I agree with most of the comments on here Matt a very good channel to watch, very easy and relaxing , not stupid gimmicks no crazy music or false acting or playing to the camera, even your video here was to the point went to a show , showed all of us what we wanted to see and gave your own opinion this is why your channel is doing well , iv unsubscribed to a lot of channels recently cos it's all very catch bait stuff ,but you and a few other honest bike Channels on here are the ones I like to watch , you do it exactly how I would like my Chanel if I wasn't so lazy haha .anyway congratulations mate on the numbers keep up the good work
Thanks mate, I think a lot of it on YT is luck; sometimes the algorithm Lords choose to push a channel, sometimes not. Thanks for the compliment though, I appreciate your thoughts on the channel, it's good to know doing something right with it 👍🏻
Wow 30 k subs well done ,your obviously doing something right Mat .As some have pointed out no shouting and histrionics goes a long way with the more mature british viewer couple that with beautiful cinematography, keep doing what your doing Mat 👍
Thanks Kev, while I’m not out fishing for compliments it’s always nice to hear that folk like yourself enjoy my videos, gives me the drive to carry on 👍
All good Matt. Glad we both got to see some new classic styled modern machines. Very interesting. RE has really turned up their fit and finish game. Others as well. Yes the Icon series Triumphs look great as do several other units they sell. Others are just wishes and dreams in the USA. We will never get them and others may not even be produced in numbers. Next time. Glad to see you out and about. Arrange some long term test rides if possible. Give it your best shot. From east Kentucky USA be safe
Sam, I'm going to do my best, not being a motorcycle 'journalist' though it seems you don't get your name on the guest list for a lot of things. But I'll keep trying!
@ClassicRides numbers game when you get about 100k subs they will look a lot harder maybe only 50k. If you could get a few articles published or do some photo shoots with say the importer it would help. I had for years credentials with BMW for all major events international. My editor really helped out in that regard. So a link to someone really helps.Go to RE importers and talk to them. Show them some work and channel links. It won't hurt at all.
Yep I was there loved the new 650 Classic, in fact so much I’ve put my deposit down with my local dealer for one pre order. Unfortunately it will have to share the garage with my BMW K1600 b. Contrast or what. Love the vids keep them coming.
Your channel has 30k subscribers because of the exceptional quality of the content you produce, I'm sure the relevant people are well aware of your channel, just need to be more pushy, unfortunately it's not in our nature to be like that. (From another ulsterman) Was at the show yesterday, royal Enfield stand was great, as was the classic 650
It's a great looking bike, lots of small changes to the Interceptor have added up to a very different bike, in a good way. Sadly though, I fear that you, as I do to a greater extent, will need to invest in some cuban heels to ride this beast; it's surprisingly tall.
I'm happy with the release of a 650 Classic and pleasantly surprised by the Bear. This typed, it's odd that the 650 is a twin, although I did notice they aren't calling it a Bullet, which is traditionally a thumper (single). Thanks for the coverage. As an aside, the title is a bit off, as this is more a show video. That's more than fine, as I enjoy seeing all the bikes - and strange tiny little blue cars. We don't get many shows like this in my present locale. Hope you feel better soon.
Spot on Matt, visited the show today, love the Enfield 650 classic, however I don't want tubed tyres and lots of chrome to polish every time you go out in the British weather. Therefore for me the Shotgun 650 or the black version of the Intercepter 650, don't look as Classic but far more practical for my needs!
Great video per usual! I’m just not loving the new Classic 650 - I think RE missed on this one - it just doesn’t have the classic lines of the 350. Will prob wait to get one until they sort that out in future models.
I have to agree that the 350 is the better looking bike overall, but the 650 is very nice in real life. For some reason it seems to not be so photogenic.
I was at the show on Monday and like yourself the modern classics are my my favourites. I agree with you re your T120 is more classy compared to Triumphs Legend models. That sticker has to grow on me. I currently ride a R.E 350 Classic and was obviously drawn to the 650 Classic. They do look stylish but the weight for a 650 is on the heavy side. However the Bear I could see in my garage along with my 350. And then there's the BSA Srambler. Decisions decisions! Well done with your channel. 👍
Yes I think the weight is an issue for the Classic 650, but I think RE might have hit the sweet spot with the Bear. But that BSA scram does look good too, it’s a tough choice!
Great video Matt, you didn't bore us 😴 with all the regurgitated sports bikes boasting less weight and more hp 😮 I'm gonna reserve my judgement on the RE 650, l like the classic look but I'm quite concerned about the weight. I always wanted RE to build a light 750cc with 50hp, but we have this new 650cc shiny ✨️ bike so l look forward to seeing a road test.
Thanks Mike, yes I agree I think the weight of the new 650’s is probably the only area for criticism, other than that they’re great looking bikes in the flesh, the Bear surprisingly so.
Hi Matt, just got back from there, I thought it was a good show this year, plenty of choice of bikes in the 400cc class. I liked the Bear I think that will sell & I also liked the BMW 450, while I was there I ordered the Hagen shocks for the Classic, I can’t make my mind up with the 650 Classic? Maybe when I see 1 on the road. Hope you managed to make some contacts. Les.
Just find the guy in charge of the press fleet for each manufacturer, tell them about your channel and simply ask. The worst they can say is No. Best of luck Matt 🤞
Thanks, there’s shadowy PR companies that are often gatekeepers to the press fleets. Finding details on those people can be tricky, but I’m going to keep knocking on their door until they see me 😁
Hi Matt…which day were you there? I was bimbling round yesterday . Judging by the weather you were there on a different day. Shame would have been great to say hi over a coffee. Battled into the show on my bike through the snow…I must need therapy. I too was quite taken with the 650 Bear. So many nice bikes and so little in the way of purchasing power…ah well, still can’t beat a bit of two wheeled pornography. Best wishes….
I was there on Saturday morning a made my escape once it started getting a bit sweaty in there around midday. Lots a great bikes coming in the new year, and yes, my bank account is getting nervous about it.
i totally agree with you. ktms are one of the ugliest bikes you can buy - and this is the opinion of an austrian who started his motorcycle life with a ktm GS 500 hard-enduro in the 80s. :D :D :D i have to confess, that the most beautiful bikes come from the british factories (and also from their license producers). BSA, triumph, norton, royal enfield...i´ve really got socialised with these bikes. It is both the design language and the characterful engines that captivated me. if i could call a big garage my own, i would already be bankrupt, after the british classic bike renaissance started a couple of yers ago. :D :D :D congrats to your 30 k subscribers - you really deserved them - and much more in the future. greetings from cold and foggy vienna.
Thanks Onkel, it's cold and foggy here too! I'd love to see someone design a 'Modern Classic' adventure bike, I was hoping the new Himalayan would have been that but it's a bit too modern to fit the brief. Until then I'll keep riding those old British design bikes, they're perfect for 95% of motorcycle riding for normal people.
@@ClassicRides the main issue is, that historical adventure bikes ever had the shape of that, what we call scramblers today. to build a classic adventure bike you are always in danger to get something that looks like a scrambler. royal enfields bear (a very nice looking bike in my opinion) could be a bike you´ra looking for but does not really have the offroad qualities that were expected. i think the triumph 1200 scrambler is one of the bikes that offers these offroad capabilities at this time. i love the look of scramblers, but for example the triumphs have this awful looking exhaust. its not only ugly - no it prevents the possibility to put your sidebags on both sides. only the scrambler 400 fixes this issue. but a real adventure bike should be able to offer suitability for traveling.
“KTM, purveyors of the ugliest bikes you could ever possibly buy with good money”.🤣 Am i to take it you’re not looking to strike up a relationship with them to do any bike reviews?🤔 Anyway Matt, there’s plenty of new modern Classic bikes for you to have a go at. Royal Enfield Bear or BSA Scrambler? Now that’s a tricky one. Cheers for the vlog👍🏍👍
Yeah I might have to accept KTM as a lost cause now 😁. The Bear is quite a tall bike actually, so unless there’s a lowering kit for it I’d have to go for the BSA. But then I’m short, most chaps aren’t.
Classic 650 in teal for me. Pure 1950s style. Really love it. Never ridden a KTM, I don't even like to look in the general direction of one; they make me feel queasy,🤢. "Ready to race"? Nope. Ugliest bike range out there by a country mile. (Just my opinion... Which is of course completely worthless😂)
I don’t think I like kids quite enough to join the Beeb’s list of s@xual predators 😁 The press pass was easy to get, just applied on their website. I think as long as you have some sort of audience they’ll accept you.
You're so easy to listen to. No rock guitar intro, no yelling, no BS. Marvelous. Cheers
Thanks Trev 🙏

Matt, the BSA Scrambler is your next bike!
It could be, feel as though I’m leaning towards the Bear though, seems far better built all round.

I’d agree with that, being pushy isn’t our thing, but I can manage a nice “hello” and see if I can make some connections 😁
I really like the Bear, if it had been around when I was buying my Triumph Scrambler, I think Royal Enfield would have got my money.
It's a great looking bike, lots of small changes to the Interceptor have added up to a very different bike, in a good way. Sadly though, I fear that you, as I do to a greater extent, will need to invest in some cuban heels to ride this beast; it's surprisingly tall.
Matt, I'm more than happy to wear platforms for the right bike, it's about time 70's footwear made a return.

They still look good though, nothing wrong with either of those two bikes, both solid choices 👌
Royal Enfield con il nuovo modello a due cilindri ha ancora migliorato il suo prodotto.
Very very nice.
Bentornata BSA.
Ciao Bro, buona strada ✌️
They’re really good bikes now, and the prices are still very reasonable.
