My wife and I have a house just outside of Tagaytay in Silang, Cavite. It's not in Silang Proper which is basically a city type of area. The housing costs about 30% less than actually living in Tagaytay from what I have seen. We only have about a 15 minute drive to get to Tagaytay. We're only about 6km from People's Park In The Sky but the drive is further than that. We have a great view of People's Park from our subdivision and sometimes it is very cloudy up there. My first trip to the Philippines was only 12 days. I would have loved to stay longer but I was happy to have spent that much time in the Philippines. I think that it will give you a good idea of knowing how you will like it there and if you would want to return again. You should go and enjoy yourself so you don't end up regretting not going.
Don’t forget about the traffic haha… there’s no way you can be in Tagaytay within 1,5 hour on a Friday for example 😂 btw there’s Medical City South Luzon in Santa Rosa which is about 30-45mins away from Tagaytay (depending on traffic) Great video again! Keep it up
Hello, Savvy, My sister and I are planning to move to the PH and live there for about a year and a half. We want to live in Quezon City, do you think that's a good place to live?
D Sumulong hiway from Marikina -Cainta to Antipolo is heavily traffic clogged . Wise not to buy property near or besides hilly area. Quite frequent landslides whenever torrential rains . Weather is cool in d evening , quiet serene but exercise due diligence prior to that. As for me I would prefer Tagaytay , though cost of living would b slightly higher . For those who loves cool evening /nite even normal days Tagaytay suits u. Good luck . Cheers🙏🙏♥️
LOL I saw the title of the video and thought to myself, why just three?? why not “all of them”?? As a manila native, I just *cannot wait* to get out of there whenever I’m back in Pinas .the rest of the country is just so beautiful. But anyhow, nice video!
Foreigners can't buy land, correct? I have heard there are work arounds. In your videos you show some housing areas that look like they might include land. Are you assuming locals buying, ease of work arounds, or are they properties that don't include land and not subject to the special rules?
@@TheSavvyExpat one of the reasons I like your channel is you explore upper class living. Most channels focus on living with barely any money. most expats are probably living far above the average filipino financially.

Hi Savvy. Can you please tell me what Calapan City is like in Oriental Mindoro please. I'm kinda interested in that area. Would HIGHLY appreciate your comments.
I was in Tagaytay a year before smoke spewed up out of the volcano, later I saw pictures of it, it looked scary. Tagaytay is a beautiful place to live but anything could happen at any moment with the volcano. I would still like to visit this place. Best quality salabat (ginger) good for tea. Lol !!!
I prefer Metro Cebu, but not necessarily in one of the 3 independent cities, pretty much everything is here. I've been living here since 2007 and I've never had to go to Metro Manila for anything. I also like the Metro Davao area.
You just cost me more money now that the secret is out about how amazing tagaytay is,l hope real estate price won’t go up as lm planning to move up there and avoid the maddening metro Manila! Otherwise good content!
Go to the local Christian church. For us in BGC (Manila), we go to a church called Victory Fort. Highly recommend you check it out, lots of God fearing women there.
Maybe I'm a bit strange, but I'm wanting a bit LESS of the Western lifestyle. Antipolo sounds the nicest of those three to me, but I wouldn't mind hearing about which province is a common destination for expats. My wife just rolled her eyes at Pampanga, and she's got family that live in Angeles City. Tagaytay is a bit too close to Taal for my liking.
Lol no problem with wanting a provincial lifestyle. I don't see what your wife doesn't like about Pampanga. Sure, Angeles city isn't that great in my opinion. She should check out Clark instead.
It's pretty easy to get out of the western lifestyle. Mostly the food and company you keep. Most expats seem to prefer anything besides filipino food and the company of filipino men. I recommend joining something like a rotary club or golf club to hang out with more locals. Also, there are neighborhoods like the casino district if you like chinese expats to hang out with.
Your focus is on families but most American ex-pats are coming single, with that said why not also feature cities or neighborhoods to support a single ex-pat......great information but again skewed to the couple lifestyle.....love Antipolo it's now added to my list......👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

My first trip to the Philippines was only 12 days. I would have loved to stay longer but I was happy to have spent that much time in the Philippines. I think that it will give you a good idea of knowing how you will like it there and if you would want to return again. You should go and enjoy yourself so you don't end up regretting not going.
very informative, thanks!
Don’t forget about the traffic haha… there’s no way you can be in Tagaytay within 1,5 hour on a Friday for example 😂 btw there’s Medical City South Luzon in Santa Rosa which is about 30-45mins away from Tagaytay (depending on traffic)
Great video again! Keep it up
Great points! Thanks for watching
I know this is subjective,, but which is more visually appealing between Antipolo and Tagaytah? Which is cooler?
Tagaytay is cooler and more appealing. In terms of less crowds and tourists, Antipolo is better Jaime.
@@TheSavvyExpat thanks!
Great vid. Wish you covered cost of condo or house rentals
Can you do a cost of living video of these places? I like being just outside the city
Question on Tagaytay. Is there a lot of brownouts there?
Hello, Savvy, My sister and I are planning to move to the PH and live there for about a year and a half. We want to live in Quezon City, do you think that's a good place to live?
Nice Boy!!!👍👍👍
Big thanks
Wifi in my province area isn't so bad it's actually pretty good for the most part
Good luck . Cheers🙏🙏♥️
I felt connection with this video: You mentioned your friend, John. And you mentioned Clark Pampanga 🌆 and Clark Global City 🏙️. 🤣
😂That's hilarious. I was talking to you in code ;)
@@TheSavvyExpat 😆😂🤣😁🤸😎👍
The Mountain view at 2:39 minutes, where is that?
Whoa taal 🌋 no way la Trinidad or anywhere in benguet cool living no air con or heat needed and fresh veggies nearby 👌 rent rent no buying 😆
Gabbages big problem in most cities . Hopefully , d city admin can find remedies to resolve such environmental issues
Great video. Please do more on cebu. I'll being visiting all of Philippines, but cebu is where my retire home will be. Thank you!
Will do
LOL I saw the title of the video and thought to myself, why just three??
why not “all of them”??
As a manila native, I just *cannot wait* to get out of there whenever I’m back in Pinas .the rest of the country is just so beautiful.
But anyhow, nice video!
Is there a sewer system or generally septic?
"no nose" clever name for phillippines location
Tell us about bel Air :)
Interesting place, will do
And Forbes Park
@@wyattturner99 That's a nice high end place
@@TheSavvyExpat just the type of place I’m looking to move to
👍GOOD INFO 👍🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
How much a month to live in Antipolo?
Hey Mate
I like the “Steven Segal” look..
I just hope it isn't 2022 steven segal
@@TheSavvyExpat BAHAHAHA, omg, 🤣
Wow those places are awesome. Like the Scotland of the east. Me personally want to be surrounded by people. What better than surrounded by Filipinos.🤣
Damn, you look very handsome in this video!
Thanks Aramis
Is true, it does not matter if you have short hair or long hair, you look amazing!
Greeting from California :)
If you were advising a single retiree who prefers apartment living, how would your recommendations on best value change?
Foreigners can't buy land, correct? I have heard there are work arounds. In your videos you show some housing areas that look like they might include land. Are you assuming locals buying, ease of work arounds, or are they properties that don't include land and not subject to the special rules?
I like pico de loro. I also like Ayala in Subic called Anvaya Cove. Still good choices.
Interesting choices Martin. Haven't heard much about those places but it'd probably be worth to look into them
@@TheSavvyExpat one of the reasons I like your channel is you explore upper class living. Most channels focus on living with barely any money. most expats are probably living far above the average filipino financially.
@@manilamartin1001 Totally. I'll be making some videos soon on exploring Philippine resorts.
yeah these 3 places are niceys..............but its ok to live in other provinces too..like nueva ecija....... cheaper to live there..
True Richard.
I'm wondering if bicycles get stolen in the Philippines as much as the U.S and Canada? You have to be so careful where you lock up your bicycle here in Toronto sheesh😡
Hi Savvy. Can you please tell me what Calapan City is like in Oriental Mindoro please. I'm kinda interested in that area. Would HIGHLY appreciate your comments.
nah, farther from the bustling luzon , Visayas region is tell a good pick for me
I was in Tagaytay a year before smoke spewed up out of the volcano, later I saw pictures of it, it looked scary. Tagaytay is a beautiful place to live but anything could happen at any moment with the volcano. I would still like to visit this place. Best quality salabat (ginger) good for tea. Lol !!!
Shout out Dumaguete City 😎🔥
I prefer Metro Cebu, but not necessarily in one of the 3 independent cities, pretty much everything is here. I've been living here since 2007 and I've never had to go to Metro Manila for anything. I also like the Metro Davao area.
You just cost me more money now that the secret is out about how amazing tagaytay is,l hope real estate price won’t go up as lm planning to move up there and avoid the maddening metro Manila! Otherwise good content!
Lol glad I could confirm your decision to move there.
Any advice on finding a Christian Filipina wife? I'll be traveling there pretty soon
Go to the local Christian church. For us in BGC (Manila), we go to a church called Victory Fort. Highly recommend you check it out, lots of God fearing women there.
@@TheSavvyExpat Thank you so much! God bless you
Maybe I'm a bit strange, but I'm wanting a bit LESS of the Western lifestyle.
Lol
Your focus is on families but most American ex-pats are coming single, with that said why not also feature cities or neighborhoods to support a single ex-pat......great information but again skewed to the couple lifestyle.....love Antipolo it's now added to my list......👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Sure thing Junior. This was a change from most of my videos because I mostly talk about city living.
Elevation of Antipolo 137 metres? Goodness. Must you wear oxygen masks? I doubt that elevation ensures coolness
