I’m not sure how useful you’ll find this, since you can get a similar result with addons, but I found a way to make custom items that act differently from the same item if in the inventory. For example, a special item can have a command block linked to it that gives you a special effect, that won’t be applied to the regular instances of that item. So by using the “hasitem” prefix you can make a certain apple (for example) give you an effect without all apples doing the same. It doesn’t work with items that have durability, but you can use commands to give yourself an item with an specific ID, without any real limit to the number you can use (highest I’ve tried is 99999). Combining this with the “data” specifier of “hasitem” you can differentiate one item by essentially giving it a special ID. If you combine it with other items of the same type the data value resets, so renaming it stops that issue. I’ve been using a variation of your crafting system and this ID trick to make craftable custom items for a while now since it allows for essentially infinite different items if you don’t mind the appearance being the same. I have been following your channel for a while and thought you might find it interesting.

i dont know if you saw this but i used the old version commands and what i changed was that the tp command repeats and is on a set tick delay so that it travels, until it hits its target and you could add another command that will instantly killl the projectile if you want it to have a certain range

You could probably achieve a good enough result using tags applied on a directional area positioned at a distance from the point of view of players (execute […] positioned ^^^X). So maybe giving strength to players that have a certain item and/or are of a certain class (also achievable by tags) and aren’t on the field of view of players could work. Making it only work while close to other players using [r=] and [rm=] could avoid scenarios where spies instakill anything that isn’t a player. Or just use @e on the main command, whatever works best.

After a lot of tinkering, i figured out you could use maps instead of regular items which would let you right click instead of crouching.
Fishing rods are another good option

i got a syntax error saying: unexpected "slot": at "location=>>slot
That should be right did you use periods or commas in the command because it should be location=slot.weapon.mainhand
