
I’m trying to learn this. It’s so refreshing and empowering to see someone who looks like me skating like this, it makes me feel I can do it too! I love your videos!
I started learning switch with tic tacs. I would ride regular and then pivot to fakie. I’d adjust my feet to be in switch and do tic tacs right there. So, I was comfortable with tic tacs before I even tried to push switch. It worked pretty well for me. If you’re talking about other tricks, I started adding switch tricks in a few months ago. I would do the trick regular three times and then try to so it switch three times. This method helped me a lot. My switch shove it and ollie have gotten much better. 😃
Do you have an instagram I could follow? I'm a 35-year old mom trying to re-learn how to skateboard after almost 20 years and your tutorials and teaching style are better than any other videos I've seen on TH-cam! Right now I'm still in the phase of just getting comfortable on my board. If you're looking for video ideas it'd be great to have a 10-week recommended routine to follow (similar to a workout plan) so I can feel like I have something to follow along with. I have two kids so I'm pretty much limited to an hour a day if I'm lucky, but I'm having so much fun in my one hour and it really gives me hope that by the time my oldest is old enough to actually be able to safely skateboard (he's almost 3 now) I'll be good enough to teach him properly.
That's awesome! Both that you're getting back into skating and that you want to be able to teach your son. I do have an instagram @sparkmatott There are links to it in my newer videos if it's easier to click one of those! And that is definitely an idea I've been playing with. I'm kind of working through a way to approach skating from the beginning, but that will take a bit! My list of videos to make is getting really long. Right now, I would definitely recommend looking into a little freestyle skateboarding footwork. Freestyle has a ton of tricks you can start learning early on in skating after you feel good riding on flat ground. Slow monterwalks, slow endovers, tail stop shuffle, switchblade and walk the dogs. These are all footwork that don't even require jumping (except the switchblade does have a hop). And they got me to improve my comfort on the board very quickly without just rolling around. It's like a nice medium between rolling and scary tricks. I would point you over to Mike Osterman here on TH-cam too for this. He has some great tutorials for beginner footwork. And I'll put "10 week skate starter program" in my notes to think through! :D
spent 30 mins skating a ledge with friends at the skatepark yesterday and we where just doing slappy stall variations just silly dumb stuff body virial's leg wrap around boneless to tail to shove to tail was so funny we where just making silly tricks up :D could not stop laughing was one most fun skate i had in years just doing slappy stalls on a ledge i think the fun of just creating and not playing by rules just doing anything for a joke is skating though and though
I would practice the tail stop shuffle on the ground. Mike Osterman has quick a tutorial for it here (last trick I think he calls it a switch foot here) th-cam.com/video/uO1cw7Vfr-8/w-d-xo.html But, basicaly getting used to be able to do that motion in tail stop. Being able to lead the trick with your shoulders. That will make working up to a body varial here totally doable.
I only realize now how creative skateboarding can be. No matter how small the trick you can add variation to it. Thank you for the content!

Thank you! Obviously really happy the effort going into the videos is being well received 😃🙏 Glad you’re enjoying the tutorials!
This is the calmest skate tutorial iv seen. I love it.
Great tips! Gonna try them in my next session. Haven't been able yet to do proper nose stalls; I was just missing some of the details.
triple nineteen I’m sure you’ll get them!🤗 I love this trick! It’s so fun. I look forward to seeing them!

You teach tricks in the most thoughtful and gentle way. I appreciate that!!
ah thank you! :D
Nice! Thanks for the tips. Props for using safety gear.

Glad you like the tutorials though 😃 It’s a little awkward at first for sure!! you’ll get better and better 💪
Another great lesson....thanks
Everytime I think of another video that would be good, TH-cam recommends me a video of yours that already exists and has all the info I wanted
haha yay for the algorithm actually being helpful :D

After your last session, you definitely got it! 💪
For the Ollie nose stall, do you need to know how to Ollie properly
Not properly 😂 I did ollie nose stalls straight on before I could do the ollie itself well. 🤔
Woow, cause I keep jumping off the curb into the grass, and I must say I love your channel am a skater from Nigeria, our skate culture is poor, thanks for putting us thru
I would always come for clarifications if you don’t mind
@@klentmaidas I’m always happen to help whenever I can 😃
Thanks again I've been trying but keep flying forward I've noticed my front foot position is wrong after watching this video
Tinormous -road2gains I’m sure you’ll get it!!😄👊. I hope to see it!
So you basically do a small manual and then shift your weight to the nose?
That is kind of...exactly it. 😃You just want to time lifting up the nose right onto the ledge💪 it is like a mini manual lol
@@SarahParkMatott I can do a mini-manual so I will try this 😃
What shin protection are you using?
I found these on the decomposed skateboards website. Not sure if they're available anymore, but were called fit guy skate I think
I’m trying to learn this. It’s so refreshing and empowering to see someone who looks like me skating like this, it makes me feel I can do it too! I love your videos!
ah! You definitely can skate like this 💪 and thank you! Stoked you enjoy them 🙏
Great tutor
Thank you! 😃🙏
