My wife, mother in law and I went to the Philippines in December 2019 so we could see their side of the family which my mother in law didn't see for 20 years. My wife and mother in law only stayed for 6 weeks and I stayed for 10 months because my wife wanted me to see how I liked living in the Philippines. Right now we are all in California working but we will be going back again at the end of March. Most of the time I stayed at our house in Silang, Cavite. Our house is about 19km (12 miles) north of the main crater of the Taal Volcano. One of the most fascinating days that I had was the day that Taal erupted on January 12, 2020. My wife called me to tell me about Taal when she was with her family in Meycauayan, Bulacan. I went out on the terrace talking to her and I thought that I was hearing thunder when it actually was the crackling from the eruption. Throughout that Sunday things became crazy with the ash falling and being mixed in with rain along with nonstop sirens and volcanic earthquakes. Even with all of that happening it's still not enough to keep me from returning. Eventually it will be homeand I enjoy the people there in the Philippines as well as the subdivision where our house is.

A little history lesson-in 1898, the US bought the Philippines from Spain for $20 million. And gave them independence on July 4, 1946. The US finally left in 1992, when the bases were closed and the lease did not get renewed. A lot of architecture in Manilla is from that era. Love your video's. Your the only channel I've seen that has gone to the Philippines, so thanks for sharing.

Hi guys! That building you mentioned as an old apartment building in BGC is actually not old. It's a high-end condominium building called Serendra, which has landscaped gardens, open spaces, and country-club like amenities. It was designed with Filipino architecture patterned after the distinctive "bahay na bato" design. So you get a mix of traditional Filipino and modern architecture within BGC. It's kind of nice to have the gardens and pools within it than just a typical glass modern building.

It used to be Philippine Air Force Base. My Uncle was a Colonel and I like to sleep over with my Cousins who lived there. I have been home twice and even stayed at the Venice Condo there which we loved. The stores are more expensive than Greenhills or Quezon City. Hopefully we will get home after Christmas. 😍🙌🏼

Welcome back to the Philippines 🇵🇭 there's a lot to explore in Manila..I recommend places like Robinson and mega mall in Ortigas, Eastwood in Quezon City, Greenhills, Newport Manila, Intramuros, China Town, MOA, Greenbelt in Makati, Ayala mall in Roxas boulevard, IKEA, Alabang city, BGC, Makati power plant, SM north edsa and many others..feel at home..enjoy!

My cardio video every time, so I won't get bored on the treadmill or rope. 🙂 I watched almost all the videos already. I particularly love the Greece and Turkey series.
I'm sure your Filipino fans will be thrilled you're back. I didnt know your first country was the Philippines, I watched your first videos then. The Philippines and Brazil have very good visa arrnagements. I suspect one of the islands you're going to visit is Balabac in the southern tip of Palawan, just a boat ride to (back) to Malaysia. There's also Siargao (which I think you haven't been to), and far away Batanes (pricey tickets), with a very chill vibe. During the pandemic, I think you showed your viewers how to survive in the Philippines and gave your viewers a positive feel despite the challenges of living through a pandemic.
In the memorial, they meant not to walk on the grass where the white crosses are... but you can traverse the green grass to get into the marble columns and inside there were marblr maps on the walls depicting various wars with facts and military maps such as Battle of Bataan (Philippines), Pearl Harbour, Battle of Midway, Guadalcanal and many others.. also those marble standing contains all the names of the people buried or that died from various US states. There's also a moving altar there.. just very serene place..
yeah we missed the main part there :/ next time!
