- Only my second time at the ring. I'm sure my line is off in plenty of places and I have lots to learn - nevertheless the car performed great and it was a bucket load of fun.
I think this lap given some traffic was about a 8.40 - Harry's Laptimer said a I had a calculated best time of 8.30 which I was quite happy with.

Yeah a good vid this guy gave the 328i a good spanking respect..manual gear box its all analogue and driver.dash board needels no digital display man and machine love it.
I also had e46 328i and I'm dreaming to drive it on "Ring" but I'm long way from it with home... Great lap,wild driveing,great control,on a few corners you push it over the limit I saw that,be careful,you know what 328i can do,it's a monster 😊💪💪💪

Very nice ! That's a good example showing that you don't need a lot of power to have fun on the Nordschleife ! if you manage to keep the momentum you will have a lot of fun and even achieve good lap times :)

Good effort in a mostly stock bmw. Once had a 330ci. These cars are great value for the money and very underated, I think.
could be a bit lighter, but yeah. gonna go with one too, drove an 328 46 once for a few minutes and instantly fell in love. the engine note is so cool
@@erraldstyler I bought my E46 328Ci stick shift 2 months ago and I am super happy with it! Has about 160.000km on the clock (1999 model year) and has very little issues regarding its age. It is lowered and has an antirollbar in the front, handles very well and if the gears are used correctly it it very quick. I can only recommend that car but be careful, there are alot of lemons out there^^
@@ravaz58 it means that the car looks good on the outside but is crap on the inside. like a lemon. looks sweet from the outside but is sour on the inside
bravo nice drive and balanced setup, i whish one day i'll make it to the ring, one of the few circuit that seem not to require big brakes

Schönes Projekt. Wir haben ein ganz ähnliches. Allerdings mit nem Alfa 166 3,0 V6. Auch keine Kurven sau, aber Spaß macht er dennoch. Wir waren zu geizig für ein KW Fahrwerk und haben ein Bilstein B8 verbaut. Mit Eibach Federn. Wir haben Serie ne Brembo 4 Kolben Bremse drin und auf Stahlflex umgebaut. Reifen fahren wir auch Cup 2 , wobei die schon einige Runden gesehen haben.
Innenraum haben wir bis auf Hosenträgergurte so gelassen. Da wir auch auf eig. Achse anne Schleife fahren (500km / Strecke) und den auch teilweise als Familienkutsche nutzen.
Sind sehr zufrieden und 50 Runden in drei Jahren hat er schon auf der Schleife überstanden.
Jetzt zu deinem Video, ich möchte hier nicht als Oberlehrer auftreten, aber ein paar Sachen sahen ganz schön wild aus, zumindest auf dem Video.
Den ersten Motoradfahrer hast du innen in der Kurve überholt? Hat er dir Platz gemacht? Sah aus, als ob du dich da ganz schön vorbei quetschst.
Dem roten Toyota ( Jaris glaube ich) sitzt du auch ganz schön auf der Pelle. Da es ja kein Rennen ist, fände ich da etwas Zurückhaltung auch angebracht.
Aber das ist nur meine Meinung. Live im Auto sieht das ja immer etwas anders aus.
Ansonsten cooles Projekt und schön Low Budget, ähnlich wie bei uns.

Echt interessant wie dein Ringtool entsteht 👌🏼 Bin absoluter BMW Fan und fahre selber einen E46 M3 aber mit sowas würde ich auch gerne mal starten wollen Learning by doing ✌🏼 einfach klasse, weiter so 👌🏼
aber bitte nicht mit dem M3 starten, würde lieber auch zu einem 328i oder 323i tendieren. ist auch Budgettechnisch besser ;)
Sweet e46 handles well good driver skills equalls a fast machine 1999 328i all analouge what a sweet spot bmw created the e46 feels like a grown up e30 and thats saying something.when you drive a car that feels like a machine you have found something special ok. My 328i 5 speed has dash board needles love them lever seats not electric not heated plain steering wheel no buttons no sun roof but this bmw has sole it feels like a modern classic.

Casually walks a race bike & an r32 skyline @5mins that some serious skills for an 17yo car love bmw and deffo the e46 👌 driver has some skills to its easy to talk big on youtube but the way the guy is cornering maybe 5% on comments could do this

You should rebuild the Vanos for more lower end torque. You can see vids of my old 328i.

I just bought an stock E46 325i recently, and I want to know how other E46's steering feels,is E46's steering was heavier under 10mph or just my steering was trashed?
I barely single handed the steering wheels when I was in parking lot.
I had 2 e39 and an e46 318i and I can tell you that BMW steering feeling is quite heavier than others cars I tried, I would say that it's a solid steering

@@user-uk4bo2es8o Your steering servo might be bad. I have an e36 and i would say that the steering is a lot heavier than modern cars but still not as heavy as you describe yours to be.

depends on what you are used to. cars nowadays have electrical steering, witch has no connection to the axle, its basicly like controlling a game-console.
the mighty E46 dosen´t have that, what makes it harder to steer specialy at low speeds, but you feel more of the road an what the car is doing.
Guess you need more power ;)

@Zombie Head It's a M52B28.. Maybe 210-215 hp, if youre lucky..

Ich würde dir aber empfehlen anders zu schalten wenn du in den 2. Gehst.... Mit der Haltung besteht das Risiko dich zu verschalten.
Pack den Schaltknauf recht und zieh den zu dir und nicht wie in dem Video.
So schalte ich in den 6. Beim e92 m3
