My husband was in ICU last year today. This is what he wanted me to play at his funeral. One year later today, I am still with him and he made it. He best adds. Today, we listed together and thanked everything what happened.

I started reading the comments in this section and I just started to slowly cry. I was a kid in the 90s... we weren't as happy as they were in the earlier decades.. but we were still happy. There isn't enough love in this world anymore. It hit me out of no where. I hope whoever is reading this is happy, at least for these 4 minutes.

If everyone would be so blessed to have someone that this song reminded them of,the world would be a freaking beautiful magical mysterious place. Well it is and always will be but when you're with that person you can't stand to be away from it's all that much better. ✌❤

Definitely nostalgic listening to this song. I think being a kid in any part of 2020 is much harder than the 90's and earlier 2000's though now that technology is so mixed in with everything.

We've seen them multiple times. They are awesome live. Saw their 20th anniversary tour for crash.
We by far got the best play list for our concert (if you haven't seen them they do a different play list every show)
They played ALL of the greats including those from under the table & dreaming. Our was a damned good concert. *except* two step. Although we did get to hear it since as an acoustic version one summer when they had a double show.
They closed with Repunzule at all 3 we've been to. I hate that song.

The 90's was the last decade where we had our privacy. Cell phones didn't really become commonplace until the very late 90's and they pretty much just made phone calls and texts. The internet was young, so you couldn't do much on it. Social media was practically non-existent and it certainly couldn't disrupt your life.
I honestly feel sorry for young people who never knew what life was like before all this technology. It was nice and sometimes I really miss it. Oh, and the music was much better then, too.

I was at work the other day and couldn't stop thinking about my little younger brothers. I moved away from my mom and dad's house a few years ago and my little brother's are still there. They used to say: "I'm the king of the castle and your a dirty rascal" singing the lyrics of this song. I immediately thought of this song and how they sang it. It reminded me of when they were small kids and how they used to play and use their imagination to dream up the best happy things. I can only imagine the places their imagination took them. It was a beautiful time, seeing my little brothers happy and young. This song is so melancholy and nostalgic for me. It reminds of when my younger family members were in their absolute innocence and happines. I wish I could go back in time and share that careless happines and imagination with them. I wish I could go dream with them. But that is impossible. I am now a grown father and realize the importance of childhood and how important the small moments are and how we must indulge in our those dreams with our kids/young family. Those moments are actually the most important times. I would love to go back in time and enjoy that time with my young siblings. In hindsight I never knew that my young siblings would soon make me feel the way my son makes feel, like a parent to them. I always thought they would seem like my younger siblings, but my love and memories has evolved in to something more complex and parent like. Its amazing actually...Anyway, they are nearly teenagers now and the time has gone by so fast. I miss them and I miss their childhood.

I'm with you on that. Back when they were new, they got so overplayed (at least by my band mates) I couldn't stand DMB. Now, I can appreciate how talented and eccentric they were. I still don't like all of their music, but this one is definitely a winner.

This song used to make me almost cry when I was a kid, just listening to it. It's so powerful, somber, plays a melodic tune and between the bass line and Dave's voice in this song, it is just unforgettable. To me, this is his most memorable song, by far. When you think of Dave Matthews- 1. Crash Into Me 2. Where Are You Going and 3. Ants Marching come to mind really quick. Brilliant and wonderful sounding band.

Born in ‘74 and I lived and enjoyed the ‘90s era. Wish we could return to that time of those 10 years from 1990-1999. A more simple time. A time where songs like this were made.

Happy 20th anniversary to Dave Matthew's Band Signature Single.
Somewhere out there, LeRoi Moore smiles down and plays through the spring winds as this song reminds him how grateful and content it was to play one of mainstream's most recognizable jazz fusion bands of all time.
    Rest in Peace, brother.
See you soon in the afterlife.

Dang it. Every time i rediscover this song i start the nostalgia again. I just want to rewind again and make all kinds of different decisions. Im 43 and i still wish i could go back and be with my first love every time i hear this damn song. It was magic then and it still feels magical now. I know that's just life. Life is joy and pain. I thank goodness for DMB for punctuating this period of joy and pain in my life so beautifully.

So much of my childhood, teenage, and 20s had dmb as the soundtrack of my life. Funny how different songs spark different memories.
