We are still running our old 2011 7760 with 3k hrs on it. Been a good machine. People don’t think about it but they are like 560hp or something like that and the only thing that isn’t run by hydraulic fluid is the engine fan the alternator and the ac. Pretty crazy that much power runs thru hydrostatics.
Tim great job filming about cotton. I have never had the opportunity to see cotton farming due to our northern Canada location. Throughly enjoyed it. Cheers Robert
Very relatable video for my part of the country. A lot of my customers are Agriculture related.......cotton gins, peanut buying points and shelling plants, pecan shelling plants and sawmills.
a little different content this morning but very good video as always. I love learning new things. thank you for all the hard work you put into these videos bud. I greatly appreciate it. so thank you very very much Tim. as always stay safe out there and take care Sir.oh by the way... I really like when you talk about the history of down south. I could listen to you talk about that all day long. I love history.
I remember when I first seen one of these John Deere 7760 cotton pickers, back in 2011-2012. It is an awesome machine to pick and bale the cotton while harvesting. I don't know if you have heard, but John Deere also has a cotton stripper that does the same thing, called the CS690. Great video as always.
Sure is different than it was 35 to 40 years ago when I was in the cotton farming! 😊 Anyone else remember tromping cotton trailers? Hell of a machine! Thanks for sharing and take care. 👍
Those picker fingers make OK centre punches, Got one over 30 years ago and it still has a lot of life in it. I used to sell spray eqip to cotton farmers over here in Aust, spent may a lunch hour watching them gobble up the bolls.
You're not a kidding that's a heck of a piece engineering thanks for all you bring I love any equipment big and small that's why I've been watching you for years you keep it interesting...✌
Wow, what an interesting machine. Somebody was using their thinker to come up with that. I bet it'd be a bad day to get your hand caught up in those spinning barrels in the front!
There are a large number of cotton farms in central AZ, between Casa Grande and the outskirts of Phoenix along I-10. In fact one of the state of AZ slogans is Cotton, Cattle and Copper.
The initial investment on on 7760 is huge but it quickly pays for itself. Our neighbor replaced 2 9996’s, 2 boll buggies, and 4 module builders with 1 7760. Not to mention 6 employees that are no longer needed.
Brian Webber yes, but unfortunately it’s just business. Anytime you can decrease your overhead and keep more money in your pocket it just makes good sense. In this case it allowed my neighbor to eliminate non family employees. The cost savings the 7760 brought to his farm are huge year to year.
Can you explain what y’all mean by getting on the right 6 rows. I hear that all the time, but I never understand it. I figured the GPS would help out with that.
I guess hearing the price of that used machine changed your mind on farming equipment not costing as much as logging equipment like you said when y'all bought the new cutter?
Jalenwalshak359 Chemical defoliant and growth inhibitor. The defoliant drops the leaves before harvest and the growth inhibitor stops the plant from reproducing and growth.
Great video thanks for sharing any header work or header parts you need for you picker we manufacture our own line @www.rmking.com and have been rebuilding headers for the last 65 years

pickers have come a long way since the 9910s I grew up around.
This picker definitely seems to clean better than the old style in the other video

Clinton Stubbs waiting on Big Tractor Power to film one. It has been a while since he has filmed a cotton harvest.

Another fun, interesting video. Anxious to see your “Sat” adventure
Those things have some serious power. The back wheels are almost the size of the front wheels on the older basket pickers.
Looks like an operator's dream but a mechanic's nightmare.
A lot of engineering went into designing and building that awesome machine.
Sure different from picking in the 60's when I was a kid. Frickin' awesome!
Nice change of pace. Great farming, showing American people how 'mother earth' helps sustain life! ....13
Thanks for the great video Tim! Keep ‘em coming!

About everyone here in North Bama got one, but there's a few that still build modules.

Sucks for the employees

Great video Tim. Always good to learn something new. Thanks for the video. Later

Thanks. Just amazing. 🦅 Eaglegards...
It's kinda/sorta like a Transformer
I hadn’t thought about that but it is just like a transformer.
That’s what I thought when I saw it transforming.
when looking at the field where the picker has been do they go back threw at later day to get what the picker did not get first pass
No
Its only in 360p for me??
Go to ur settings and put it on 1080
I couldn’t get it off 360P either, figured TH-cam was just having troubles.
what of part of mississippi you live
Columbus
What do they spray it with to deaden the stems and leaves before they harvest it?

You know I watch a lot of your videos. And you don't do any hunting videos like maybe you could do hunting videos.
I have several hunting videos on here.
