In defense of Robert Mason...met him in the 90's when he came out to see our band in a club while on tour with Ozzy, like '95. He was the coolest, most gracious dude, hung out with us after the show in the band house and talked music for hours (along with Mike Inez). I saw him with Lynch Mob live also when they co-headlined with Warrant, and he sounded great then and now, always a killer stage presence, a front man who knows how to front and entertain but still hits the notes, even late in his career. Many singers his age are now completely mailing it in (we all know who), but he's keeping his body and voice in shape and still working and giving fans their money's worth. Yelling the set? If you didn't notice, Jani did a lot of yelling/growling in their songs, along with great singing, with some really hard-to-reach high register stuff that most singers can't touch, even in their prime! Robert's getting it done, even if, agreed, the band is a shadow of its former self without Jani especially. Check out The End Machine, first two albums with Robert and George Lynch to hear him singing his own stuff fairly recently. I was disappointed when they went on without him! Keep rockin', Robert!
discovered them after they had broken up in 1994, and played the crap out of the first three albums. got ultraphobic and belly to belly on release days...huge fan. have tried for a long time to keep up with robert mason. he is an incredible performer, and he is clearly in with the guys as brothers...but mason as the singer in warrant just doesn't click for me. at this point, they will never do anything else, as this is the best gig for all of them. but now with no jerry, jani gone, and the nostalgia not there without them...this offers me very little. it is by no means bad at all. this is a solid performance and the guys sound great...but its missing a lot.
I don’t know. Respect that he’s made a living in music for over 30 years, but listen to this with headphones on……he’s not singing the set, he’s basically yelling the set.

Dude can sing but he just doesn't have that feeling and groove Jani had...

He's got a voice like cj snare of fire house
These guys still need day jobs, so I feel bad for them for that on top of making a joke of the band name as this cover sheetshow
But CJ was better
just a sad (cover/tribute) band using the name to make money.rip jani lane!!!
