I purchased another Areca palm from you folks, and it just arrived yesterday. Beautiful! It's like a bit of early spring in a corner of my living room in the middle of January.
This is a palm that I THOUGHT was a "Parlor palm". I am wondering IF I could overwinter this palm in my greenhouse. I have a setup to where my greenhouse will stay as warm as 39F. IF I had to heat it more, I would NOT Be able to shut the heat source off.
Is it alright to trim off the brown tips on the areca? Will the leaf continue to grow from the point where the cut was made?. Should it be cut slanted? Appreciate your advice
Had three mature beautiful arecas outside my pool enclosure in Central Florida for many years. They were thriving but my HOA cut them completely down to nothing but stumps due to them being planted closer to the fence and retaining wall. Want to start over and plant another larger three closer to our enclosure instead. They are gorgeous
Would love to see. Send us a Pic back on here for Plantz. In my opinion. The Areca Palm makes a better, and more controllable Plant Wall than the Bamboo Palm Plus, They Just Look Marvelous. www.plantz.com/product/areca-palm/

a tip : you can watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Alden Ezra yea, I've been watching on flixzone for months myself :)
Wow great video!! Right to the point. Now I will be on the lookout for the yellows. We just planted these today and it looks beautiful 🤩
Glad it was helpful! How are the plants doing?
Areka palms are one of the best plants for absorbing CO2 and producing oxygen

Take it nice and deep?? Hold up there
Good advice, thank you 🙏🏾
I love this plant
the pot is very small, you should have told more about food you give to plant other than water.
It likes being root bound, repot every 2-3 years

I cut mine there. It typically stops browning, but doesn't grow out green again
I cut out the brown and it looks great for while and I just keep doing that until it’s time to cut the entire stem on that. Works for all palms I have
What a beauty
Thanks
