This is a wonderful portrait of Jamie and Brianna bonding, he barely looks old enough to be her father, a very handsome man indeed, with a very beautiful daughter, Diana made a good choice pairing them I believe! What a fantastic legacy for years to come, thank you 🙏 for sharing and keeping ‘Outlander’ alive. 🥀.
Hello, I've seen quite a handful of your likes and comments on my post and I just wanna go out of my way to appreciate those people whose comments and good wishes encourages me.❤️🙏
Jamie: You can call me Da... Brianna : Is that Gaelic? Jamie: No..it's only...it's only simple. THAT GOT ME! Anyone else gets teary-eyed at that part haha. Da, it's simple but with so much meaning!
I love the symbolism with the bees. Like them Jaime and Brianna are dispossessed of the place they call home, but since they can't go back they must be "content in their new home" and carry on with their lives regardless.
I never thought that Jamie and Bree bonded very good. They never got that father-daughter relationship, not even in season 5 when they had lived together at Fraser´s Ridge for a kinda long time. They have not even hug each other. And when they talk to each other, it's like they are strangers to each other (again, still in season 5 when they had lived together for a kinda long time). It always seems like Bree hate Jamie (Tho not the other way around, Jamie do seem to love Bree). And it got even worse when Bree got married to Roger. In my opinion they have had 3 good father-daughter scenes together. First one was their first encounter. The second scene is when Bree is upset because she did not fight back against her attacker (Bonnet), and Jamie is pretending to attack her, and saying he can break her neck easy, just to show her that it's not always easy to fight back. The third scene is when they are sitting in the kitchen and talking, because they think that Bree will go back thru the stones. And Jamie is telling Bree about his son Willie. (Tho again, they should have given each other a hug in that scene in my opinion!).
i agree 100% They definitely didn't bond well. I don't even think she bonds well with Roger to be honest. No where near as natural and intense as Claire and Jamie !!! I hope in season 6 they include more Claire and Jamie intimate/romance/pillow talk scenes. Definitely missed it in season 5 !
I feel like that's the writer's fault. They don't give them scenes or dialogue together often enough for the audience to see the bond forming. It reminds me of Boy Meets World with Shawn and Jack. The writers made it seem like they were going to start to form that bond, but then every other chance, they have Shawn say "I have no family." It's frustrating to the viewers
No lies here even the bonding scenes you mentioned usually seem forced and unnatural in my opinion. Although anyone can see Jamie really cares for his daughter but Bree's character often puts me off. It's as if she doesn't even regard him as family most of the time.

@Sheila Chaudhuri I don’t know for sure. Last I heard was that they’re still shooting season 6 (late because of covid19) and that it’d be released early sometime next year. 😭 c

Diana wrote so many wonderful complex characters, but for some reason Brianna always felt two-dimensional or..I don't know, just not very well written. And her relationship with Jamie was also never given much depth. Brianna just comes over as stand-offish, cold, rude and resentful of both Claire and Jamie. It almost makes me wish they would have let Frank live and Brianna would have stayed with him.

I mean who wouldn't? Even though Frank wasn't her biological father, he was the one that raised her. For a child that's far more important than genes. And tbh you have to get used to Jamie and the time he lives in.

I know she always had a better bond with Frank
The writers seem to want to cut the father/ daughter bonding scenes. Bri had more bonding scenes with Lord John Gray.🤔🙄

Jamie: You can call me Da.
Brianna : Is that Gaelic?
Jamie: No it's Yes in russian.
So Jamie was able to meet his daughter. It's a pity he had the opportunity to meet her when she was a child.
Love this scene, one of my favourites
Can we get a father like these

I am also curious when the 6th season will be their further fate .....
Me too. Any idea of the release date?

I am still in Outlander but from these scenes I can see it
that's the directors or the actress' fault.... she is totally different in the books and way more interesting!

Cannot wait for book nine. Should have been out at beginning of the year.

Brianna loves Frank more than Jamie 😔😠

In this scene she hardly even knows Jamie yet. Later she loves them both, but Frank is the father she grew up with.
well... duh
She probably loves them both equally but differently. Frank as a father bc he raised her and Jamie as idk
come on! He looks too much young for being her father!!!
