Great video dublin has on average 65 flight movements between 11pm and 7am 😂 but that's permitted, I live on the flight path and can get very irritating at night, as for the alcohol as an extra I never have an issue as anytime I travel with delta or ba across the Atlantic it's about 250 euro more than aer lingus and the price of a few cans still save money 😅
Just flew to Heathrow and back to Toronto via Dublin. First time flying. I was very happy with everything except seat size which is probably same for all airlines. Would fly with them again :)
We had a very similar experience flying from YYZ to LBA via Dublin last September. Got to the airport and was informed the Aer Lingus A330 was out of commission and the flight was now being flown by Wamos Air. We were then allotted different seats than we had pre paid for and at different locations around the cabin. Also the Wamos A330 didn't have the two four two seating configuration but a three three three, squeezing an extra seat in the width of the cabin, very uncomfortable. The crew however were pleasant. The journey back from Dublin was exactly as your experience in this video. Overall we were very disappointed with Aer Lingus.
"Disappointed" was originally going to be the wording on the thumbnail. It wasn't a terrible experience, it was simply disappointing. None of the crew smiled, they were great with service etc, but i am so use to seeing smiles
Whenever I have flown Aer Lingus I have found the crew very pleasant. Disappointing that you had such a poor trip with them in that way and yikes for the lack of life jacket!
It was just simply disappointing, the first flight and service was great, but without a smile. the return flight with missing life vest, damaged seat etc wasn't good.
Music is very overpowering & loud. Needs to be turned down. Also there is no statutory ‘neighbourhood’ noise limits or night time curfew in the Republic of Ireland at present. Aer Lingus isn’t a national airline since it was sold to British/Spanish IAG in 2015.
I’ve never flown across the pond, but you’d think the food/drink would be better. Flown to Halifax from YYZ on Porter this spring, and we got a choice of snack and a choice of drink free. The drink included beer or wine! 🍷
My previous flight with KLM, I thought the food was decent. Chicken curry ok, though i did forget to mention one thing, the desert on the return was good, a lovely moose with white chocolate.
I flew with Aerlings to San Francisco we got free beer and wine did you ask the crew about wine or beer? sometimes they dont show you but they have it you should always ask lol!
@@NigelHaybefore they were serving wine and beer only what a shame Aerlingus is not known for service even in 80s they were charging for snack on european flights
8:46 that aircraft you where on used to Belong for Qatar Airways which you can see on the back, thankfully you were not on EIL or EIK a year ago as thses aircraft was a nightmare. Also welcome to my home airport!
@@NigelHay I have not flown on it but I've seen a lot of negatives reviews, both aircraft used to belong to Qatar Airways until 4-3 years ago and instead of changing all the seats and furnishings properly they just installed there IFE, covers and that's it, they didn't even bother fixing all the issues leaving seats falling apart and if you are at a window seat in Economy there is a box which takes up like a half of the space under the seat therefore significantly reduces legroom they also have no WiFi Which also reduces comfort. thankfully this year they finally give the aircraft a refurbished by removing the Qatar business class and all the economy seats and replaced them with there own business and Economy seats, they also finally added WiFi on board which is a big plus. I will say that they are now much much better than before.
Why do Americans and Canadians feel that when provided a service the server needs to smile? I noticed it only in North America they complain about why the server is not smiling. The reason waiting staff smiled in the old day was to get a better tip because the establishment paid so poorly and it was mostly blacks that was forced to smile. Learn your history people. As long as your provided with what you asked for your good to go. The server smiling will not change the out come of your meal. As the Europeans would say we are not friends no need to smile at you. Being pleasant is all that’s required.
This is a shocking video. You seem to nit pick everything. Also if you read up on Dublin airport noise at night. It’s limited to 65 movements. Aer lingus have a handful of flights in around 5am. So they aren’t breaking it. Maybe get your facts straight first and don’t belief what magazines say.
Very surprised at that review. I have flown with Aer Lingus over a hundred times and always found them to be excellent.
Ive flown by aerlingus and i never had a problem😊

Did this flight last summer, grabbing a Guinness on the way home was brilliant!!
Great flight on the way to Dublin, just not as good heading home
Maybe if I had the 2nd Guinness at DUB it may of been better

maybe next time skip that annoying music
It was Irish, you have to drop in some irish music for an irish video. Dually noted
Agree

A330-200 Was in put into storage in Spain 2018 only took it out couple months ago
Thanks for that Info. I wonder how many other seats were missing the life vest?
You’d think they’d have polished it up abit since was in storage from 2018- I’m sick of aerlingus tbh , they seem to be IAG black sheep of the family
Nice TR. Thanks for taking us along. Like 42 from your newest friend👍❤️
Thank you, I appreciate that.
The music was doing my head in watching the video. 😅

They made an announcement that all alcohol can be purchased and is not complimentary.

When life gives you a bad sandwich....keep clocking up those airmiles.
I don't collect airlines. I have a few points with Delta and KLM, probably enough to get me from the gate to the runway

they both got a cabin refresh

@@DeanFlanagan-gj8cv I've seen it and it's a much much better that before.
what's the story behind the nightmare? very curious.

No alcohol Rubbish food. Aircraft that should have been sent to Victorville years ago. Not even a pint of "Liffey water". Ireland should be proud.

Don't believe what the media publish, ok
Are really just a moaning ogar🙄
You are lucky you made breakfast the other day. You should have been in the insane asylum still since you didn’t have an air vent on way home 😮😂
It was freaking me out a bit at the beginning, the Cabin was a little warm,
Brilliant video Noel Philips needs to watch out 😂
I'll take that compliment. wish i had more money and time to do these. I'm currently looking for the best price for my next overseas trip.
That aircraft is a clapped out piece of junk.....
Irish here and yes the national airline is shit.
So I'm not the only one that's disappointed by them.
